This is a fantastic place to stay for the view. The bedrooms in the 2 bedroom suite are small and have no closet to put your clothes in so you have to put them on the floor. It was very hot when we were there so with no AC it was almost unbearable. They do offer a fan in each bedroom but they are old and very loud. They really could use some ambiance in the room itself. The deck is fantastic with four chairs and a barbecue with an outstanding view. We booked the two bedroom suite for 2 couples and had to pay $10 for the second car which I didn’t think was great because it was a 2 bedroom unit. Breakfast is $10 each which consisted of eggs, sausage, yogurt, toast and a Caesar salad but wants a Caesar salad for breakfast? The salad was just lettuce with caesar dressing on it. If we are back in Nanaimo, I would definitely stay here again and probably not do breakfast.

The property is essentially a large and charming one bedroom apartment with a wrap around porch. It provides an amazing view of the sea and nearby islands and is located in a rich hillside neighbourhood. Excellent value for money.

There were several rooms available, part of a large house at the top of a hill in Nanaimo. Positives: - Fantastic view of the ocean, Vancouver and the US on a clear day; - Nice upscale neighborhood; - Large room and washroom with separate tub and shower; - Free on-site parking; - Comfortable bed and pillows; - Supplies and machines for coffee and tea - Will definitely stay here again if visiting Nanaimo Negatives: - 10-minute drive from downtown Nanaimo and 30 minutes from Duke Ferry Terminal

The view was the outstanding feature of this rental. The owner was helpful and friendly. There was a fully equipped kitchen in our apt. It was a short drive to shopping. The driveway is extremely steep but parking was good once you got up there.

We loved the views and the host was nice, but the patio furniture was cheap, our room had a strong smell of propane, which gave me a headache and the coffee 'bar' in our room had no creamers, just a container of coffee mate that had an expiry date of 2018 (which they had taped over!) There was little to no interaction between us and our hosts and they didn't even bother to say goodbye to us or the other guests when we were getting ready to leave. We won't be back.

THE VIEW, the location, and the service and kindness of the owners were all far above what I expected. We felt safe, comfortable, and had plenty of space for our family. The huge balcony and the epic view were so special. We watched whales at sunset right from the comfort of our balcony. There are some exterior shared spaces with other guests, but we never even saw anyone else on property. We enjoyed our stay and hope to come back!

The owner was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Our room was very comfortable and the view from our private balcony was awesome! We are always on the lookout for whales and this location was perfect. We spotted about 20 separate humpback whales at different times including a few mothers with active, entertaining calves. Putting the whole experience together it was a fantastic bargain.

Charles is very gracious host. The view from the property is beautiful. The property is advertised as a “bed and breakfast” but should be “bed and optional (for a fee) breakfast”. We also felt a bit uncomfortable in our bedroom being adjacent to our host’s living room and dining room. Our bathroom had a door next to the dining room. We could hear their conversations quite clearly through the door of the bedroom.

This large and lovely home is situated in a serene upscale neighborhood north of Nanaimo proper. My girlfriends and I rented two rooms. Both rooms had spectacular, unobstructed views. Charles, the owner/manager, was a delight. Some beautiful beach walks are only a five-minute drive away, but would not be easy for 70 y.o. knees to walk to due to the steepness of the road up the house. Also, come prepared with any snacks, as there are no convenience stores nearby. We would definitely visit again.

Exceptional Views!! Great Hospitality!! Absolute worth for the Vacation! Cari was the one who received us at the main entrance and explained everything well and she even helped us with walk through of other suites as well when we asked how other room look (no guests checked in at that time). We're spellbound by the views, you dont get to see them from any hotel in Nanaimo i believe. It's a homely atmosphere completely and great location! We met Charles while checking out he's very cool too. We'll definitely look for this same spot in our next visits too. Breakfast is optional for extra $10 which we should inform before night, but we already planned to have outside so we didn't take that option, for sure it would have been good experience too had we taken that. Regarding views of Sunset, Sunrise, Pipers lagoon, etc, photos dont do justice, have to be there to witness the beauty.

