Good value for money and food and service were excellent. Hotel is a bit tired. Linoleum in the bathroom is lifted and trippable. Staff were very courteous and helpful. Stairway carpet needs cleaning.

Bargain accomodation with free parking. Toilet and shower was seoarate to room. No kettle but fridge and water/glasses. Best thing is the pub downstairs, lovely friendly staff and great atmosphere especially on pub trivia Tuesdays

Its a budget accommodation premise, an old public house, with seperate but not shared "shower / toilet" facilities, bed linen and provided towels very clean and fresh, water pressure and hot water VERY variable, often runs cold, so not the best. Depending on room location, can be very noisy, as on main road. Access and stairs to upper floor very steep and could be problematic for older people, doesn't appear to have any disabled access to any second floor rooms. Smells a little musky and I remember on a previous overnight stay,the mice/rats under the floor kept me up all night and I wasn't very comfortable with them running amuck under the floor under my bed ... hope this has been resolved! It's cheap and the beer is cold and the meals downstairs are quite good ... OK for an overnighter, but wouldn't want to have an extended stay. Never leave valuables in the room as the door hardware is not very secure and the quality of the locks make for easy pickings!

Firstly, the room is absolutely disgusting. There are still previous guests’ hair on the sheet and significant amount of spit on the ground. Secondly, the reception is extremely lazy. Guests should go across a long, dark and narrow corridor to get outside the hotel after 5 p.m. Thirdly, most of the residents here are not “backpackers”. They are probably homeless junkies who made poisonous loud noises during midnight. Finally, the shared bathroom are also sickly disgusting. Drunken people are vomiting in the sink and toilet, no hotel staff are going to clean it. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!!!

Location and staff excellent. The room was clean but mattress was brocken on one side, blind was brocken and didn't keep out light, the window was proped open with a pice of wood and couldn't re open when taken out. No fridge in room but water provided.

There was an internal door in the room that gave access to the room next door, which made it possible to hear clearly what was happening on the other side of the wall. I don't recommend it if you want a quiet night's sleep. Other than that, the hotel staff was very friendly.

Liked my single room and separate private bathroom, was quite until 4am when there was suddenly lots of traffic outside my window on the st below. Apart from that, very happy with my stay, the young fellow who I spoke to on the phone to arrange a late check-in was very helpful and was even going to wait until 9:30pm for me to arrive, but I was later so he organised a way to get in and let me know 🙂

I am very disappointed with the behaviour of the staff. It is written there is air conditioner in each room but there is none. No ensuite, you have to walk all the way out to the bathroom. Poor customer service. After hours number didn't pickup the phone not even called back.

Staff were friendly and helpful and instructions were clear. The food was good in the bar and the Bistro also looked nice. I would like to have given a better rating; however, the single room and bathroom were very run down. Some of the blind slats were broken off which was a privacy issue and let the light straight in, in the morning, when I had a late flight. I stayed 1 night but would not have wanted to stay longer. It is priced accordingly though.

A nice and comfortable room. It came with an attached ensuite which I didn’t realise when I booked it, so that was a very nice surprise. A little bit noisy at night, but not outside of expectations. Overall was a lovely place to stay and the walk from there to the main part of Launceston was very easy.
