Very nice check in ladies at the front desk. Clean comfortable room, walk in shower. Working ice machines conveniently located, guest laundry with working machines. Air conditioning works fine. Not expensive but costs enough to keep the riff raff away. Good parking area.

The hotel was clean, comfortable, and overall a nice hotel. It was close to a Walmart and restaurants and really close to the highway for easy on/off access (but far enough to not hear any highway noise) Fitness center was nothing to write home about but there was a nice pool, a small business center that also had books (and reading glasses to borrow!) and a bar/kitchen area offering a limited menu. Breakfast was pretty good offering full hot breakfast such as biscuits & gravy, scrambled eggs, sausage links & patties, potatoes, and bakery items. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. I will definitely stay there if I am in the Lynchburg area!

Mostly positive experience with my stay. I would stay again. My recommendations follow. I wished the pool would open and close earlier (6 am to 10 pm, perhaps) for those of us who might want to swim for exercise in the morning (9 am is a bit late for that, plus earlier in the morning avoids the sun, which is desirable). As the gym door key card reader wasn't working properly, my recommendation would be to just leave it open so someone doesn't have to find someone on the staff to open it. Of course, some of these recommendations are predicated that this hotel has a 11 am check-out and thus one has to get up earlier to do exercise before checking out. A 12 noon check-out would mitigate this. A longer breakfast would also help (say 6 am to 10 am every morning, instead of 6-9 on weekdays and 7-10 on weekends?). But all these are relatively minor quibbles, I'd would definitely stay there again.

The hotel is very clean and the young man at the front desk was so helpful with finding a place to eat. We used the laundry room and the prices were amazing. The breakfast was great and the woman preparing the food was so nice and friendly. We would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend the Original Italian Pizza place to eat.

We had a good experience. The hotel is only about 8 years old. The staff were all VERY friendly. Any issues, they want to know. The bar was small with limited options. The breakfast was decent with lots of choices. My only “issues” and reason for my 4 stars is that this hotel does have an events area. The night we stayed, there was an event. The noise was calmed by 10 ish, but we could hear room doors slamming until the morning hours. Also, the comforters were stained. I know this happens, but it gave me some kind of ick. All that said, I would consider staying again.

The hotel and pool were very clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast ended at 9 and I arrived after 8:30. The staff was still bringing out fresh items and the breakfast bar was fully stocked. Clean, comfortable hotel.

Great friendly staff. Beautiful lobby and amenities. The room was terrible. It smelled SO BAD. Like a combination of stale cigar smoke and food stuck seeped into the carpets over time. The curtains were torn too. The TV remote was held together by electrical tape. The staff tried to help but spraying some stuff because they had no place else to put us but it didn't help. They tried though.

I had to change rooms 3 Times. 1st room was very smoky smelly and black mold on bathroom ceiling (had an instant headache). 2nd room started out great, went to bed and about 130 in the morning I get woken up with the feeling of something crawling on me, pulled the blanket back and I had a roach crawling on me. Freaked out. Open the drawer on nightstand and saw more roaches. Quickly called front desk and was told we don’t think we have another room for you. Soo I was pissed. Had to go through all my luggage and bags and clothes to make sure I had no roaches in them. I took everything to my car to prevent roaches from getting in them and went to front desk where they happen to find an available room for me. Tore the room apart to make sure no roaches were there, finally laid down reluctantly and kept itching and scratching all night. Woke up went to front desk and they knew all about my troubles, said the mgr was going to comp the room and they gave me an extra 2 hour late check out since I didn’t sleep well. I only decided to stay here because the reviews look great, but never ever will I again. Checked another page for reviews and saw just a couple weeks ago another customer had roaches in her bed. The night clerk said they just had the bugs sprayed…looks like they missed a few places.

The staff were friendly. The room was large, clean and very comfortable. We just stopped as a layover on the way to home in Wilmington NC. We would like to come back to Appomattax, Va and stay longer. Best hotel accommodations, nice breakfast.

We were traveling, needed a place to sleep and shower. Unfortunately, we were at the end of hall and someone next to us kept getting up and slamming room door and exit the building door (I think to smoke). We didn't get much rest but decent place other than that. Thank you, Kathleen Bambery

Our stay was fantastic the second we walked through the doors. We were greeted by the staff who were more than helpful and kind. The fireplace was on along with some soft music creating a beautiful ambiance in the lobby- the chairs were very pretty and cozy. Our room was what I would call a crisp clean where it seemed immaculate. The beds were very comfortable and the room was a great size with a wonderful bathroom. I cannot wait to stay at this property again.

Very nice place but one thing that was the biggest problem was walks are very thin, doors close loudly. There was a lot of people up and down the halls, in and out their rooms around 11pm while my kids were asleep and me trying to fall asleep and it was just more noise then other hotels I’ve stayed at with high traffic. (Was as if our door was wide open). Wish breakfast started little earlier on the weekends like 6am.

The staff was courteous at check in, room was clean, and I was happy to have breakfast available at 6am on a Saturday. However, the bed was very uncomfortable, the highway noise was loud, and there was no easy way to remove the heavy comforter or lower the temperature in the room. I like to sleep at 62 degrees in the winter, it was 66 when I entered the room, and the A/C option only went to 65.

The noise from hallway and room above was quite loud. There was a birthday party on the main level and the music was extremely loud. We could hear it on the 2nd floor. Asked several times that music be turned down but never was. Floor in our room didn't appear to have been cleaned.

Friendly and efficient check-in, very clean room and bathroom, comfortable beds, good breakfast variety kept well stocked. The only problem we had was that for some reason my phone couldn't log in to the free Wi-Fi, even though my son's phone could.

