Sportsman Motel

Use this motel for a quick shower and a 44 minute nap during the Texas independence relay race and wouldn’t stay here for any other reason.

The door knob was about to fall off the bathroom was almost out of toilet paper no cleaned at all. We didn’t even stay the night.

Hands down the filthiest room I’ve ever stayed in. I’m not sure it was actually cleaned after the last guest. Paper towels behind the toilet. A smashed dead bug on the back of the bathroom door. Used bandaid on the bathroom floor. AC blew a ton of dust in my face when I turned it on. There was a crumpled up receipt from McDonalds on the shelf above the closet rod dated 6/25/25 (my stay was November 7th). Half the shower rings were missing and the plastic shower curtain was gross. Stains on the walls that could easily have been wiped off. I wasn’t expecting a stay at the Ritz, but this room was almost inhabitable. I should have asked for a different room, but I was tired and doubtful if any other rooms would have been in better shape.

Floor was filthy. No fitted sheet on the bed. Had at least 6 stray cats outside my door.

There was a bullet hole in the bathroom window and the window pane was falling out. The room was filthy. Bugs in the bed. (Fleas I think) Stuff all over the walls. Floors were filthy. The front desk person was rude too.
