Great location, beautiful river view from hotel room window. TV had cable, HBO, and Netflix. King bed was great and room was plenty big. Had fridge and microwave. Big bathroom and shower. I saw a lot of mixed reviews about breakfast before booking my stay here. We had breakfast Thurs-Sat. Each day had a lot of options- waffles, fresh fruit, yogurt, bagels, eggs and a sausage type meat. Sat had less fruit and pork ham with scrambled eggs, which is NOT for me. So it may depend on the day. Can't stress enough how great the location is, everything is a short walk. We walk to the Reds stadium. Parking is 10.00 a night, but the lot seemed safe, and we didn't have to pay for parking anywhere else, so worth it. Indoor pool is small but very nice and clean, plenty of chairs and towels. Service is not the best, not a lot of workers around, but they did get us what we needed, when we had an issue. I would stay again.

Staff was super friendly and helpful. Just a heads up there is a fee not listed for 50 dollars (refundable) and having to pay for parking is kind of frustrating. Hotel is very nice and clean. Pool is nice breakfast was good. Overall would return.

Customer service was terrible at front desk. Room was the loudest room I have ever stayed in, due to the outside noise. No one at the property to help with extra towels and overheard another guest ask for a pack n play and was also told no one else was there to help. Wasn’t given the wifi info or waters upon arrival for being HHonnors. Beds were uncomfortable. Indoor Pool wasn’t heated, kids were freezing but still had fun. Breakfast was pretty decent though and the rest of the hotel seemed clean.

The room was nice and we had a great stay! The pool was cold and the breakfast was gross with moldy fruit. My kids liked the waffles though. Loved how close it was to Newport aquarium You could hear the street outside and it was very noisy even with a sound machine

The property was in very good condition. The staff was friendly. The photographs of the pool make the pool look larger than it is. Breakfast was acceptable, but the noise from the road kept me up for most of the night. If you’re gonna stay here, I would strongly recommend that you ask for a room with odd numbers. The even numbers face the noisy street.

The property and rooms are great. The sheets SMELL clean and that’s a nice touch. My shower, unfortunately, was clogged and a bunch of hair flowed into the tub from the drain. It was disgusting! I had to remove the drain plug to shower. When I mentioned it to the front desk clerk, she was mortified and insisted that I email the manager right then because she needed to know. I emailed the manager and received no reply. When I went to the front desk the next day to book another room and extend my stay, I asked if it had been received. The desk clerk went and asked the manager and she simply told her to ask me if I needed maintenance. The manager stepped out to communicate with her desk clerk and did not even acknowledge me. So management receives zero stars.

Room not serviced as expected. Although a sign in the bathroom indicated the room would be made every other day, this didn’t happen. We stayed 3 nights and no service occurred. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful.

The room (306) was not thoroughly cleaned. The floors were dirty, dusty (thick dust around the tv base), and i seen pink stains on my comforter (looked like makeup) I was thinking for the amount of money that i spent on the room for the weeknd, that the hotel would grab the trash and dirty towels (and refill with clean towels daily). The front desk told me they only do that every 3 - 5 days. That to me is piss poor service

I really liked this property as it was close to the water and aquarium. Parking is extremely limited with one car per room only no exceptions. Rooms themselves were clean and staff was helpful. My only issue was that there was clearly a roach on the window seal in hallway by pool witnessed by all in my party.

We had a wonderful time during our stay. My only complaint would be that we stayed 5 nights and the housekeeping staff never once cleaned our room or changed our sheets when they were on our floor every day when we left to go to our events.

Enjoyed the stay but my view clouds have been better if the windows were cleaned. There was bird poo marking. Then there was a $150 retainer when you check in which I don’t recall this being mentioned in the description.

The hotel was nice. Be advised, there is a music venue across the street that we were unaware of. When the band started to play, our hotel windows were rattling and the noise was awfully loud. The music stopped around 11pm fortunately so we could get some sleep. Had we known about the music venue facing one entire side of the hotel, we would not have chosen to stay there. The hotel was unable to move our room so we had to put up with it. I heard others complaining at breakfast the next day about how loud and disruptive the event was for their stay. And the event wasn't even posted on the event venue's page so we would have never known in advance. Without the music venue disruption, we did enjoy our stay. It is almost next door to the Newport Aquarium which was delightful and convenient. There were nice walking paths and restaurants nearby to enjoy the waterfront too.