It’s so easy to go with a chain hotel but we took a chance and this place, especially for the cost, was very nice. Clean, easy on/off from highway and even though our room faced that road, we couldn’t hear it in the room.

Looked beautiful and was impressed going in and unlike lots of other properties latelt, there was a visit from housekeeping for a 2 night stay. They even checked upper floors to make sure noise from a wedding downstairs wasnt too loud. However, fire alarm went off around 11pm 2nd night we were there and had to wake up family, only for it to be turned off after getting them out of bed. Zero explanation. Zero apologies. Also, many random $50 charges appeared on my card after checkout and upon calling back to get an explanation of them and why they were there, staff was rude and curt and simply exclaimes that it would be "taken care of." However, for price, was a very nice stay and comfortable. Lovely eating area, dining light fare options and breakfast bar in the am.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about our stay at Appomattox Inn and Suites. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. The room was super clean. Breakfast was good. The whole experience was beyond our expectations.
I cannot say enough wonderful things about our stay at Appomattox Inn and Suites. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. The room was super clean. Breakfast was good. The whole experience was beyond our expectations.

This Inn restored my hope that there are still hotels out there that are a decent price and run extremely well. It was immaculately clean, well kept up, wonderful attention to detail and a fabulous staff. The staff obviously take pride I. Their work and seem to love their jobs. This is the only time I have ever received a call a half hour or so after we arrive to make sure that our room was ok and see if we needed anything. I would whole heartedly recommend this location to anyone looking for a delightfully refreshing experience.

Stood at the front desk for about five minutes in front of the clerk who never acknowledged my presence as she was attending to a reservation call ( I understood this) with a head nod or I will be right with you. Then when she got off the call no greeting or good afternoon or thank you for waiting just simply can I help you. There was a work ladder in my guest room bathroom when I checked in. I took it to the desk. No apologies etc. Chairs in breakfast area need to be replace badly. Nice place. Just the little things.

My husband and I were pleasantly surprised with how nice the Appomattox Inn and Suites is! It’s very nice to drive up to. Once inside the Inn, it is very nicely decorated, and Karen at the front desk was very welcoming! Karen even upgraded our room at no charge! Our room was very large, spacious and very nicely decorated. The bathroom was very clean and had very nice amenities.

I’m horrible with names but the front desk clerk on Thursday afternoon, August 29, 2024 was very helpful. She made an excellent recommendation for dinner. She gave us info about the area - helpful because we are moving to the area. Check-in was wonderful.

Highly recommend staying here. Great location, right off of 460. Honestly, prefer this to a chain. Very well maintained and rooms clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious!! They even had a ballroom for get togethers!

A spacious property with a friendly staff. Having the little bar with food in the lobby was a welcome touch. We had been hoping to walk somewhere for dinner after a day in the car, but it's not really a walkable area since it's surrounded by high-speed roads. There weren't many dining options in town anyway. Nevertheless, we enjoyed our stay and hope to return.

Stayed here for a weekend for Liberty’s graduation. It’s a straight shot to the university, about 25 minutes. Love that Walmart and other dining options are close by, although when you arrive it feels like the middle of nowhere. The hotel was clean and the staff was very nice. Although I didn’t order anything, the downstairs cafe was an added plus, and the breakfast buffet. The only downside is we never had our room cleaned, but that could have been our fault if we missed the housekeeping hours. Would definitely stay here again.

This is my third stay at the Inn. It is a small friendly place with a terrific breakfast. The little bar in the lobby made for a great gathering place for me and my friends. Location is excellent close to some restaurants, grocery store and CVS.

Mostly positive experience with my stay. I would stay again. My recommendations follow. I wished the pool would open and close earlier (6 am to 10 pm, perhaps) for those of us who might want to swim for exercise in the morning (9 am is a bit late for that, plus earlier in the morning avoids the sun, which is desirable). As the gym door key card reader wasn't working properly, my recommendation would be to just leave it open so someone doesn't have to find someone on the staff to open it. Of course, some of these recommendations are predicated that this hotel has a 11 am check-out and thus one has to get up earlier to do exercise before checking out. A 12 noon check-out would mitigate this. A longer breakfast would also help (say 6 am to 10 am every morning, instead of 6-9 on weekdays and 7-10 on weekends?). But all these are relatively minor quibbles, I'd would definitely stay there again.

We had a good experience. The hotel is only about 8 years old. The staff were all VERY friendly. Any issues, they want to know. The bar was small with limited options. The breakfast was decent with lots of choices. My only “issues” and reason for my 4 stars is that this hotel does have an events area. The night we stayed, there was an event. The noise was calmed by 10 ish, but we could hear room doors slamming until the morning hours. Also, the comforters were stained. I know this happens, but it gave me some kind of ick. All that said, I would consider staying again.

The owners/staff were very nice and helpful. They promoted the local restaurants, one of which I dined. The hotel was clean, upgraded. Little noisy with room doors slamming (they did not lock quickly like normal doors so patrons slammed them without knowing they would engage in a short time period). Breakfast could have included more fruit and other healthier options. But overall, it was enjoyable.

It was a brif stay lobby gorgeous with small wine/ beer bar and tv’s had.college football on comfort seating … the room was lovely however the only thing i would suggest is more lighting i just had one bedside lamp not hugely bright and the light on ceiling you walk in the room. Breakfast was minimal compared to other places but the coffee was not bad actually tasted like coffee not just colored hot water 😝

The minifridge in our room was not working when we arrived, so the manager on duty immediately brought us one that did from an empty room. While there, she also put the barn door on our bathroom back on its track. All staff was kind, accommodating & efficient!
