onze eerst stop na Inverness ligt aan de fjord van Crommarty ; je kunt de cruiseschepen zien binnen varen die een paar honderd meter verderop aanleggen. Het is een kleine detour van de hoofdroute van de North-coast 500; maar hier een zeer prijs gunstige en prima overnachting. Rustig; geen lawaai. Er is vrije parkeren voor de deur. Prima kamer. Het dorp Invergordon stelt verder niet veel voor; maar op loopafstand wel een grote supermarkt. We hebben een uitstekend avondmaaltijd gehad en een keurig verzorgd ontbijt. Was een goede keus

Unpretentious small hotel in unglamorous Invergordon. Simple room with all the amenities to hand. Really nice staff and the bar food is very good. Lovely to enjoy breakfast looking over the Cromarty Firth.

Nice location. Off road parking in front of the hotel but had my door marked by another vehicle during our stay. So watch where you park. Food was fine, beds comfortable. Entrance area very tired, especially the carpets and the stair bannister was sticky.... Fine for a one night stop would probably look elsewhere next time.

We had a twin room, above the restaurant and with a view across the Comarty Firth. The room was basic, but clean, comfortable, and ensuite. There was noise in the evening from the restaurant (as you would expect), but we were generally out, eating, or watching TV, so it didn’t bother us. The food was fresh and amazing and definitely recommended. The staff were young, worked very hard, as a team, and were very helpful (I hope management recognises that). Would definitely stay again, and recommend for the value for money price bracket.

Place badly needs an update, public areas look very dirty, carpets need replacing and a fresh coat of paint would work wonders. Room very basic but clean and fresh, ensuite very well maintained. Food was good and staff very friendly and efficient.

The breakfast was really good. The room was tiny and was not that clean. There was a lot of dust smell in the room which made it a bit difficult for us as my wife is allergic to dust. We felt everything in the room was very dusty including the curtain, floor carpet, and lampshades.

As noted in a number of reviews this property looks a bit tired and in need of refurb but that shouldn't stop anyone from coming. The room was clean and comfortable with a lovely view. Only slight negative would be low water pressure in the shower. Staff were lovely and the breakfast was superb.

For an overnight stay it was good. I ended up with the single room #4 that had a view of the poorly maintained back yard. It was fine as I was only there to sleep while traveling the NC500. It was clean and the room was warm on a cold rainy evening. A tip for hot water is that you have to turn the hot water button on that is just outside the bathroom door near the light switch. Great hot water, but don't turn the bottom knob all the way to the right or else it will just get scalding hot and then go cold. Leave the bottom knob over to the left area! No one explained this to me so if you are from the states, you probably won't know this. The front bar/restaurant staff that handled the check in and breakfast were great in answering all of my questions. I ate dinner and the food was very good. I had the spicy tomato soup and the fried sweet chili chicken strips (really good). The hot breakfast was also plentiful and tasty!

First time visitor to Invergordon. Truckers inn was easy to find with great views of Cromarty firth. On my arrival I was warmly greeted with good explanations regarding my stay. It was easy to book a table for dinner. My room was basic but ample for my needs. I had a good sleep and very pleasant stay.

Food was good. Room was alright, if laid out a little odd and the floor slants to the interior. Everything we wanted was close by and available. Room had a nice view of the Firth. Stayed 2 nights. Would stay again.

My stay was excellent. Extremely friendly staff from the moment I arrived until I left. Good food at reasonable price for evening meal, and a brilliant inclusive breakfast. Single room was perfect, desk / seat, window that opened (so many places you cannot open window) plenty of power points, ensuite shower and WC. At this price point I feel it was excellent value for money. I would definitely stay again.

My husband was taken ill late at night and the staff here were wonderful. They stayed with us till the ambulance arrived to take him to hospital. Despite us only being booked in for 1 night they went out of their way to accommodate me for a second night and have given me lots of support. This is a hotel that can be proud of their staff. I would recommend you visit if in the area. And to make it even better the food is delicious.

Yes, the hotel is a little dated but it is clean and comfortable. The room we were in needs some refreshing but that doesn’t mean it isn’t worth staying. Meals in the restaurant/pub were very delicious. It is about half hour from Inverness but that means the area is very quiet. The hotel overlooks the bay. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

Well located off the main road and convenient free parking. The room was clean with a very comfortable bed. Good pub/restaurant on site. Breakfast was excellent.

Good family room with comfortable beds and a spacious bathroom. Good view of the harbor from the room. Delicious and generous breakfast is included with the room. Staff were extremely nice and helpful. Hotel is a 5-10 minute walk to the center of town with shopping and restaurants and lots of murals. So glad we stayed here with the small town charm over Inverness.

Stayed here one night after a camping trip. The room was very small but very comfy beds and quiet - slept very well. The restaurant was awesome for dinner - we didn’t expect such a solid quality of food. Breakfast was very good - filling, with loads of options. We were very content with our stay here

Room very nice indeed. A fresh feel with super shower. The staff very friendly, the food excellent, plus the breakfast just couldn't get much better. Just needs a little touch up, but only maintenance for decor in the conservatory, but that would not stop me from returning. Loved the place !

Tuckers Inn is quite delightful. Our room was small, given the fact that we had way too much luggage (and there is no elevator). But the room was very clean and the bathroom modern, which is a big plus. The food is more than decent and the view delightful. But the best feature was extremely nice and helpful staff. We can't say enough about the nice staff at Tuckers Inn.

The room was lovely and clean .The bathroom was very large . Shower was perfect . Would be better if there were hooks to hang your towels up on and a unit of some sort to put our toilet bags on The evening meal was outstanding and the breakfast was lovely too. The dining room chairs and tables are a bit worse for wear . Overall would stay again .
