Excellent property nestled in the hustle bustle of LA, great walk score if you intend to visit some offices close by. Overall would recommend it, the only caveat is they do not have their own restaurant or cafe, however plenty of options outside.

Super nice and clean place. Super friendly and professional staff. The one thing I do not like about this hotel though is the $40 parking. That came up as I was signing for the room and was a bit thrown off guard. I don’t necessarily think this is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. But if I was looking for a place again, and there was nothing left, I’d stay here. Otherwise, I do not think it is worth the premium.

Really nice place to stay in Westwood. No pool or room service, but there are lots of options nearby. The rooms are terrific and the staff is very helpful.

A lovely classic Spanish style hotel but only 8 years old. The rooms are really well equipped with cooking facilities and are more apartment than simple hotel rooms. We stayed on two occasions and both our rooms had washer dryers which were very useful. Not all rooms have this facility so you would need to request this. The beds are really comfortable and the bathrooms have great showers The roof terrace is lovely with comfortable seating, chairs and tables and fruit trees. The hotel is like an oasis in the centre of Westwood, very peaceful and homely. Nearby are good restaurants and shops. The staff are all lovely and very helpful. We look forward to coming back. We think that this is the best hotel in this area.

This was our second stay at Plaza La Reina and I was a little let down - our room was barely cleaned. The bathmat and towels were moved and the garbage cans emptied but no coffee refilled, cups not cleared every day! I asked about it after the first day, received an apology and no change. Disappointed!!!! Just felt a little less fantastic than last time.

Great location and friendly helpful staff. Larger space than your usual hotel room. Nice rooftop outdoor area. Handy to have Car parking (bit expensive) and Kitchenette facilities. Our room had a washer /dryer which was great but the dryer would only run for 10mins and then stop. One of the pillow slips and one of our towels had a hole in them and the balcony door lock was broken. Things just seemed to be a bit neglected. Disappointed with cleanliness (long hair in the shower) and the floors could have done with a decent mopping as our feet got quite dirty walking around the room.

We stayed for 4 nights in this beautiful hotel. Room was very spacious, clean and very comfortable with everything we needed . Staff was friendly and helpful. Area was quiet and safe. Daily housekeeping was provided. Pillows and bed especially comfortable. Would definitely recommend !

It was not our first time at this property. We loved the space and location of the hotel but the service this trip was lacking. Housekeeping was extremely minimal- they barely touched our room. We had to ask each day for coffee and towels over a 3 day stay as they were never refilled. Glassware was never cleaned despite the room having a kitchenette. This was disappointing. Considering the hotel offers no amenities like a pool or restaurant or bar I would expect more in this area.

I booked to pay on arrival, they charged the credit card on file prior to my arrival. Not the card i wanted to use, since it is a business trip I use my credit card. Ok, fine, let it go. At the end of my day when I went to shower and closed the bathroom door, there was a towel hanging on the holder behind the door. Made me questioned the overall cleanliness of my room.

The room was nice overall. Well furnished with a nice little kitchenette, however it got overshadowed by an extremely smelly bathroom. It had a bad sewer type smell to it and we could tell the bathroom didn't seem to be cleaned very well either. We have no idea if this is an isolated incident or not as we were only there for the night and didn't discover it until we got all unpacked. We decided to just hold our noses and tough it out.

I love this location - it’s close to my family and it’s just a great neighborhood. The hotel is beautiful but my experience was not great. The room had limited natural light as there were no windows just doors that had the view of the adjacent building. If you like a dark room this is the room for you just not for me. It’s difficult for me to sleep and the temperature in the room was difficult to control so it got really hot at nights coupled with the time clock on the microwave that illuminated into the bedroom. I requested a room change twice but it was told it was either too early or too late and it just never happened. So I basically had very little sleep in the span of the 3 nights that I was there. Too bad for me.

The amenities offered in the suite we booked were incredible. Although we didn't need it, there's even a washer and dryer in the unit. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans, dishes and utensils, even a dishwasher!! The property was very quiet and clean, bed was very comfortable. Would definitely recommend.

Amazing property in the grand themes of Hollywood's Spanish Revival architecture. This is a new hotel that feels like a grand 1920's vintage building. The rooms are beautifully decorated, some have balconies, many have small kitchens with microwave, dishwasher, sink, dishwasher. Very quite within walking distance to UCLA.

The room was great - clean, spacious, nicely furnished with desk, table and long counter with cooking ability on it. It's on a nice space of road in Westwood - close to everything, but quiet. Low key so only saw the front desk person, but she/he was always nice and helpful. We'll definitely go there again!

This was my first stay at Plaza La Reina and I was extremely impressed with the property and staff. The room was spacious and included a small kitchenette, small living room area, balcony and even a washer and dryer. It was very quiet and there is a beautiful rooftop patio. I really appreciate how friendly and helpful the staff were and I felt safe traveling alone because they lock the doors at night and personally greet every guest. I look forward to staying here in the future!

A lovely hotel with spacious rooms. The TV wasn’t working in our room, so they had us move to a different room because the hotel technician wasn’t on shift. However, they wouldn’t discuss the possibility of a discount for this inconvenience, which was a bit disappointing. In fact, they were pretty unfriendly about the whole thing. For the money we were paying, I’d at least expect more kindness (and maybe even an apology).

I love this hotel. Convenient for my purposes and the rooms are great size, well-appointed, well maintained and extremely comfortable. That said, I would be remiss if I did not mention Troy, the Concierge. He is extraordinary. He manages to remember all guests names, what they need, prefer, or have requested and is always pleasant, helpful, and accommodating. I cannot say too many good things about Troy. He is truly a treasure and provides the type of service rarely seen in hotels these days.

