We had a great stay! Perfect location to walk around the city. We also had a nice meal at Versa, their rooftop restaurant. The only complaint I guess was the restaurant was on the 5th floor rooftop. It was very nice though.

We were in NYC for an event at Madison Square Garden and this hotel is a great location. The room was nice and clean. My only complaint is the elevators. They are terrible during heavy traffic times. Sometimes waiting over 10 minutes for an elevator!

Great hotel and excellent location. The room was nice and comfortable, as was the bed. The only small issue I had was with the elevators in the morning, they were very slow and once turned up they were already full before they got to my floor so I had to wait for another one (sometimes two!). Overall would stay here again!

Love that it’s close to Penn Station and that guests have access to PlanetFitness (right next door)! The cocktail of the day was an added bonus (not available on weekends). We’ll definitely stay here again!

Great spot about six blocks south of Times Square. Easy accessibility to train and subway. Walk to Chelsea. Great bar. Gym is a huge bonus. Would definitely stay here again when in town to visit!

This property is currently undergoing renovations, which is not mentioned in their online material. The lobby is mostly closed off, as is one of the bars. So, there was much less to this hotel than you would expect. Also, for some reason, room service food is served in 'to-go' boxes, which makes for some pretty unappetizing food. Our room itself was nice, but I would not return until the renovations were complete.

As we arrived and checked in our room we were greeted by a roach, the staff didn’t even care..after that we were moved to a different room only to experience more problems the sink was clogged and the a/c unit was incredibly loud was called and reported the problem but was never fixed…to top everything off when we checked out valet couldn’t find our car it took them almost 3 hours to find our car which made us late to our next destination. It was a horrible experience. One wished us upon anyone.

This was our first time staying here. We have tried many hotels in NYC and we will definitely return to the Renaissance. Spacious, comfy rooms with a great view. Clean, modern, stylish and the staff were so polite and helpful. Great location too!

The hotel is located in a great location! Near everything: Times Square, Broadway theaters. The staff was absolutely wonderful. My only complaint was the cleaning of yhe rooms. There was breast milk in the mini fridge that was left from a previous guesr. Also my room had no chaise lounger.

Awesome landing spot for our whirlwind trip into the city for two days. Staff is amazing. Facility is beautiful and well appointed. Rooms are cozy but not New York small. Location is awesome- especially for anyone wanting to see a lot of the city in. Short period of time.

We stayed for the weekend on a couple’s escape and booked a room with a view. The view from the 35th floor facing downtown was just breathtaking. The location was perfect right near Penn Station. The room itself was perfect and the shower had Kevin Murphy shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. There was some minor construction noise upstairs in the middle of the afternoon but nothing inconvenient. Our housekeeper, Kiara, was top notch. We would definitely stay here again.

Located at the heart of midtown, it's just couple blocks from Madison Sq Garden and walking distance to Time Sq. Foods/shops are conveniently located nearby. Concierge is located on 6th floor and staffs are polite & professional. I stayed on the 35th floor and has the non-blocking view of the skylights and away from any street noise. Room is clean with modern decor. I enjoy every moment of my stay and will definitely be my choice for future NY trips.

Wonderful room. Great location to MSG. One thing that was not to my taste was the frosted barn door style bathroom door and the glass surround (facing into the room) for the shower. The shower had a shade that came down on the inside of the room to provide privacy. Personal preference here, but I didn’t feel like it provided a lot of privacy. Super clean and comfortable room other than that. I just prefer a more traditional bathroom with a door and a fan!

Lobby is beautiful and peaceful; lobby bar is welcoming. Room was quiet and fairly well-appointed; could use a drawer or two. Detest the bath"room" which is a glassed in enclosure with a barn door that didn't shut completely -- with 3 of us, we could hear each other in the bathroom; light on in bathroom meant that those in bed were awakened -- noisy with no privacy -- can't say enough that we all HATED that.

