Pros: • The room and bed were very comfortable, making for a pleasant stay. • The shower was amazing, with great water pressure, soft towels, and an overall excellent experience. • Service was outstanding—the reception staff were incredibly professional and polite, truly making a difference. • Small but thoughtful touches, like free fruits at reception and high-quality coffee that was regularly topped up, were much appreciated. Cons: • The noise levels were quite disruptive due to ongoing construction outside. This included heavy drilling throughout the day on Friday (until around 5–5:30 PM), as well as loud construction and metal loading/unloading at 4 AM on Saturday night. The windows were not soundproof, which made it even more noticeable. • Lift issues—one of the elevators was out of service, which resulted in long waits. To make it worse, handymen and construction workers were also using the only working lift, making the situation even more frustrating. Despite the noise and lift inconvenience, I would still stay here again due to the exceptional service, comfort, and thoughtful amenities. However, guests should be aware of potential disruptions if construction is still ongoing.

The staff was very helpful and polite. We used the valet parking and were amazed at the service. Are brand new vehicle that had not even a scratch was returned in pristine condintion. Accidentally left medication in SUV n staff at garage helped right away. The hotel is centrally located and we had no problem walking to cental park empire state rockerfella plaza trump plaza just amazing spot.Times square short walk as well would be great new years door. Called down to front desk and advised check out time and vehicle was waiting at front door ! Thank you for one of my best states anywhere had an amazing time. Againg great spot

The Bernic will be my go-to for trips to NYC from here on out. The room was incredibly spacious for Manhattan and the bed was very comfortable. The location cannot be beat - within easy walking distance of the theater district and subway and bus lines, but far away enough from the noise and chaos of Times Square. The room was very clean and the in-room Nespresso machine and mini-fridge made it even more convenient. They also offer access to a full-service gym around the corner that was excellent! Really a perfect place to stay in Manhattan.

The heating cooling system is so noisy, balcony is non existent. Door does not open and it is not even a foot wide. corner unit is nice but the bed is against the wall that is connected so if someone gets on the bed in the next room the whole wall shakes. Loved the coffee and shower pressure could take your skin off. Bed was okay a little firm, very clean, very safe, and good location but absolutely no parking put it in the garage down the road 212 47th street.

Check in was easy. The room was very nice. Bed was very comfortable and when asked for extra pillows, the front desk was very accommodating. Loved the extra large shower and the heated floors in the bathroom. The restaurant was fantastic! I would come to New York again just to go there! would stay again.

This was a great, affordable hotel for the weekend with a great location in midtown, convenient to the city by subway or walking, few minutes from rockafeller center and the tree. Room service from the restaurant is great. Our room had a balcony which is rare in NYC hotels. The bathroom had heated floor which was amazing. Staff pleasant and helpful. Room clean and up to date. Bed reasonably comfortable. No huge frills but perfect for a getaway. Solid place to stay, would definitely come back. Great value for what we paid for such an amazing location!

The Bernic is quaint and stylishly comfortable, with outstanding customer service. Wonderfully located within walking distance of Rockefeller Center, St Patrick’s Cathedral and the fabulous shops along Fifth Avenue, it’s a tourist’s perfect find. The bonus? An amazing authentic Italian Restaurant, Allora, in the hotel. Dinner there makes the stay exceptional. Well done.

The room was very clean and in checkout they had an option they can hold our luggage’s if needed incase we needed to get things done in the city before we go to the airport. It was amazing ! And also you wouldn’t have to walk far for food or snacks . It has a Japanese grocery store next to it and also an Italian restaurant alora next door !

Staff was so sweet. However. My toilet was broke. Sink drained slow and my AC unit did not cook the room. They supplied me with a fan. They instantly fixed the toilet when asked. The covers when reflected in the light had lots of stains. But I really loved the staff.

