Courtyard by Marriott Long Island City/New York Manhattan View

Online description was inaccurate. The floor I stayed in was being renovated and the hallways looked dirty. The room was clean and comfortable. The refrigerator wasn’t working. The front desk didn’t have the best customer service personnel the first night I arrived. No pool, false advertising and parking wasn’t included and it cost a hefty price also false advertising. The online description said parking was included.

This area is accessible to various train lines. It is a less than 15-minute train ride to Manhattan. It’s very convenient when you want to be close but not too close to the mayhem. This was family New Year’s vacation and we chose this property due to its rooftop garden that was listed. Ultimately, this was the deciding factor, so when we arrived and were told that this location didn’t have a rooftop garden we were very disappointed. Aside from that, everything went well. Everything was clean. Staff were incredibly nice and helpful. There were issues with the sink not draining properly but they were resolved fairly quickly. I’d go back for the location alone. Thanks!

This was our second stay. The rooms are very comfortable. It was so convenient to subways. The gym has great equipment.

The rooms were very clean, kudos to the maids. Room was quiet, slept like a baby. Parking is terrible, although there is a parking garage next door, for about $ 50 dollars a day.. The staff were very friendly.

Great Location! Room and bed were super comfortable. Staff at Front Desk were super helpful with recommending a pizza place that delivered and was delicious. Convenient and quick access to the city. Direct access to the parking garage next door was a plus.

Excellent workout area, laundry, 2 metro stations very close, nice coffee bar/food area with plenty of seating.

It was a one night stay and it was ok. There was a random dirty sock in our room which tells me they’re not that thorough with the cleaning.

Comfortable room, nice location, nice hospitality by the staff; bathroom needs improved cleanliness. Shower was full of mildew and had spotty mold on the upper walls (the shower stall has no ventilation and floor to ceiling wall so it stays moist.

Convenient location. Really clean and new looking property.

The room was clean but had an off smell. The windows are not very soundproof and there was a lot of noise from the neighboring train tracks. Beds were comfortable. Very convenient location, easy subway access to Manhattan and an easy walk to Greenpoint/Williamsburg.

Nice and clean no issues

This was such a wonderful place to stay when visiting NYC. There were 2 subway stations within a 5 minute walk of the hotel. There were also plentiful restaurants within walking distance and there was a great market/cafe right next door to the hotel. The hotel itself was incredibly clean, the beds were comfortable and the shower was fantastic.

It was absolute delight, very clean

We found a condom wrapper and a vape in the sheets on the bed.

The property had recently had a flood so there is wallpaper hanging and skirting missing while the property dries out in the halls But the rooms are not affected

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our room and common areas were always clean. The hotel staff was courteous & very helpful. The only inconvenience we experienced was the intense smell of smoke in the hallway and the ground level where the gym & bathrooms are at. 😖

Rooms were very small. Thing which bothered me was that there was no space in room to keep and open my suitcase which I had to do only on bed. Our room was 2 queen bed and we were party of 4 my husband, me and 2 kids(8month, 4 year).

Pros: location - convenient access to Manhattan. friendly staff. Cons: missing chair, cleanliness, slow wifi, wrong phone charge to room.

Good location and staff helpful and friendly. Window had good soundproofing. However, our room had a half shower door which had holes in it. This caused water to leak onto the floor. We have never had a half shower door which also leaked. The person at the front desk said that rooms with 2 queen beds had this design and to put towels on the floor. I have never seen this design and don't believe a hotel should have one (half shower door).

Ithe rooms are very good. Spacious and clean.

The staff was Great nice and pleasant but the loud noise of subways all night kept us up and in discomfort

The room was big, comfortable, clean and modern. I was really happy to stay there and will do so again when I go to watch the Mets.

Hotel is clean and the front desk service was quick and efficient. However, the king room is small and the bathroom is tiny and can only accommodate one person at a time. The shower is also tiny and has a removable shower head

A big issue with water for shower and the wifi was intermittent.

The “Manhattan View” advertisement is deceiving as my view was across the street into other buildings and the “View” was a mile away that you needed binoculars to see it. Wont be staying there again!

Wonderful staff, and very clean and comfortable rooms and common spaces. There’s a lot of construction in the area and a train nearby, so is a little noisy. Conveniently located near the subway

First, we arrived late at night for check in and our reservation was given away but we were sent to another nearby hotel for the night which was an 8 minute walk away to make up for it. It was our first time in NY so I was a little nervous to walk but the neighborhood isn’t too bad (I probably wouldn’t have gone alone but felt safe enough with my partner). We were able to return to the Courtyard the next day. The hotel location is great. It is near subway stations, only a train away from manhattan. There is also a 24 hour food market next door and coffee shop around the corner which was super convenient especially when the hotel restaurant was closed. The room had a nice view, bathroom was small but that was excepted. The side lamps next to the bed did not work but the floor lamp did which was enough. I would stay here again.

Oh man what a bad trip. The front desk people are rude and miserable. On one day, I had a fire alarm go off. On the next night, there was a leak or something. The entire hotel hallway was flooded, and the maintenance team was banging around at 3 am.

Arrived late… front desk attendant was very courteous, kind, articulate, intelligent, knew what she was doing… Awesome human being

TV didn't work. Noise from other rooms. Housekeeping did not come to clean room one day. Staff indifferent at check out.

