ibis Styles London Heathrow Airport

Always worth stating here, if you have an early flight out of Heathrow, or if you work close by. The place is new, the rooms are functional, clean, modern and comfortable. This ‘style’ that they are so sure they have cracked, is very much a matter of taste/up for debate, but it’s neutral enough to be OK. I’m sure I’ll stay here again at some point.

I was using the hotel as a one night stay before an early morning flight so the proximity and transport to the airport were excellent. The staff were very good and allowed me early access to my room. So, from the practical point of view, it served its place perfectly. However, the comfort of the bed was very poor. The mattress wasn’t just very firm, it was downright solid with no give whatsoever. I also have to say that whoever chose the design of the carpet needs their head examined. The pattern gives the impression that it’s dirty with stains of spillage all over. I know this is a personal point of view but it gave me the impression of uncleanliness and not wanting to walk barefoot on it. So, to sum up: practically - excellent; comfort - poor. Value for money, I suppose where it is and what people will generally use it for, it is good. Would I use it again? Probably not.

Convenient for a morning flight from LHR, but very basic.

Being so close to the airport, they don't have shuttle service to LHR. When asked, they were like take a bus. Didn't even offer to arrange a taxi or suggest an Uber. We specifically booked ibis near me airport for shuttle facility. Additionally, the receptionist was like there is one another ibis down the road and that one has airport shuttle. Dinner food was very mediocre. Breakfast staff was a bit rude. She appeared stressed and was the only one around. So probably should have an extra staff to not stress their staff.
