Stayed 1 night

I was going to Baldwin, Michigan to check on my property. I live 3 1/2 hours from Baldwin and I booked a reservation at the Red Moose Lodge Oct 17- Oct 18. We checked in at 3:00 p.m. I knocked on the office door and a man answered the door and told me to meet him on the side door so that I could check in on the iPad and pay $169.60 for our cabin. We were given a map and I was baffled and found out that our cabin was about half a mile away from the office. He explained the directions and I went back to the car and but was still confused and went back to confirm. He (Clint), gave me the directions again but he said if I couldn't find it to come back and he would take us there. We set off again but wasn't sure which cabin it was and had to head back again. I explained that it would be best if he took us which I think should have been done in the first place. It's just good business for your customers to make sure that they find their accommodations. He told us to follow him but we noticed that he was driving very fast and we were trying to keep up with him. I felt like we were a bother but got to the cabin. Both myself & my BFF had additional questions that were answered. The cabin was very clean but we noticed when we went to bed that the heat did not reach our bedrooms b/c our doors were closed. We were very cold and could not find any vents in the bedrooms. *Good location for the reason I was there, but in all honesty would not return for another stay!!! 😔

A true family owned lodge set on the river. Great location, clean room and wonderful swing right at the edge of the river to enjoy. Grounds are beautiful. Will definitely stay here again when we are in the area.
