I like the hotel this was the first time we were using the pool and it only had 2 chairs in the whole pool area. Other people and families weee coming in and people had to sit on the floor.

The hotel was okay. It would be great if the pool had a hot tub and it was a heated (as it was freezing cold). The rooms could use an upgrade. You can tell our room was the floor for pets which was not ideal. The front desk folks were great and attentive. I would just probably stay somewhere else next time. The location is super convenient which I do admit that is a big plus

Overall, nice hotel and friendly staff. Very disappointed having to pay for overnight parking, in Lubbock TX. I would understand if this was downtown Houston or Chicago, but in Lubbock.

Very clean hotel. Comfortable beds. Good location near Texas Tech, with lots of bars & restaurants in walking distance. Breakfast was okay, but not great. My only complaint is that they charge $7 for parking, which was not mentioned on the Hotels.com website.

The clerk who checked us in his name is Vincent he was so polite and extremely friendly, made you feel so welcomed, we got there in the am and he made us feel like we had arrived at a friends house. The young lady that we talked to before checking in to let her know we would be late was very sweet and assured us our room was still available. When we got to our room the housekeeper Sheila left a note on the desk welcoming the note read “ Hope you enjoy your stay and may you have a blessed stay with us “ That was just icing on the cake. Very friendly and clean hotel it was an enjoyable stay and peaceful the breakfast was good . Will definitely stay again …

Bathroom door was unsafe. It kept getting stuck and hard to open. If we shut it all the way, the only way it could be opened was with force from the outside. We informed staff the moment it started happening when we arrived and we were told they would pass it on and until then we needed to just “keep the door open at all times”. Huge inconvenience and invasion of privacy when 3 people staying in a room. We also went to make the couch bed and it still had dirty sheets on it from a guest before us.

The night, went fine, as well as the free breakfast. Omce we went back in the room to get ready for check out, while i was laying in the bed there was a bug crawling directly on the bed sheets. Which completely ruined the stay for me. We where on the 3rd floor. I killed the bug and immediately wanted to ge the heck out of there. They need to take proper measures to keep the rooms bug free. This is why people pay good money to stay at the Hyatt...otherwise we could have stayed at a motel 6. Very disappointing.

This was our third time staying here and we booked a 2 room suite so the kids could have their own section. The first two times we stayed, I wasn't impressed with the rooms, they're not necessarily dirty, but they need updating/freshening up. This time the suite was even worse than the regular rooms we stayed in. I was very disappointed considering the cost difference for the suite. The mattress was so uncomfortable and the whole room just looked dated. We picked this hotel because we'd already stayed here and knew it was decent and had an indoor pool for the kids, but I think our next trip through here we'll try to find something else. Also, the wifi is REALLY bad and I think it's ridiculous you have to pay for parking in their lot when you're already paying for a room.

The property is great and the staff is good, but there is a lot of room noises from the room above. I was unable to sleep due to people partying all night in the room above me. And even when they weren’t partying, just their footsteps were loud enough to keep me awake. I’ll probably try to get a top floor next time. And maybe a hotel not so close to campus.

The room was nice and spacious, beds were pretty firm and it’s definitely new pillow time. Between the big dog barking all night, a child screaming and noise out the window I did not sleep. My fault I didnt research better just how close I was to all the partying. I liked the hotel, it was just the extra stuff that made it not enjoyable. Very nice area though, I felt completely safe.

My stay was good. Employees were very welcoming & helpful and the room was clean and nicely decorated. My only complaint is the thin walls. We could hear the family next door pretty clearly threw the adjoining access door. It was a little alarming because at one point I thought someone was in our room. Otherwise the room & stay was wonderful.

Overall, the stay was okay. No microwaves in the rooms. You have to go down to the lobby to use one … not good when you’re on the FOURTH FLOOR! No tissue in the room! I would not come back to this hotel.

The staff was great when we got there. Fast check-in and the hotel seemed nice. But when we turned in for the night we found the walls were paper thin so we heard everyone in the hallway. There was also some mechanical noise outside the room that sounded like a vacuum cleaner that ran the entire time we were there. I also didn't realize a duvet could be loud, but ours crinkled like a trash bag every time we moved in bed. And garbage pickup (banging dumpster/beeping truck) in the early, early morning was a nice touch. Towels in the bathroom were clean but were damp. There was a can of glass cleaner left in the shower by cleaning staff, and there were stains on the carpet as well. The hairball on the floor by the toilet was a nice complement to the overall motif. But breakfast was decent.

AC was great. Front desk ladies were very helpful and friendly. I met Sheila today who has worked there for 8 years. She was delightful. Would give everything a 10 including the complimentary breakfast.

