If you are anywhere in the vicinity of Louisiana MO, do not hesitate to seek out the River's Edge Motel. The view of the Mississippi River from our room was worth ten times the room rate. Enjoying a glass of wine at sunset in the gazebo outside our room was priceless. Overall a peak experience while traveling the great river road.

I loved the folks that ran the motel -- they were friendly, courteous, and helpful. I also like the price -- affordable for those of us traveling on a budget. It doesn't have an indoor pool or exercise room or free breakfast but we were traveling, not looking for a resort.

Room was very clean and fresh smelling. We had stayed before (July 2025) and our room smelled old and damp. This time was MUCH better. Staff was very pleasant. We will use River's Edge again. Thank you so much!

The staff at the motel were very friendly. Areas surrounding the motel were scenic near the river. For the most part the room was very clean. However, it looked like some mold was inside the air conditioning unit, which concerned me. I also had a hard time accessing WiFi while there. The signal cut out. Bed was too firm for me, but some probably wouldn’t mind it.

If what you need is a clean place to sleep that isn't expensive, this is a fine motel. The staff were very friendly. As a family of five, it was nice to have a room with three beds, and the fridge was large enough for all our travel food. The bathroom was clean and looked to be recently renovated. The room could use some updating. The comforters were old and pilled. But it was clean, safe, friendly, and had a nice view.

I was not charged the quoted price on Hotels.com when I checked in. When I checked out the next morning and was going to ask them about the difference, no one would come to the desk. Just a drop off box was provided. I ask for a king sized bed and received two full size instead.

When I went to check in the door into the lobby was locked. I had to call the facility so someone could come and let me in. Then the desk clerk kept asking me if a certain person with the same last name was with me.i responded no four times.

I would give 10 stars if I could. I was foolish and left my computer in the room and then drove away. They notified me upon finding it. Kept in touch and sent the machine as soon as they could. I am using it now. The room was clean. The staff was wonderful. The water was hot. There is a place to eat next door. Oh yes, the Mississippi was beautiful too. We could walk down to the water's edge. Yes.

Beautiful view of the river, river boats, barges, and train rails. The check-in was fast, friendly and courteous. Dining was difficult due to places all being closed that were on the yellow pages list, except for the gas station food offerings. We will stay here again!

It had a good view of the river. Facility has an old school look and feel but was super clean and cozy. Mattress was a bit more firm than I like but I still had a great and quiet sleep. Overall, my wife and I will definitely be back on again!

We were so pleased to find such a nice motel right on the Mississippi River when we began looking for a place to stay. The view from our room was beautiful, and our room was clean and comfortable and reasonably priced. The owner was friendly and informative about motel/town history, good restaurants, etc. We highly recommend!