I stayed here for one night and the from check in to check out the staff were friendly, helpful! The area was safe and convenient location for travel to williamsburg and other scenes near by.

I stayed here for 4 nights for a friend's wedding in nearby Brooklyn. This hotel is in a fantastic location at a good price. All the staff here are welcoming and friendly. They are always on hand to give any advice and answer any questions. As it is not located in Manhattan, the price of the hotel is lower than many other hotels of this standard in Manhattan. However, the hotel is just around the corner from Queen's Plaza Subway Station and the E subway line takes you straight into the centre of New York in under half an hour. We used the subway regularly for getting around Manhattan gor sightseeing and into Brooklyn for the wedding festivities. There is also a local supermarket right next to the hotel which is really useful. Overall, this has been a fantastic stay and if ever I return to New York, I would definitely be staying at this hotel again.

Stayed here during a girls trip and we felt the location was perfect for us. Subway was close by and they had many food options within and just steps away from the hotel. The front desk staff are amazing!! Very courteous and friendly. Checkin was quick and easy. We had no issues and they even held our bags before and after we checked in/out. The room was very clean and comfortable.

The property charged me twice for one room. I had four rooms for two nights. This happened in spite of repeatedly updating cards and personally going to the concierge to make sire all rooms will be charged to one card.

We had the family room which was spacious and perfect and great check in service by Pinki and Mohammed. Parked next door for $55 for the night. Convenient hotel. Kids enjoyed watching the subway trains below.

We have very mixed feelilngs about this hotel. They messed up our reservation & put our family of 5 in a tiny double queen room (2 adults, 3 older teen boys). When I told them I had reserved a double queen corner family room w/ a pull-out sofa, they said that isn't what they had listed & that they had actually "upgraded" us from a king to a double queen room. We had already lost a day of vacation due to a cancelled flight so we didn't argue further. That night at 11 PM (after some of us were already asleep) somoene tried to get into our room, then a security guard knocked on our door and asked why we were still in the room b/c we were supposed to have checked out that morning. We said we had just checked IN. Then 5 minutes later the front desk called us & said they had messed up & we weren't supposed to be there. We just went on trying to make the most of our vacation and just made the best of the situation. One of our teenage sons had to sleep on the floor b/c we didn't have enough bed space for everyone. We asked for extra pillows, blankets & towels, which we had to ask for multiple times before they brought them up to us. The best part of the hotel is its location. It's located fairly close to a subway line for easy access to the city, and there is a fabulous market right next door w/ coffee, snacks, deli items, made to order menu items, & everything else one might need. I did find the original reservation after we got back home and it was exactly what I told them it was.

This hotel was in a great location for getting to all of the sights in Manhattan. There was an entrance to a subway station with 3 different lines half a block away, and access to another couple of lines only a few minutes away. We could get nearly anywhere in Manhattan within 15-30 minutes. The hotel itself was modern and clean, with comfortable beds, decent-sized rooms, and everything was new and clean. Would stay again.

Stayed her for four nights with family, excellent location very close to Queens plaza subway and also close to Queens Borough plaza subway. Felt very safe walking to and from the subway. The downside is breakfast offered in the hotel. It is just bagel muffins etc. So not wise to book with breakfast option. Rather just walk to the Hudson Food Market just next to the hotel entrance. They serve good range is breakfast at very reasonable price. Hotel room was spacious, beds are comfortable and daily cleaning service, bathroom is good size and surprisingly shower water pressure is very high. Hotel staff is excellent. Definitely like to stay in future trip.

Location is key. Subway stations are 4 min walk and you are in Manhattan in no time. The market deli next to the hotel serves amazing breakfast, from smoothies to pastries to omelettes and it’s open until midnight. Add to the convenience of staying there.

This was a nice clean affordable place near New York. Having the subway so close was great! There is also two different markets nearby that are open late for last minute food/drinks/shopping needs

Excellent location, And easy to get to from the public transport system. The hotel was generally in Good condition.

I don’t like how they “include breakfast” just for there not to be any real breakfast food and a bowl of prepackaged cereal cost almost $7.

Comfortable bedding, clean and loved the morning starbucks on one day when it was available.

Very nice, quiet and clean property. Big benefit is the Starbucks coffee at the cafe. Much nicer than the Hilton Garden Inn next door. Excellent value

Th hotel had nice frielndly staff. The trin station Queens Plaza was a very short walk, maybe 2 min. Queensboro Plaza wa fairly close. The Huson Market is next door practically. It is a convenience store that also sells breakfast, sandwichhes, burgers, etc. I would stay again

The location of this hotel is great, and the transportation nearby is very convenient. However, when I booked through Expedia, breakfast was included, but I was told upon check-in that it wasn’t. It was only after I showed them my confirmation email that they acknowledged it. That said, the breakfast was very disappointing—honestly worse than what you could get at the nearby supermarket. I’d recommend not paying extra for it. Also, the hallway outside my room seemed to be under maintenance, and the soundproofing in the room was poor—I could frequently hear noise from the neighboring rooms.

The room was comfortable, clean and the view was very nice. It smelled a bit of weed but we opened the window and it went away. The staff was very helpful and professional both the times I went to speak with them. My only observation is the bar area was a bit unattended but other than that I loved it!