**This is a room in a someones home** The host was very friendly. The room and adjoining bathroom were spotless. The location is residential at a top a very steep climb. There is nothing close by to eat (we had food delivered). The view from the balcony is amazing. I would have given higher rating if I the listing made it clear that it was a room in the house. It was a bit disorienting to expect a traditional B&B and then be staying in a room in a persons house.

The view was the outstanding feature of this rental. The owner was helpful and friendly. There was a fully equipped kitchen in our apt. It was a short drive to shopping. The driveway is extremely steep but parking was good once you got up there.

This large and lovely home is situated in a serene upscale neighborhood north of Nanaimo proper. My girlfriends and I rented two rooms. Both rooms had spectacular, unobstructed views. Charles, the owner/manager, was a delight. Some beautiful beach walks are only a five-minute drive away, but would not be easy for 70 y.o. knees to walk to due to the steepness of the road up the house. Also, come prepared with any snacks, as there are no convenience stores nearby. We would definitely visit again.

This is a fantastic place to stay for the view. The bedrooms in the 2 bedroom suite are small and have no closet to put your clothes in so you have to put them on the floor. It was very hot when we were there so with no AC it was almost unbearable. They do offer a fan in each bedroom but they are old and very loud. They really could use some ambiance in the room itself. The deck is fantastic with four chairs and a barbecue with an outstanding view. We booked the two bedroom suite for 2 couples and had to pay $10 for the second car which I didn’t think was great because it was a 2 bedroom unit. Breakfast is $10 each which consisted of eggs, sausage, yogurt, toast and a Caesar salad but wants a Caesar salad for breakfast? The salad was just lettuce with caesar dressing on it. If we are back in Nanaimo, I would definitely stay here again and probably not do breakfast.

Helt fantastisk! Utrolig venlig og imødekommende vært, meget serviceminded. Huset er virkelig flot - der er tænkt over alle detaljer. God seng! Vi bestilte morgenmad - lækker, sund og forfriskende på terrassen med solopgang og udsigt over vandet. Vi er fans!

So….. we booked a B&B and we got an apartment furnished with garage sale furniture, pictures and bedding! THIS IS NOT A B&B. It was clean. The view was amazing! But a beautiful setting should not be marred with shipping tape messages taped to the walls. Stained pictures. Stained bedding and head and shoulders shampoo. Could be absolutely a beautiful place with a little TLC. I suppose my review should prefaced by the fact we thought we booked a B&B with view and we were disappointed to find out this was nothing more than someone’s house and a downstairs apartment! Not a bed and breakfast at all! Apparently we could have had breakfast gift 10 bucks! But we passed!

We loved the views and the host was nice, but the patio furniture was cheap, our room had a strong smell of propane, which gave me a headache and the coffee 'bar' in our room had no creamers, just a container of coffee mate that had an expiry date of 2018 (which they had taped over!) There was little to no interaction between us and our hosts and they didn't even bother to say goodbye to us or the other guests when we were getting ready to leave. We won't be back.

Charles is very gracious host. The view from the property is beautiful. The property is advertised as a “bed and breakfast” but should be “bed and optional (for a fee) breakfast”. We also felt a bit uncomfortable in our bedroom being adjacent to our host’s living room and dining room. Our bathroom had a door next to the dining room. We could hear their conversations quite clearly through the door of the bedroom.

Exceptional Views!! Great Hospitality!! Absolute worth for the Vacation! Cari was the one who received us at the main entrance and explained everything well and she even helped us with walk through of other suites as well when we asked how other room look (no guests checked in at that time). We're spellbound by the views, you dont get to see them from any hotel in Nanaimo i believe. It's a homely atmosphere completely and great location! We met Charles while checking out he's very cool too. We'll definitely look for this same spot in our next visits too. Breakfast is optional for extra $10 which we should inform before night, but we already planned to have outside so we didn't take that option, for sure it would have been good experience too had we taken that. Regarding views of Sunset, Sunrise, Pipers lagoon, etc, photos dont do justice, have to be there to witness the beauty.