Hampton Inn's parent company had their computer system hacked. Check-in was relatively smooth considering... However, on day 2 of a 3 night stay, we went to our room & our keycards had been deactivated. We then learned that other hotel guests were in our room because the hotel had no record of us in that room. That's a terrible error. That's an invasion of privacy and a large safety risk. All we really need in a hotel is a bed, running water, & to feel SAFE inside our room! We went to customer service and explained it to 3 different people. The other guests were given a different room, but not after they had been in ours, without our knowledge, with our belongings. I'm aware that the computer system being down is a huge inconvenience, but this was a very large error. I would not recommend any hotel with this parent company until the computer is back up and they get their act together. Get it together Hampton Inn!

When we arrived at the checkin counter we asked if we could have the complimentary water they had just given the 2 customers before us but we were told no because we booked through a 3rd party. We also asked to combine our two night stay so that we could stay in the same room, even willing to pay any price difference. However, again we were told no because we booked through a 3rd party. It truly seems that if you book through a 3rd party you are not going to get the treatment you deserve or pay for! We have always stayed at Hampton Inns but after this stay we will consider other options first!!! 2nd night stay: The girl at the desk was so rude again about the water and about booking through a 3rd party. Doesn’t matter that you’re a paying customer who also happens to be a Hilton’s member. I have never been so disrespected in all of my travels and over WATER!!! Seriously 😳 Not to mention that the room they sent us to had not been cleaned at all! The bed was unmade and towels all over the floor. So we had to go back and deal with her loveliness once more.

I was double charged for a total of 300.00 for a hold, when I called and asked they were very rude. They also charged me $10 for parking which I guess is fine but no one told me about that either. A lot of reviews of people being double charged and when you call they are very rude

We stay here every 2 months because my daughter has to go to Cincinnatti Children's for appts...This is the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed at. The staff have literally RUN to get me something I needed right away...The breakfast has a decent variety and the pool area is also very clean! we love it there and will conti ue to make this our go to hotel when we come into town.

Checkin was awful. Reservation under husbands name paid with my cc. But receptionist would not allow me to check in despite our address being the same. She also would not give me the parking pass until he came in, so i had to go back out into the freezing cold weather twice. It was late and i was tired, this was not a good first impression. Also it is not good that you hide the parking fee. I wasnt aware of it until check in and the price was the reason we chose hilton over the other options. So my room ended up costing $50 more than it said on line. I would not recommend staying here for this reason. I dont like sneaky. Beds were very hard

We had to wait over 2hrs to check-in as our room was not ready. This completely threw off our plans for our spring break overnight trip and it was extremely disappointing for our kids. We have stayed at this property for years but have had to wait 1-2hrs for a room the past couple stays. Very disappointing. Not good customer service or hospitality.

Came to Cincinnati for a oen night trip. Found the Hampton Inn and Suites Newport/Cincinnati to be a very nice find! Very convenient to downtown, in a nice neighborhood, walkable and close to other attractions, including the local aquarium. Room was very comfortable and the free breakfast was a definite plus.

Super nice staff! We were here for only one night for a baseball game. The perfect hotel to walk to the Great American Baseball Diamond! Parking was easy. The street around the hotel was a little busy, but didn’t affect us in anyway. I will say, I don’t know if we just came on a low stock day, but the breakfast was a bit of a joke. Only eggs, chicken nuggets and oatmeal available.

The room was very clean and the staff were very friendly. We were a little disappointed with the breakfast because they only had eggs and something that looked like chicken nuggets but it had sausage and cheese in it. No bacon or biscuits. Other than that, everything was fine!

We were attending my daughter's graduation in Cincinnati and stayed at this hotel. It was immaculate! The staff were amazing. The breakfast was fresh, plentiful and replenished regularly. I would recommend this hotel and plan on staying again.
