La alberca y sus alrededores excelentes lo único malo fue que al hacer el check out no pudimos seguir utilizando la alberca por qué rentaron el hotel a un gran grupo , creo que se podía haber dicho al gran grupo que iban a convivir un tiempo razonable con los demás huéspedes que habíamos llegado el fin de semana

la alberca es demasiado pequeña para todos los huespedes por lo mismo no hicimos uso de ella, los jardines descuidados se ve que tiene corta pasto mas no jardinero y la comida podrian ofrecer mas variedad y mejor sabor de la comida mexicana, pedi un chocolate caliente y me trajero chocolate abuelita, siendo mexico como chocolate abuelita es pura azucar

Wow. Truly a hidden gem perfect for a relaxing getaway. We chose the weekday trip as we heard it gets really busy in Tepotzlan over the weekends. The property is kept beautifully with tropical gardens and mountain views from the pool. The rooms have cozy patios with fireplaces and they deliver coffee and cookies every morning. The food in the restaurant was so good we ate every meal there vs taking a taxi into town. Hope to be back soon!

El cuarto es espectacular, limpio, camas y almohadas de lujo. El servicio de masajes fue muy mala experiencia. El masaje es de precio muy alto y por 80 minutos. Y decidimos probarlo. Nos dieron 60 minutos de un masaje bastante malo y ligero. Al día siguiente me preguntaron sobre el masaje y les comenté todo. Me llevaron al masajista y al encargado y en la alberca, en frente de todo mundo nos expusieron a los dos…. De muy mal gusto hacer eso. La comida es demasiado “interesante” y acaba no estando buena. Yo soy más de comida deliciosa y con menos sabores diferentes. El personal del restaurante bastante lento. Y un servicio de calidad media. Pero todo el personal del hotel, recamareras, valet parking, recepción… impecables y muy muy serviciales. Con todo y esto que comento, volvería a ir ya sabiendo que no me haría masaje ahí (encontré uno maravilloso y a menos d ela mitad de precio), y con la idea de salir a comer y cenar.

The place is absolutely beautiful, we had a massage done, Esteban did mine and he was very good. We also did the ceremony and bath which was great. The only thing that I didn’t like is that my room was so close to the restaurant that at night after they close the kitchen you could hear banging of dishes and workers trying to clean up but if my room was elsewhere it would be 5/5 stay. The food was excellent. Very fresh.

Amomoxtli is, without exaggeration, one of the best experiences I’ve had in my life and I’ve traveled quite a bit. Staying here was a completely random choice; we were on our way to a wedding in Jiutepec and decided to make a pit stop in Tepoztlán. It ended up becoming the highlight of our entire trip. From the moment you walk in, you feel an immediate sense of peace. The grounds are unbelievably beautiful, lush, serene, and thoughtfully designed. We stayed in a courtyard room, which made accessing the amenities so easy and convenient. Every morning, a little basket gets delivered to your door with coffee which quickly became my favorite part of the day. I looked forward to it every single morning!! We stayed for four days and booked massages and treatments on three of those days. They were some of the most incredible spa experiences I’ve ever had. Totally worth every penny. The only thing to do is that there is no gym, but honestly with all the hikes around you wont miss it.

We recently stayed at the Amomoxtli as part of a wedding event. The resort is very private and has beautiful grounds and mountain vistas. It is very relaxing and has outstanding service. Laying around the pool is like being pampered in a little piece of paradise with great music, food and drinks. The rooms are charming and comfortable. The rain shower was amazing. My wife unfortunately got sick after the wedding and the manager Maria Zaballa was terrific arranging for Ernesto, the head of security, and a medic to come to our room to check on her. They also brought electrolyte drinks for her. Later she arranged for Ernesto to drive us into town to see a doctor. Ernesto stayed with us in town, helped interpret with the doctor, and brought us back to the resort. The next day as we were preparing to leave, both Maria and Ernesto were very attentive and made our stay as pleasant as possible while my wife recovered. I also had a hot stones massage at the spa which was one of the most skilled and best massages I have ever experienced. We want to especially thank Maria and Ernesto for their care, and to let others know that not only are the grounds, facility, dining, spa and service special, but the people working there really care about the experience of their guests and do everything they can to make it memorable.