Decent facility. However they charge $7 a day for parking. Parking is open parking lot with no security measures. Housekeeping has to be requested, which the host (P) never informed us of upon check-in. When questioned he lied and blamed other hosts for not informing us even though he was the one to check us in. Should at minimum have a sign at the desk.

This is my go-to Hotel when coming in to Lubbock. Only complaint is the water pressure is weak and low otherwise, wonderful property. Vincent was accommodating when I wanted a room change and Joy even managed to assist me in getting a refund for an unused prepaid night, which I never expected to happen. (Had to leave a day early because my boss needed me in a different state immediately.) Friendly staff, clean and inviting atmosphere and when I am back in town next year, this is where I will be staying.

We enjoyed our stay there overall and will stay there again on our next vist. The Staff was AMAZING, specifically Natalie & Kelly who helped with a check in issue due to booking with Expedia vs direct with hotel. And Vincent, who was VERY helpful throughout our stay, but specifically with an important item that I left behind after checkout that he personally retrieved and kept secure until we could pick it up. The lobby area was large and accommodating for many guests, including our party of 8 that used it for a meeting, but due to an unusual April blizzard that occurred, the entire lobby area stayed around 57 degrees all day and night with the entry doors opening or being blown open with the wind.
We enjoyed our stay there overall and will stay there again on our next vist. The Staff was AMAZING, specifically Natalie & Kelly who helped with a check in issue due to booking with Expedia vs direct with hotel. And Vincent, who was VERY helpful throughout our stay, but specifically with an important item that I left behind after checkout that he personally retrieved and kept secure until we could pick it up. The lobby area was large and accommodating for many guests, including our party of 8 that used it for a meeting, but due to an unusual April blizzard that occurred, the entire lobby area stayed around 57 degrees all day and night with the entry doors opening or being blown open with the wind.

Overall I liked the property and can see why it’s top rated for Lubbock. The room was very spacious and pretty clean. My only complaint is the FD. When I checked in the girl seemed maybe irritated and was not very pleasant and rushed things. A return guest walked in after me and she was very friendly and a different attitude. The next day I asked for my room to have housekeeping come in as they only service rooms every two days (not an issue). It was a preference when I requested and it was never done so I was disappointed (I asked the front desk agent who is a guy with brown hair and glasses). Also one of the AM FD agents (shorter guy with blonde shaggy type hair) was on his cellphone at the front desk watching videos and texting and had his AirPods in the next day during breakfast while also drinking the Starbucks coffee at the front and never smiled at anyone. I’m picky on service and thought it was unprofessional. Great hotel honestly! The staff I would say is below average and needs some training on service and hospitality to give better scores etc.

Booked a room with 2 queen beds and a pull out couch through Expedia. Got there the night of the booking and was told at the front desk that they don't have any double queen rooms and they can "upgrade" me to a single king with a pull out couch. Well if that's what I wanted I would have booked it that way! So I said that would not work and the lady at the front desk said "well you booked through a 3rd party so that's what you get. We had a reservation for months. The day we were to arrive I got a call letting me know the hotel couldn’t honor my reservation because they overbooked. How was that my problem when I booked months In advance? Hotels.com couldn’t do anything about it. Had to call the hotel and they accommodated me to a smaller bedroom and said I would get a refund (which I didn’t get by the way) My small rooms couch had a stain that hadn’t been cleaned and popcor around it. Our stay was good and comfortable. Service was ok. We had to ask for our room to be serviced 2 or 3 times. The breakfast wasn’t very good and the coffee was old and cold even one hour before it was supposed to end.

The pool was heated and very warm which was nice! The front desk was very nice and helpful. The pullout bed didn't have sheet or pillow case but when i called to the front desk it was immediately brought up so that was great. My only complaint was regarding breakfast. Breakfast was until 9 so I went down at 8:30 the fresh toast was never refilled, the half and half spout looked like it had been sitting there all morning.. it was out so it was refilled but it still had nasty film..bananas we're not refilled and the only reason why bagals and fruit were refilled was because someone specifically asked. Other than that, it was a good stay.

We sampled quite a few hotels on our cross country road trip. This was one of the best places we’ve stayed. Check in was super fast and easy. Maddie helped us in Lubbock and made our stay extremely enjoyable and was very attentive to all our requests since we needed to be on the first floor. The natural lighting in the entrance and restaurant is really nice and the breakfast was quite good. We enjoyed the lobby/common area in the evening and the room was clean and very comfortable. Rooms were also nice and quiet. Plenty of parking and easy access outside. If you are visiting Texas Tech, it is a few blocks away. Highly recommend the university location.
