If using public transportation from Changi airport the 36 bus takes you about 2 blocks from the hotel in about 35 minutes. Hotel reception is on the 7th floor so entrance to hotel is not obvious from the street. The hotel is located through the shopping arcade fronted by Starbucks and BaBa Chews restaurant. Good size room with comfortable bed. Daily breakfast had a decent selection and was open from 6:30-10:30. There is a gym and laundry and outdoor patio. Lots of restaurants and shopping in the area.

We had a great stay at this hotel. The buffet breakfast was excellent with many choices. The location was convenient, near the metro, a shopping mall, and interesting heritage shops. The only unusual part was that reception was on the 7th floor, but overall, a wonderful experience!

There are nice rooms but they are a bit small. Perfect for business trips where you are alone. The breakfast it’s okey. Liked that they had a laundry room where you can wash yourself. The gym is not much to brag about. I'll be back.

We stop here for a late night early morning flight . The hotel was very good ,I would have stayed again but it's a little far from the main highlights of the city . It had the biggest breakfast buffet I've ever seen . The hotel front desk is on the 4th floor (kind of interesting) . The taxi from the airport was about $30 , back was $25 . You could get there by subway but it's over an hour ,the taxi is 10 to 15 min.

The Room was Terrific. Shower and Sink size was Exceptionally wonderful. The Bed was convertable. They could use skinny pillows fir the comfort of the Head while sleeping. Coffee machine was Great and needed. The Free Buffet Breakfast was Wonderful and Superb. All tge staff and workers in every Department were Friendly and Professional. I Weight Room and Laundry Facilities were greatly needed and Appreciated. I will stay at this Hotel again.

Room was ok but small. No door between sleeping area and the bathroom. Fridge was just a box, not cold and couldn’t get it cold as there was no chiller control. Comfortable bed and pillows. Area close by was nice with plenty of options for eating. Expensive for what we got.

The hotel was great but the people at the check in needs a little customer interaction training. Not very pleasant at all. If you want people to come back I suggest you fire the crew and retrain a new crew.

I have nothing but only great things to say about this hotel! My son who is three, woke up sick at 3 AM and threw up all over our sheets. I called up housekeeping and informed them, and they sent someone up within 10 minutes. They did not charge us extra and for that I’m so thankful. I lost my key card, and informed the reception, and they gave me a new one without any extra charge. The USB ports were not working, call the reception and they sent a technician up very quickly and got it fixed right away. The service given to us was impeccable. All staff were always friendly and always catered to the individual. I will certainly recommend Holiday Inn Katong to our friends and family :)

We had a great time in this hotel. We arrived at changi airport at 5:00 Am. I called to staff, her name is sikin, she allowed early check in at 11:00 Am. She is very kind and thoughtful staff. Free breakfast was awesome and room is very clean. We were very comfortable with this hotel for 2 nights.

Good location with i12 mall next to. Walkable and convenient with many bus routes. Pretty good breakfast. My 3 day stay would be perfect except the housekeeping attendants were so loud speaking their dialets up and down on the hallways i cant get anything done. Once they woke me up while taking nap.

The staff were so kind, supportive, and professional. I arrived around 10:30 am after a 17 hour flight. Johnston offered to accommodate me without me asking and I was able to get a room and get some well needed rest. The food I ordered was delicious! I had to order it again. It was very clean and safe. I most definitely would stay again!

I've stayed there several times and loved it. The location is very convenient for walking around, maybe 1/2 mile from the MRT station, and lots of restaurants. The buffet breakfast is always well done. Will stay there again.

This is a great property to stay if you are on a budget and need to be in the east or near the airport. It is located in Joo Chiat, a trendy neighborhood well known for its cafes and plentiful food choices. You can also book yourself to one of the many spin/yoga/pilates classes nearby. The guest room though small has an efficient use of space. The rooms are very clean and new and it is what I appreciated the most. It had good aircon control as well as water control in the bathrooms. It would be great if the chair was more comfortable so I can work more comfortably in the room. The stay came with breakfast, though basic - bread, porridge, noodles, eggs, salad, fruit and cereal, it was good enough to nourish me for the day. The dining area is very spacious though it felt a bit like being in a canteen. I think it would be great to spruce up the reception area to make it more modern and less tired. There is also a laundry area to wash your clothes, and that's another big plus. All in all, it was worth the price I paid, the biggest plus is the location and the clean and new rooms.
