Great stay! I like you can park right in front of your room, good for easy unloading and loading. Owner is nice and helpful. Good location for Channel Islands visit, close to beaches, Ventura Pier and downtown Ventura. Definitely would stay here again!

The room was clean. The owner was great. The only thing that would have made it better was an ice machine.

What I didn’t like was that there were no cups or glasses in the room and no coffeemaker. I had to ask the front desk for a cup and I received one flimsy plastic cup. I then asked to point me to the ice machine and drink dispenser. There was none on the property. I asked for a bottled water and management wanted to charge me a dollar and was rude that I was making requests. I also was a late check in due to traveling. The property and room were lovely and clean and quiet, though they were doing some exterior improvements. I would stay there again, knowing to plan ahead and provide my own water and coffee.

No microwave was deal breaker for us. No way to make coffee or reheat left overs. Otherwise room was clean, comfortable, great TV

Cute little motel. Manager was super helpful and great customer service. Would be nice if room had a fridge and blowsryer but that said room was nice clean and comfortable. Nice quiet location.

Nice renovations and helpful staff! Clean room and a comfortable bed. No vending machines, coffee, microwave, ice or plastic cups. Water pressure was weak. Great short stay on a budget!

Brand new rooms and bathrooms. Modern. No microwave. Only one bed light. No cups in bathroom. Very basic, only 2 hard stools, and mini table.

Rooms are basically new due to renovations. Mini fridge and safe. No ice nor soda machine but store 1/4 block away. No iron is only complain. Great stay!✌

This is a property that has had a lot of work done, and the rooms are quite nice. Unfortunately, there are no coffee machines and no place close by to get coffee. No microwaves either. Also, we were not told until after we made a non-refundable reservation that there was construction work going on at the property starting at 7 am. The host was nice.

White Caps was a great stay! The staff was courteous and it is clear they take pride in the rooms. Pleasantly decorated and perfectly clean. Rain shower is a huge plus!

There was mold and it had flies and cockroaches. Parking was terrible

At first impression the area where the hotel is located didn’t look the best, but overall was very safe, relatively quiet and convenient. The recently remodeled room is nicely decorated, spacious and comfortable. The property still being renovated outside, but that wasn’t an issue for us. We had a good night sleep on the bed which was very comfortable the couple of nights we stayed. Things that I would suggest are replacing the duvet covers, which were clean, but very stained and paying a little more attention to the cleanliness of the room. Overall, the room appeared clean, but upon a more detailed inspection there were some stains on the floor, and the bathroom shower especially, needs more attention and a good scrub, since it had mold growing in corners and the grooves of it’s tiled floor. I would stay here again if my suggestions are implemented, as the rooms offer good value for the price.

Booked through Expedia. Couldn’t reach the front desk staff, called 6 times in the 4 days previous to the stay. Tried email and contacted Expedia customer service and even they couldn’t reach the motel. Once we arrived the front desk person was kind. The room smelled strongly of old stale cigarette smoke. White bedding had stains. Under the sheets the mattress cover had hairs and looked like it needed to be cleaned. The shower wasn’t cleaned well and once I use half the box of tissues I noticed the box had been reused and refilled, the tissues underneath looked used. The toiletries were basic but few. The renovations look nice but it’s like a bad facelift. Wouldn’t pay $200/night for it again.

We stayed 3 nights here and it was really nice! The rooms were exceptionally clean!

Dirty sheets, dirty towels, and hairs on bed. Good price, but definitely not worth dealing with little details here and there. Maybe it was just our experience but hopefully it’s better.

Our room was newly renovated, just as described on the Expedia listing. VERY clean, VERY comfortable and exactly what we needed for this particular trip. If you're looking for a Hyatt Regency, with all it's amenities ... the White Caps Motel is not for you. But, if you're looking for a great, clean, comfortable place to stay for a night or two, I highly recommend this motel !! At the time of our visit, there still appeared to be some exterior renovations going on. But, they were nothing that disturbed our stay, in any way. I would highly recommend the White Caps Motel to anyone and we will most definitely go back, the next time we're in the Ventura/Oxnard area !!

This property appear to be newly remodeled with new fixtures, furnishings paint Etc. The sad part about this stay there were bugs some on the bed and within the room.

Rooms are spacious and clean.

Room was really nice and well taken care of. There was no issue of construction noise. I will say for some reason the room did get humid or moist cause sometimes I’d wake up to find my clothes a little damp.

Rooms are generally quiet and feel safe and clean. Plumbing is quite loud when neighbors use the shower. Lights flicker randomly. Seems like some kind of wiring issue but for the price, this was a good stay. Clean, comfortable and convenient.

This is my second time to stay here. It’s completely new, clean, and fresh inside. The room also is sounds proof from the noise; so pleasant quiet at night. Highly recommend to others.

This was just a quick overnight, but I was impressed with the design of the room and the quality of the toiletries. The only drawback was the small refrigerator making random noises.

The place was cute, comfortable and clean! The bed was comfortable and high quality bedding! Newly remodeled! Place under construction but it was quiet! The only I would say either the AC or water heater made a loud noise very so often and would wake me up! Other then that was perfect!

Nice old school motel for the price. Rooms are small with limited amenities, but they have been updated recently and are pretty nice. The exterior is currently undergoing renovation, but noise and disruption were minimal. Staffing seems a bit limited, so daily maid service for multi-day stays isn’t a thing here. Overall, I’d say it’s a good value for the price. I’d stay at the White Caps again.