Soy muy viajera y muy exigente, todo me pareció espectacular pero sobre todo el servicio a huéspedes superó mis expectativas te hacen sentir en casa y toda mi estancia estuvo llena de wow moments, sin duda está en mi top 3 de los hoteles donde me he hospedado!!! Gracias Staff de Amomoxtli por todas las atenciones y por hacer de nuestra estancia algo muy especial

El cuarto es espectacular, limpio, camas y almohadas de lujo. El servicio de masajes fue muy mala experiencia. El masaje es de precio muy alto y por 80 minutos. Y decidimos probarlo. Nos dieron 60 minutos de un masaje bastante malo y ligero. Al día siguiente me preguntaron sobre el masaje y les comenté todo. Me llevaron al masajista y al encargado y en la alberca, en frente de todo mundo nos expusieron a los dos…. De muy mal gusto hacer eso. La comida es demasiado “interesante” y acaba no estando buena. Yo soy más de comida deliciosa y con menos sabores diferentes. El personal del restaurante bastante lento. Y un servicio de calidad media. Pero todo el personal del hotel, recamareras, valet parking, recepción… impecables y muy muy serviciales. Con todo y esto que comento, volvería a ir ya sabiendo que no me haría masaje ahí (encontré uno maravilloso y a menos d ela mitad de precio), y con la idea de salir a comer y cenar.

Muy bonito hotel , el servicio muy bueno cuando llegas y durante la estancia , el dia en que te vas ya les urge que salgas del hotel. La comida buena , le falta variedad . El desyuno excelente y el servicio en la alberca lo necesitan mejorar no va de acuerdo al costo de la habitación.

I paid for an expensive massage but there was no bathroom. We only had one key to our room which I did not have do I had to get in the shower to use the bathroom. They messed up our room and forget to get us our room key. We waited 3 hours by the pool and reminded them multiple times before finally we got our key. They offered to pack up our room so we did not have to leave at check out. I got home and realized they did not pack my clothing from the bathroom.

The staff and grounds of Hotel Amomoxtli are second to none. This is one of the most fabulous hotels in the world. The spa and pool are incredible. I've been here twice and each time I've left saying that was one of the best hotel stays I've ever had. The coffee service in the morning is a huge treat too.

A view to die for. Wonderful, relaxing resort which is 5 stars. Rooms are spacious and private. Grounds perfectly maintained. Pool area nicely appointed. Restaurant provides local choices that are nutritious and tasty. Service is beyond excellent. Property is beyond perfect.

Pros: This is a stunningly beautiful hotel. The mountain views are incredible. Very charming. Spa services were top-notch. If you get a massage, ask for Joel. He has the hands of Thor. Overall, very friendly and welcoming staff--shout to Ariana at the reception who went above and beyond. Cons: Services at spa and poolside bar are a little expensive in my opinion, so be prepared to spend some cash if you use these amenities. Also, it's a little far from the center of town (a good 10-15 minute drive because of the road conditions). Wish the hotel had bikes, so visitors could ride the into town. Walking is probably a solid 20-30 minutes. Overall: I loved it and would consider coming back!

Property and service is fantastic. Great place for a long weekend. Getting to and from is problematic. The steers in town are in really bad shape so it’s not the kind of place you will walk out of the property and walk around but once you cross the gate it’s paradise

Wow. Truly a hidden gem perfect for a relaxing getaway. We chose the weekday trip as we heard it gets really busy in Tepotzlan over the weekends. The property is kept beautifully with tropical gardens and mountain views from the pool. The rooms have cozy patios with fireplaces and they deliver coffee and cookies every morning. The food in the restaurant was so good we ate every meal there vs taking a taxi into town. Hope to be back soon!

El lugar es muy hermoso, espectacular. Pero la comida es infame, es de estos chefs pretensiosos que diseñan menún nada apetecibles, pretensiosos sin nada sencillo y que, para colomo, preparan mal. Salados, huevos que no puedes acompañar con pan, moles francamente malos. Es una pena, yo podría ir al lugar una vez al mes pero con esa comida, tendré que buscar otro lugar en Tepoztlán. Una pena.

El hotel es nuevo con instalaciones muy bien cuidadas. La alberca es increíble con camastros mega confortables. Falta capacitación al personal de meseros porque no conocen bien las bebidas, como servir la comida (traían todo al mismo tiempo en el restaurante). El desayuno y postres muy buenos. El resto de la comida hay mucha variedad pero muchos platillos les falta sabor. En general es un gran lugar con oportunidad de mejorar en servicio y comida del restaurante.

Amazing resort! Such a beautiful setting. It’s like being in a luxurious jungle. Private rooms and private patio was incredible. Restaurant is excellent. My wife had one of the best massages of her life at the spa. Highly recommend!

“We understand your concerns but we have work to do” is what we were told when we noticed and heard that the roof above our room was being renovated. The banging was so hard, stuff were falling off the surfaces in the rooms. Then he followed up that “the construction is only from 10 am until 6 pm!” After many hours of waiting, we were moved to another room
