Excellent location and stay. Only 2-3 blocks from Grand Central, and 4-5 blocks from the NY Library and Bryant Park. It was a great location for a great price. Even for being close to a lot of busy areas, the area right out front is relatively quiet by NYC standards. So, you're not dealing with massive crowds in and around the hotel or passing by at all times of day/night. We were supposed to arrive quite early, and were going to drop the bag off to hold until we could check in at 4, but our train was badly delayed, so we ended up getting there just before 2, they were able to get us into a room then, so we could drop off and go and not have to worry about the check-in process later. Room was large enough for 2, and was pretty quiet during our stay. Bed was a bit soft for our liking, but no more than most hotels, so its just a personal preference. There is an attached bar/restaurant, that we got a evening drink in, but ended up getting breakfast near by in the morning (something we had checked out earlier), but its a nice space. Would definitely stay here again on the next overnight in New York.

We had a delightful stay at the Renwick. There was an incident regarding a paid late checkout request agreed too before we booked at this property. Sadly they were not able to honour this arrangement and could not accommodate both our rooms, management acknowledged their error but chose not to go further in resolving the issue .. I found their stance to be disappointing! A small fix would have resulted in a perfect experience. Outside of this The door man Suresh was outstanding, so helpful and pleasant , happily arranged a ride to the airport on our departure which was cheaper than the ride apps and so reliable. Driver was waiting outside 10 min before our arranged time. Carmine the housekeeper was remarkable she went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, definitely an asset to this property. The hotel itself is a total experience. Beautifully decorated! We booked 2 of their suites and I can tell you it won’t disappoint. The location was perfect for our family. Down the road from Bryant park and the NY public library and pretty much an easy walk to most attractions. The Subway is super close should you wish to get anywhere in a hurry. I do recommend this property for all it offers!

The Renwick was conveniently located for us, just a quick walk from Grand Central, and nearby parking made getting our luggage to the hotel pretty easy. The price was reasonable overall. They do charge around $40 per night for things like bottled water, Wi-Fi and tea, which I thought was ridiculous. The bathroom was insanely small—you can basically stretch your arms out and touch both sides. Even worse, after flushing, our toilet/bathroom would smell like urine or sewer. The walls are also paper thin. Unfortunately, we got to listen to other guests making what sounded like pornos throughout the night. There’s a vent directly above the bed that seems to act like a speaker for surrounding rooms. The room itself was spacious enough for two people or a solo traveler, but I wouldn’t recommend it for a family with kids. The only bathroom is accessed through the bedroom. We also waited over 35 minutes for bedding for the pullout couch. Be careful booking breakfast or other add-ons through the pre-arrival email. Our breakfast was supposed to start at 7:00 AM, but the restaurant didn’t open until about 7:25, and we had scheduled plans to get to. Thankfully, there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance. I’ll probably return to New York, but I wouldn’t stay at The Renwick again.