I checked in just after 3pm, it took almost 15 mins to check in. I was given room 201 right next to the main road, even though there was only a few guests staying at the motel. I then found an additional charge of $88 on my card, which was immediately refunded. This was on top of the $100 for additional charges, which I hope is also removed. The room is definitely not sound proof as heard traffic all night…

The location was great! I liked being able to park in front of my room it makes it easy for loading and unloading. The staff was accommodating, attentive, and very polite. Will return and would recommend.

Had to pay ahead for a room deposit which would have been fine but the man in the office was very rude about it and kept repeating that I would get it back “after inspection” and if I passed and I’m like okay and I checked out a few days ago and still have not received it back. On top of that the entire time he walks around with a very angry look and just watches you when you come out the room to go anywhere and literally stands there staring you down it made it so uncomfortable like I’m walking on eggshells around this place definitely made it feel unwelcome. I would not stay here again which is unfortunate because the rooms are actually very cute they just need different management.

Room was clean, well maintained and well furnished. A problem with our big screen TV was remedied quickly by the motel manager. He was also very understanding about our late check out. I would recommend this motel.

I arrived early and had to pay a 50 dollar check in fee which was fine. The one thing that was confusing was i had to pay them a 100 dollar security deposit before check in even though i paid through expedia, for my stay, dosen't sound right to me but whatever...

Great place to stay, near Ventura and also to the ferries that go out to Channel Islands. The owner is a super nice guy and looks out for his customer. I accidentally dropped my room key along with my credit card into the drop box on my check out date and owner called me within 10 min to tell me this. I would definitely stay here again when back in Ventura. Clean, and newly renovated.

Considering they are still renovating the place was quiet, clean, check in and out was super easy and convenient. The staff is wonderful. They really make sure they can accommodate your needs.

It was going great. I had a 5 day stay was working outta town. When i was at work i called at 11am saying i would like fresh towels and new sheets on the bed. great okay guy on the phone said okay be done in 10mins. I get home from work at 7pm nothing has change no towels no new sheets. I go to the front desk said the maid gone for the day.

We arrived super late and the front desk waited up for us to check in and was super gracious to us. Very nice man. Would stay here again.

not only was I harassed by the property owner, discriminated against, had my privacy invaded, but beyond all that when checking out the property owner checked our room and proceeded to say we stole a plastic try from the refrigerator!! Like come on out of all things what! Not only that but even after we were treated so poorly by staff here we even had the decency to leave with the room cleaner than when we got there because we didn’t want any more problems. I mean literally the facts are that we were stereotyped to what the owner must have thought the filth of the earth was because that’s how he made us feel. What’s funny is that everything was fine u til we asked to stay another day which is what changed everything. By asking to stay that extra day the owner then decided after we paid that he could then just come In our room with no respect of our privacy and begin to tell us “you have too much stuff” then checked the bathroom and said “ oh no “ and then when leaving told us “ no graffiti on the walls no scratching the walls and don’t bother the customers” whatttt!!! Are you kidding me!! So rude, so disrespectful, never been treated like this at any other place in my life, and I’ve stayed at many establishments far and wide. So if you wanna be treated like second rate garbage, go right ahead and stay here. You’ll be welcomed with open arms.

This was absolutely one of the nicest motels I’ve ever stayed in. It’s nicer than any hotels I’ve stayed at in a while too. Everything was brand new. I love that it didn’t have carpet anywhere as well. Bed was extremely comfortable and bathroom was spotless. Would recommend!

Came in late and only spent one night but found it clean and comfortable. Not fancy, but freshly remodeled. An extra plus for us is that it’s walking distance to Cafe Nouveau for breakfast or dinner. And not too far from downtown either. We will stay here again.

Such a cute boutique motel close to the ocean. Super clean, staff was friendly and accommodating ensuring that I felt safe the entire trip. Great for solo travel females!

A clean bed and a shower, nothing else. Which is good, just what you need sometimes. We walked to Madewest brewery on the pier, enjoyed some seafood while looking at the ocean. So nice. The room has no kettle or coffeemaker, but a 24-hour McDonald’s is less than 5 minute drive.

Everything seemed brand new! Bed was very comfortable, towels were soft and absorbent, tv was huge and worked perfectly, shower had plenty of hot water with a rain shower head. Very nice. Would definitely stay here again. Just wish it had a coffee maker or continental breakfast or even just coffee in the lobby.

The hotel room was very quiet and everything was brand new and clean felt very safe. My car felt safe and would definitely stay there again. The only little disappointment was no coffee in the room, but not the end of the world.

It’s a terrific little spot, very quaint yet up to date with the decor. Very clean and basic. My only issue was no coffee pot which is very much needed in the morning. But you can drive down to a little donut shop by Vons which has excellent coffee! Still, in the room is better regardless. Also, no ice machine on the premises which is inconvenient to say the least, but you find a way to bring it back to the room and not make a mess. I just got large cups of ice at a sandwich shop. But seriously, except for these two issues it’s totally fine and a great place. The front desk agent was incredibly nice and helpful.

In some ways, this stay was better than other Hampton Inn stays on the same trip. There was Charmin TP in the bathroom, tissue in the Kleenex box, liners in the wastebaskets. There was plenty of hot water in the shower and soaps on the counter. The refrigerator worked beautifully. Parking and access to the room could not have been easier. Easy check out in the morning. No Frills: the bed was moderately comfortable, no extra blanket, no closet or drawers, no microwave, no ice, no continental breakfast, no coffee.
