Great place to relax, beautiful view from the deck .

We have been staying here for 3 years now. This place is amazing. Always clean and bonus bar restaurant on site. 10/10 every time. Will continue to stay here.

Very nice to have a little deck off my room overlooking the little Salmon River! Also nice that the owners also offer a little tavern on site where you can have a nice dinner! So all in all a very convenient, pretty property.

The good: food in the adjacent restaurant was outstanding. Staff was friendly and efficient. Room was on the river with a covered porch. Parking right in front of the rooms. The not so good: mattress was firm as a hardwood floor. Water pressure so low it just dribbled from the shower head. Room could use a bit of upkeep.

Last minute fishing trip and hubby says book a place. I find this gem and I mean hidden away surprise of a gem! Price is great and the huge parking areas/grounds/restaurant/bar are just a bonus. The scenery and deck off the room were priceless! Really nice owner couple that takes fantastic care of you. Food was delicious! The hubby already booked to go back this weekend for a fishing tournament. Thanks so much for an awesome stay!

The property was beautiful. Creek winding through the property, walking trails with flora and a fireplace to relax on a crisp August night. The rooms are dated. There is not a doorless walk in shower or granite counters. But the room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the mattress was new and the staff were super friendly and accommodating.

My wife and I stayed at the EIS house for a fishing trip. The room was spacious and clean. The best part was the restaurant was 100 feet from our sliding glass door. We had dinner there all three nights, GOOD FOOD !

I have business in the area a couple times a year and the location is very convenient. The room is comfortable and the restaurant is great.

Bar/restaurant on site. Quiet well kept rooms for lodging. My 3rd year staying here. Will not stay anywhere else!

Our room needed to be vacuumed and window area wiped down. I don’t feel our room was clean.

Chrissy and company were very friendly and polite. The room was well kept and clean. Excellent place to stay for short term or long term. Bonus restaurant on site with great good and atmosphere.

The owners of this property were extremely nice and helpful. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. It was very quiet, but close to town. We would definitely stay here again.

bugs in linens for sofa bed…hard to tell if sheets had been cleaned or not. Bathroom ran out of hot water.

I don’t even know where to begin. The day of my check in I called the bar to make sure I was able to check into my room at 9pm. (Or I would have checked in around 3pm) the answer I received was “oh yeah we are a bar we will be open until 2am… just come up to the bar and we will give you your code”. She also verified my room number while on the phone. Fast forward to 9pm… I pull in and the entire place was SHUT DOWN. I had absolutely no way to get into my room. I called several times and left a message. I still have NEVERRRR received a call back from the Eis House. Luckily enough… I was able to check into my room because the codes on the doors to the rooms are one number off from the units. How safe!!!! When I entered the room the smoke detector was between the wall and the mini fridge, the wires were loose and hanging from the ceiling. I wiped off the surfaces in the room and the wipe was a black outline of my hand. The water pressure was close to zero. DO NOT STAY HERE. Not worth it. In any way shape or form. Worst experience ever.

Owners friendly. Have owned only 6 months (purchased January 2023) . We hope they succeed. Bed comfortable. Carpet grungy. Dresser and table looked as if they had been picked up free along road with discarded trash. Wi-if did not work. Had to stand on a chair to turn on TV, but even then could not watch any network programming. Window air conditioner loud.

There pictures and descriptions didn’t quite match the Room we stayed in. I was led to believe the room I booked had a deck that faces the river with a nice view. ( It faced the parking lot on the opposite side of the hotel. The room was sapose to accommodate 2 adults and a child if needed and said there was a rollaway bed. When checking in they charged a extra 25 for a old beaten down fold out bed cot that was 5 inches off the ground. There was random mixed matched furniture that had no functionality and took up space. Even though I wanted a room for two people and they had a room with two beds they said that was a little extra, they didn’t give us that one and still charged me 25 bucks for the extra bed. The tv was spotty and ran off of slow WiFi. Only one room was advertised to be available when clearly the place was not sold out or even close. No signs or directions as to where to check in. That’s at the bar/restaurant. It appeared that one lady was the bartender/ waitress/ cleaning lady/ and checking us in. The couple other staff appeared to be brand new and being trained so food service was slow. Although the food was actually good! This is definitely not a 125 hotel room and it was clear there rates were higher because of a month of fisherman traveling to near by area to fish. There advertising sweets lol and they clearly were not. The furniture looked as if it was from a yard sale of church give away and was just all throw together.

The rooms wall backed up to the kitchen so we could smell the cooking and it was a little noisy when they were cleaning up

Great location. Be sure you call ahead for check-in....we didn't and found the place closed...owners returned call after a bit and let us in but it felt that we got lucky. Room was nice enough, beds very comfortable. The refrigerator did not work, and when we told owner nothing was done. Since the fridge didn't work we didn't cook and can't speak to the stove top. Attached bar/ restaurant is fun and friendly. Good enough food, definitely a local hang out and I liked meeting folks. It was definitely a step up from other places I have stayed in the area

I checked in very late and Debbie hung around to make sure I got in safely. Much appreciated. The place was clean and looks like the owners care and take pride in their facilities. The restaurant/bar was superb. There’s also a McD and gas station close by. Mexico is 15-20 minutes from the salmon river and the drive wasn’t too bad. It isn’t the Tailwater but for the price, I will look to book here again.

The staff was the best. I’ve stayed in many places by Pulaski and the staff and room was great. I highly recommend staying there!!!!

No signs for check in you have to go in the bar. The staff was great! The room was mostly clean and very quiet all things considered. No toilet paper anywhere. Nice place.

We enjoyed our one night stay at the Eis House. Chrissy was very attentive to our requests when we called with questions. It’s a nice place to stay if you are ever in the Mexico NY area.

We had a pleasant stay. It is off the beaten path, but not far from main street. McDonald's and Dunkin donuts close by. Also not far from Pulaski to the east, and Oswego to the west.

EIS house is tucked away in the back fields in Mexico NY. The building is very unassuming and at first we weren’t sure w had the right location. It is part of a ‘catering hall, pub, restaurant’. You have to go into the restaurant and sign in with the owner. Code entry to the rooms. We stayed in a two bed room. The efficiency room is new, very clean, simple yet very comfortable. Beds and linens were cozy. Shower had amazing water pressure. Having the restaurant right there is convenient. There is a river that runs along the back of the property. Very pretty. The only thing I would have liked would be fresh coffee in the lobby as the complimentary coffee in the room was, well you know. The staff are friendly and accommodating. I’d stay there again.

I have business in the area a couple times a year and the location is very convenient. The room is comfortable and the restaurant is great.

Safe and quiet

The whole staff there was fantastic. The food was out of this world! Was there for work and the time at the Eis house made it enjoyable. When I know I’ll be in that area for work in the future it will be my first choice.

The place is haunted. Ringing bells in the night. Knocking on doors when no one is in the building. They recently had Syracuse paranormal there. They have video. Would I go back? Absolutely.. I'm not scared. I like this stuff. Great food and great alcohol. Owners are amazing. So besides the friendly ghosts it's a great place.
