Courtyard by Marriott Phoenix Mesa Gateway Airport

Very pleasant stay. Easily secured a reservation on the shuttle to the airport (AZA) for a very early flight the day before via phone. Check in went smoothly, room was clean, well furnished and comfortable. Staff friendly and most helpful.

Adequate accommodations for close stay to family for Thanksgiving. Not too fond of the extremely loud air conditioner or the constant slamming of doors from people coming and going all hours of the day.and night. Also, when I booked online it said parking was $10 a day. When I received my statement, I was charged $15 daily. All in all nice hotel.

We booked our stay after confirming with the hotel that they had 24-hour shuttle service to the Phoenix Mesa Gateway airport that is 5 minutes from the hotel. We check in and asked to schedule a shuttle for December 27 at 4:30 am. We were told that the shuttle was only available beginning at 5:00 am. So we said ok but it might make our airport checkin a little tight. Then we are given a room with a broken television and had to change rooms but we thought, no big deal On December 27th we checked out at 4:40am and waited for the 5:00am shuttle. It never came! There was only one person working in the entire hotel. He said he tried multiple times to contact the shuttle driver and his manager but could not reach either one. We asked if he could call a cab or airport shuttle to get us to the airport. The front desk worker said he didn’t have any contact numbers and we could try calling an uber ourselves. My husband and I made several calls but none of the ride services could respond soon enough to get us to the airport in time for our flight. I asked the front desk worker if he could drive us. He said no, he might lose his job if he left the hotel. I asked him what would he do or who would he call in the event of an emergency at the hotel, he said he would call 911. Finally at 5:35 after another guest came down for their 5:45 shuttle, the front desk worker decided to start the shuttle and take us to the airport! My husband and I ran through the airport and got to the gate

The hotel is in a great location with lots of stores close by which is convenient. The shuttle was down for maintenance, and they paid for an Uber instead. The proximity to the airport can't be beat. My kids planned on swimming and using the hot tub but this was their downfall. The hot tub never worked, the water was freezing cold and murky. When I enquired at the front desk, I was told it hasn't worked well for weeks but they would get someone to look at it the following day. Nothing ever changed so basically, we got no use out of these amenities. The pool is not heated which they state online but it was also never cleaned, lots of debris and foliage all over. They were not in any rush to remedy any of these issues, so if you have kids who want to use the pool or hot tub, don't book here.

This place was EXCEPTIONAL, ESPECIALLY THE STAFF! My husband and I had traveled from Sedona that day hitting 5 o’clock traffic, missing one exit and our 8 year old son kicking the back of Daddy’s seat “accidentally” multiple times. When we arrived Kat was a breath of fresh air, and a real sweetheart! We dropped our bags then had to return our car back to the Turo owner. When we got back to the hotel we grabbed one of the BEST Old Fashions I’ve had, from Abbi, the SWEETEST bartender with the kindest heart. Then Keoni another staff member proceeded to engage with our son in the most lovely FAMILY kind of way, when Mom & Dad needed a little break. YOURE THE BEST BROTHER! This place felt like HOME! Welcoming, kind, excellent service and wonderful drinks and food! Above and beyond! One more shout out to Skip, the morning desk gentleman. He was upbeat and kind, and even told us which gate we had for our upcoming flight! Way to go everyone! WE LOVE YOU!!! Thank you for an exquisite ending to our family AZ trip! Clean cozy and mini store. Pool was great

We checked in by 11 pm , quick derive from Gateway Mesa airport , plenty of parking .Nice room . Standing shower . Breakfast available as well as Starbucks on site

Really nice use of space. Clean. New feeling. Great customer service. Pool was nice. Fitness room top notch. Very convenient to the airport. Shuttle was easy.

Front desk was very friendly, but the room was not clean. Several bugs in the bathroom coming up out of the drain. The lotion bottle was used and almost empty. The shampoo bottles in the shower were severely watered down. Also the stomping from up stairs kept us up all night. Our room was not cleaned during our stay, they said it was because of the pandemic, first of all the pandemic has been over for quite some time now, secondly how would not cleaning and providing clean linens help with a pandemic? I thing they use this as an excuse to not have to clean the rooms! And it wasn’t even clean when we checked in! We will not be returning unfortunately.

Our room was a bit dusty and the windows were dirty. The shower floor was not clean and the mattress was uncomfortable.

Bathroom and shower not clean

The property was nice but the room was dirty. We stayed 7 days and they never cleaned it. They told us everyday that they would clean it and they never did. We asked for towels and they never brought them to the room. We ended up having to go to the desk to get towels everyday. It’s too bad because the place could be nice.

In our toilet where the water goes down the tube part it looked like they hasn’t cleaned it well and it had brown which even if it wasn’t, looked like feces.

Property great except beds are super stiff. Not great for anyone with back issues.

Loved the room layout. Comfortable bed and linens. Nice cold and quiet air con. Shower needs updated//fixed in room 204. Cracked tile and stains down walls and around shower pan. Very unappealing.