This place was a dump. I am a diamond member with Hilton and booked through Expedia to receive a statement credit on my Amex. The hotel was in bad shape. My bathroom had mold, shower was not cleaned, the baseboards throughout the room were covered in dirt and muck as well. Bed was very uncomfortable. Place is represented as a boutique hotel however is anything but. There’s too much competition in New York. Love Hilton as a brand; I have been with them many nights this year, how ever this place was not acceptable.

The property is right smack in the mix of a renovation project across the street-Because of the INCREDIBLY loud noise and trucks backing up with their charming alarms was lucky to get 3 hours of sl;eep-If you actually want to sleep find a better located hotel.

From the reception to size of the room, it was phenomenal. The shower is big, along with shower pressure, plenty of towels, and clean. I will never stay at any other hotel in the city. The Bernic is perfect in every way.

ALL the staff were excellent. That was the best thing about this stay. King corner balcony rooms view was facing an apartment full of air conditioning units and the back of two other masonry buildings. The balcony view was awful and not worth it.

Initially loved my room and had a beautiful view on the balcony but when I got back to my room the air conditioning unit was working properly. The temperature was set for 68 degrees but the room was 80 degrees all night. I reached out to the front desk at 6am and it wasn’t fixed until 10am. Otherwise everything went well.

Nespresso machine with real capsules. Robe. Enough towels for two. Real cups and saucers. Decent soap and shampoo. Great bedding. Convenient outlets. This room reminded me of the ones I stayed in in Istanbul. A small room with all you need. Although in Istanbul there was a kettle for hot water, but in Istanbul breakfast was free. As I checked in without full luggage, I would have appreciated slippers. But the floor looked clean enough to walk on barefoot. I appreciate that there was no carpeting as many newer hotels have done. It is better for allergy sufferers and easier to clean. My room even had a proper closet. If I would have needed to work on my laptop, the setup was not perfect. There is a small table and the two drawers in the room are in a bench that a person could sit on to work. I would return

Can you say disappointment? Waste of money? Balcony corner rooms are a ripoff, no furniture, no view, and a “balcony” room on the second floor that over looks the first floor roof?????? Seriously? Who makes balconies on a 2nd floor?? The “balcony” was side by side touching the neighbors balcony with short walls between us — ZERO privacy whatsoever. Couldn’t even go on the patio open to the public because it closes early despite calling hotel in advance and asking for the hours. They didn’t even have a stocked mini bar set up in the room’s fridge…… “4 star hotel” where? Customer service / experience just was NOT a priority in the making of this hotel. Prude staff. VERY basic room. Just use your money to get better value elsewhere. I would never ever stay again, you couldn’t pay me!

Convenient location! The room was clean. And the staff was very friendly. We checked in early (paid an additional $35). And for our check out, we were able to store our luggage for free. The only gripe is that there was a significant white noise of a huge fan from the back of the building. But i would stay here again.

Staff was incredibly helpful and friendly! This was a special stay for my husband's birthday and we got a complimentary upgrade to our room. The hotel also provided toothpaste and a toothbrush since we forgot ours at home. I also loved being able to text staff for any needs during our stay...we realized we ran out of beverages in the middle of the night and housekeeping delivered water to our door within minutes. Excellent service, one of the best hotels we've been to- we will definitely be back!!

The hotel itself was super clean and the room looked exactly like the photos. The front desk staff were AMAZING and very accommodating. The only thing I would suggest is if you’re looking for somewhere closer to Times Square then this may not be the best option as the distance is pretty far for walking.

The hot water went out during my stay and was off for a few hours during the night but they fixed it promptly. great location, easily walkable to lots of sites, food available on site (but expensive, not advertised as gluten friendly) valet parking convenient and fairly priced. Map location is NOT in the right place, so if you're unfamiliar with its location it may take some time to find (just a block above where its set on google maps) friendly service, clean and spacious rooms, the shower couldve used a scrub but i'm a little picky about that sort of thing, everything else was great and very comfortable, really happy they offered a mini fridge to store snacks and leftovers. balcony was also perfect for a step out for fresh air, would love to stay again. Even with construction outside of the hotel, it was quiet enough to sleep. Thank you!
