Hiland Terrace Hotel

The room was in ill repair and it smelled of smoke. We did not even stay the night, we got another hotel room. When I showed up at the door the woman who worked there was telling me to leave, I had woken her up around 4 pm when I showed up.

This place is not what it is advertised to be, it is listed as a hotel and when you arrive it claims to be a motel on the sign. when you drive through it’s barely even a motel, just a bunch of sheds that are not clean at all. Photos online are not at all representative of the rooms. I checked out after seeing the room and could not get my money back.

First off, the staff was very gracious. The rooms were clean and the linens newer. The building could use some updating as the sidewalks are sinking a bit making it harder for those with mobility issues to get into their rooms. It also appears that most of the guests are transients workers, maybe in oil, which isn't an issue but they have different needs then visitors to an area. The rooms are small and my room did not have some of the items that my son's room had, like chairs

The receptionist was nice. She personally cleaned our room. The facility is very old and not updated or maintained.