The rooms are larger than typical hotel rooms, the lobby and business center offers plenty of comfortable and private areas, and the staff are professional and friendly. 5 stars!

Only there for 1 night! However the WIFI wasn’t working in room and coffee maker cheap brand was awful! I expect more at Courtyard Marriott—Keurig only way to go!! Let bed the room itself but wasn’t there long enough to enjoy it

We stayed at this property on 11/29 and 11/30. We booked a “suite” for our family. We were in room 214. The suite was an obviously remodeled handicap room that had no kitchenette, nor separated rooms between living and sleeping, as has been my past experiences with suites. The only thing that gave it even close to a suite experience as the size of the room and the fact that it had a couch. Either way, both nights we stayed there we were woken up throughout the night by sounds of construction. There was no construction going on, but the room was located directly above the automatic doors to the hotel and next to the elevator. It turns out both of those sent noise directly into our room. If I were to stay at this location again, I would definitely not stay in that room again.

The room was clean and spacious. The bed was okay, the pillows were uncomfortable and way too soft. Other than that everything else was good. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The other thing was that on a holiday, breakfast should have been offered until a later time, like 11am.

The room was very spacious, very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The front desk staff was competent and efficient and made check in a brief task.

Front desk was great. Room was clean. Tub didnt drain well. No phone. Ac/heater unit made an awful noise. Room we stayed in the windows were next to firepot so you heard everyone outside sitting next to it and kept us up. No breakfast unless you pay for it. Hot tub didnt work and thats one of my kids favorite things to do. And when we first landed the shuttle was over 30 mins late. Besides the front desk service rest of stay wasnt good especially for the price charge which is disappointing because i usually always stay at a courtyard Marriott wherever i travel

Air conditioner was very loud. Everything else was great!

The check in person was very unfriendly! She was very unacommidating and uncaring, very frigid and did not pass on that we needed a shuttle to the airport in the a.m. so it was not arranged for the next day. This was unfortunate everyone else there was friendly and nice and she was the spoiler. Location excellent every thing great but she must really hate her job because it shows!!!

Air con was dead, but they quickly swapped out our room. It’s 102 temp here. Great service.

After being up for 24 hours straight-we were returning from a trip to Europe- we arrived at the Marriott Courtyard around 11:30pm. We were told they had a problem in one of their rooms and we had been moved to a La Quinta 5 miles away. We had a reservation for 2 night, but we were told they had no rooms the next night either. We returned the next day to speak with the manager, who did have a room that she compensated us with the next night. She said she would contact Expedia to get our expense removed, but she hasn’t done that so far. We have stayed at this Marriott a number of times and love it there, but this time was a truly bad experience.

The staff was extremely nice and helpful during our stay.

First time at this property. Booked it because of early morning flight out of Mesa Gateway. Because shuttle does not start until 5am, it will be tight to make our connection. Everything else is very good.

We had had a rough day. Stressful visits to Mayo and a car accident on 202. When we got to the hotel Keoni was at the front desk and put smiles on our faces with his warm attitude. When checking out the Gentleman that was working (didn’t catch his name) was just as pleasant. The room was clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend.

We liked the closeness to the Phoenix Mesa Gateway airport .Walkability to restaurants and the friendliness and courtesy of the shuttle drivers !

Beautiful property, friendly staff, and even in the AZ heat, walking to get food or go to Super target/Walmart was 10mins or less.

Location. Easy access to freeway, lots of restaurants nearby.

We want close proximity to Mesa airport as had early morning flight. This hotel was perfect.

So close to the airport as well as to stores. Parking lot well lighted at night.

Convenient location to the freeways and where I needed to get to. Large malls nearby for grocery/supply needs.

Great property close to airport!

We went for our child’s soccer game. The hotel was close to the field, restaurants and shopping.

Great rooms and close to great restaurants in the area.

Breakfast was speedy. and quality was average at best!

I was disappointed to find out that this hotel does not include continental breakfast. They have food items available for purchase. Also our body wash in our bathroom was all out. We could have used an extra towel and an extra blanket for the fold out couch. We were also charged for parking which I was not anticipating.

Nice property. Friendly staff. Was surprised to have to pay for parking ($15 per night) since the hotel is in a suburban area. Had to buy breakfast ( which was good) but make sure you order food well before closing (10 am for breakfast) because they shut the kitchen down early on Sunday and only had drinks available at 9:50 am, which was disappointing.

Excellent place to stay. Very comfortable. Only thing is breakfast is not included as it says. It is available but you pay for it.

The Bistro serving dinner and breakfast was so convenient and the food was good. The entire staff were helpful and pleasant.

Great staff! Newly updated and beautiful! Nice easy dinner at the cafe. Staff called room to check if everything was satisfactory- they are great!

Very clean but over priced! Disappointed on no breakfast

The accommodations were very nice and very clean. Room was nicely furnished and things appeared new. The staff at check-in was super nice. My only negative was the bistro. We ate dinner there and it was not good and it took forever to get our food and different parts of our meal came out at different times.

Nice room, good options for breakfast, close to shopping.
