The buildings were old, but the room we stayed were large and comfertable with nice ocean view. To watch the fireworks, this place is marvelous.

If you don'tmind staying in the cheap but worst place, this is your hotel. The place is super old and beat up. The room was dirty and you will find hair from the previous user all over the place. Bed is like a board, no cushin feeling. It was one of the worst I have ever experienced.

This hotel is great for an adventurous tourist looking for a “Japanese cultural experience”. Make sure to request the Japanese style room and breakfast. The room we had was the Superior Japanese Room, Ocean View, Breakfast Included. It was an amazing experience. From an American perspective, everything about this room is different (furniture, bathroom, toilet, floors, entertainment); a wonderful different. At the same time, don’t expect a posh hotel. It’s a 3 star place. The location of the hotel is within an east walk to the air tram up to the castle. We had a meal at a small restaurant across the street from the tram ticket booth. The meal was yummy, but expensive. The tram offers incredible views. Atami beach can also be reached by walking, though it’s a much longer walk. There is a 7-Eleven within a couple blocks too.