I stayed in a few midrange and higher-end hotels that were good value in NYC that I would recommend, but this hotel, with a great lest minute deal, stood out as as superior to them all. Booked a standard room, but still had a city view. The entire outside wall was a window. The bathroom/shower was very modern and the king bed was super comfortable. Superior selection of TV options, including MAX. Rooms were very quiet with I think concrete walls between the rooms. You could tell they put a lot of effort to design a higher-end room experience in the smaller spaces that NYC hotels afford.

We had the pleasure to stay the Renaissance in Midtown on our 10th anniversary. We were only in the city for 3 days and this was the highlight of our trip. The staff is so kind and courteous here. The way they speak to customers is clearly distinguished from the other hotels we stayed at. They’re warm, welcoming and helpful. I want to send a special shoutout to Julie and Vina to going above and beyond and upgrading our room to elevate our anniversary experience at the Renaissance. When we walked into our wonderful room, there was not only a gift but a handwritten note, which is such a sweet touch. Ladies, if you’re reading this- thank you so much. We had a great time! The room was super clean, the bed was extremely comfortable and we truly felt luxurious staying there. Will definitely return to the Renaissance.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel while celebrating my wife’s birthday! The service was outstanding from start to finish. A special shoutout to David at the front desk—he went above and beyond by upgrading us to a beautiful suite, which truly made our experience extra special. The room was spotless, modern, and very comfortable. We also dined at the on-site restaurant and were genuinely impressed—the food was delicious and the atmosphere was great. Wonderful Stay! Superb front desk staff especially Jasmine. We arrived at midnight after delayed flights and her joy made our late arrival pure fun with her desire to please. The rooms were well appointed and perfect for a NYC stay. Being close to Penn Station was a definite bonus.

My wife and I stayed at the Renaissance for four nights recently. The property itself is terrific. Rooms are large, especially by NYC standards, comfortable, and well appointed. Staff was terrific all the way around. Front desk staff were very accommodating switching us to a room with a sofa, bell hops were friendly and greeted us every time we walked in, and housekeeping was perfect. If there is a drawback to this hotel, it’s one that is out of their control, and that is the area has a number of unsavory characters around that made me and my wife feel a bit uneasy. Again, I don’t hold this against the hotel, and something that most hotels in Manhattan deal with, but important to note nonetheless. I would absolutely recommend a stay at this hotel.

The property is perfect for travelers especially those that are taking the Amtrak trains. Location is right across the MSG (Madison Square Garden) and Amtrak station so it’s perfect. Rooms are perfect!! Staff extremely welcoming!

We enjoyed our stay at the Renaissance Hotel in Midtown Manhattan. It was a very modern hotel. The accommodations were fantastic. We ate at the hotel restaurant and everything we had was excellent. It has a fun trendy vibe. My only complaint was just the smell of weed and some homeless and panhandlers That were consistently on the street near the hotel.

Hotel is gorgeous and smells amazing! The onsite restaurant was phenomenal! Service is top notch..We found a parking garage a few blocks down so it was an easy walk..Check in was easy, staff is friendly, hospitable and very professional. Great experience for first timers

Restaurant and lounge both closed at 1030 on a Sunday. Many guests were returning from a concert and would have patronized the lounge. A tough call for restaurant management to make since they weren't busy when we ate there before the concert. They also stop serving breakfast before 11am on a Monday. But both meals we had from their lunch/dinner menu were good and priced fairly.

I realize the renovations of the property are not finished, and I am looking forward to seeing the new lobby. My room was surprisingly large for a NYC hotel. The bathroom was so modern and having a refrigerator in the room is a plus. Te bed was super comfortable. The elevator system is amazing and so high tech, although the wait time for the elevator can be a bit long. The restaurant, Versa, has great atmosphere and food. I enjoyed the breakfast and a dinner. The wait staff in Versa is very efficient and nice. I plan to stay at this hotel again when I visit NYC.

Very convenient location, right by Penn Station. Relatively affordable compared to other hotels in the area. My teen daughter and I stayed here to go to the Yankees game and we were able to catch the subway easily. The restaurant, Versa, has good food but service could have been better.