I chose this property because of its proximity to an event I was attending. The reviews sounded great! The property is clean, lovely and comfortable. Unfortunately, we had a horrific experience eith the owner. Our first night, we used the shower and the water literally flooded all over the bathroom floor. The amazing feonst desk person helped us mop it up and offered to change our room. Super great service and she was so kind. The next morning, it happens again! This time they sent the owner who told us, this has never happened in the 10 years he has owned the building and proceeded to ask me the dumbest questions: Did you put your foot over the drain while you showered? Did your child sit on the drain? Did you face the shower head outside of the shower? He then raised his voice. He then told us that we had 50 minutes to leave if we wanted to or we would be charged the full amount. I mean, this guy was a situation. I hope if you stay here, you have ZERO interactions with this horrendous human. menvee

The property is beautiful and the bed linen and towels are of premium quality. I wish I could say the same of the service. This place gets an F in service. Arrogant and rude front desk male agent checked me in. I received better treatment from TSA airport agents!! When I checked out, the female representative at the desk couldn’t even bother asking me how my stay was so I had to volunteer that it was the poorest hospitality experience from a premium boutique hotel. And to add insult to injury, they are promoting a buffet breakfast on hotels.com that doesn’t exist!! A complete joke!!!
The property is beautiful and the bed linen and towels are of premium quality. I wish I could say the same of the service. This place gets an F in service. Arrogant and rude front desk male agent checked me in. I received better treatment from TSA airport agents!! When I checked out, the female representative at the desk couldn’t even bother asking me how my stay was so I had to volunteer that it was the poorest hospitality experience from a premium boutique hotel. And to add insult to injury, they are promoting a buffet breakfast on hotels.com that doesn’t exist!! A complete joke!!!

I've stayed at PLR several times and have always been impressed with the spaciousness, comfort, and cleanliness of the rooms. Also, Troy, who works the front desk is a Godsend - he's one of the most personable and helpful hotel staff members I've ever met. He was infinitely attentive and accommodating to me and my family during our recent stay. Needless to say, it's the staff and brilliant rooms that make PLR our go-to destination when visiting Los Angeles.

This is an extremely well-maintained hotel, which is centrally-located in Westwood. This is my second stay and I've found that the staff goes above and beyond and is very friendly and helpful. My room was very spacious, offered great amenities and the hotel was quiet and really comfortable. I appreciate how the hotel locks the front door at a certain time at night and a staff member is at the desk around the clock. I felt very safe as a female staying by myself. I highly recommend staying at the Plaza La Reina!

This will be my new home in LA. Such a pretty and gracious place. The roof deck with its fragrant citrus trees was such a treat. The staff were super - especially the night shift man. We arrived late and at night and Johnny (I think that’s his name) treated us like family. Same on the early morning exit when he helped us check out.

This is a beautiful property right in the heart of Westwood Village. Walk to restaurants, stores, and UCLA campus. It was quiet, bed was comfortable, and the suite was spacious. The concierge was very helpful, friendly, professional, and accommodating. When our key card didn't work, he came right away with a replacement so we didn't have to go downstairs. Parking is locked with a roll-down security grille so no one can get in without a key card, and it is accessed by elevator from the lobby. The air vent near the ceiling was very dusty (we have allergies so we notice these things), but we had no issues with air quality. Otherwise the room and hotel were spotless, charming, and we love the beautiful courtyard. The kitchenette had everything we needed. This was our second stay here and is one of our favorite hotels in this area. We will definitely stay here again.

Beautiful lobby and lovely rooms with a Spanish colonial influence. Great character and an incredibly solicitous and welcoming staff.

The location is wonderful. Located right next to UCLA, it's a safe, walk-able area with lots of restaurant options and even a Trader Joe's and Target for groceries. The Hammer musuem is on the next block and worth visiting if you have a little extra time to spare. My wife and I stayed here for 6 days while we were visiting LA and we loved this hotel and walking around Westwood and the UCLA campus. There is a very nice rooftop terrace on the 6th floor that is the perfect spot to hangout in the evenings. There are fruit trees with edible fruit, we enjoyed the kumquats. There is a parking garage underneath the hotel that makes parking easy. As some others have mentioned, you need a key card to access the parking garage so you will need to call the front desk when you arrive and they can open the gate for you so you can get into the garage to unload your luggage and check-in. Everyone at the front desk was great and very helpful. The front desk is staffed 24/7. I want to give a special shoutout to Troy who really went above and beyond to be proactive and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. Our room had a clothing washer/dryer which came in handy. It was nice having a kitchenette as well since the hotel doesn't have a restaurant or offer breakfast.

Beautiful property with a lovely courtyard located five minutes from UCLA campus. Lots of dining options very close, including one inside the Modern Art Muaeum. My room was enormous, with a full kitchenette, dining table and living space. Way more space than I needed for my brief stay! The staff were very helpful and welcoming without being fake or corporate feeling

The concierge was terrific. The room was luxurious, big and the bed was extra comfortable. No restaurant or room service. The $45 food credit was for a 10% off at the Mediterranean restaurant across the street, which is basically useless. The rooftop terrorists serene and empty. A few exercise equipment is up there as well.

I’m not sure if our room (103) is the Hotels.com/Expedia room, but you have to enter the room from an alley between the hotel and an office building. It would be nice if you had the option to enter room 103 from the second floor courtyard.
