Hotel was good value for the price. However, the rooftop is closed on Sundays and Mondays. This was a huge disappointment, as it was the only reason I booked it, for access to the incredible views. Without the roof, it is a standard hotel. Also checkout is at 11am, earlier than most hotels where checkout is noon. Also bed was terrible, soft and hurt my back.

Fabulous hotel!! Very safe and secure. The room must have been very soundproof because it is located in a very busy area. We were quite pleased with that aspect. The 2nd floor outdoor area was quite the hit. Very clean throughout. Would love to stay again!!

Staff was friendly. We paid for valet parking, however, had an early flight and valet wasn’t available. I wish I would have known that ahead of time so I didn’t have to go looking for my parked vehicle at 3am. Our room was clean and the view was phenomenal but after a night in the rain, we wanted to warm up and our heater was just blowing out cool air. We had a few hours before we needed to check out to catch our flight so we just stayed for the rest of the night.

The hotel location is very convenient. Everything is walking distance. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room is decent size and clean. I wish the rooftop was open during our stays because the rooftop closes Sunday and Monday. I highly recommend the hotel if you want to stay in the city.

Kim, May and James were exceptional staff that went above and beyond to cater to our needs. The room was clean and the hotel had a modern feel to it. The rooftop bar was okay, drinks could have been better and they played the same type of music all night, no variety. All in all we had a great stay.

Glad I booked this property. The room looked like the pictures. Room was clean aside from a stray hair or 2 in the bathroom and on the towels. Shower had a funny mildew odor. Room was spacious and 2nd floor lounge was an added bonus. I was pleased to find a mini fridge in the room because I didn’t see that listed in the details. Staff was friendly and gave fortune cookies and bottled water upon arrival. Rooftop bar has a nice vibe and view. Would stay at this hotel again.

Great location near Chinatown! Very accessible to all transportation. The rooms and bathroom are good size. My only complaint is when you are taking the shower the water is slow to drain. They had a great lounge area inside and an outside patio where you can relax and chill

Excellent hotel. Staff so helpful & friendly, nothing too much trouble. Beautiful room, good size for 4 of us. Great rooftop bar, amazing views of the city. Lovely free tea & coffee served on 2nd floor during the day. Positioned really well to explore the city, away from hustle & bustle. Overall, this was a nice hotel for our stay in NYC. The biggest issue I have is the “Manhattan Bridge” view we booked and paid extra. The view we got was just of the entrance ramp to the bridge and not the bridge itself, so definitely misleading. Our room probably did have a view of the actual bridge back before 1975 when the large building blocking the view was built.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel 50 Bowery. It was easy to find and very easy to get a cab / Uber. The closest subway entrances are a 7 to 10 minute walk depending on where you're going. We felt the rooms were good size considering its NYC. They were very clean and housekeeping came every day except our last, but we didn't leave the room until around 12:30 that day so perhaps we just missed them. We were happy to get a room on the 20th floor (top) with a great view. We could hear some noise once in a while but overall it was very quiet and we had no trouble sleeping. The front desk was extremely friendly and helpful. Checking in and out was quick and easy! The only cons were minimal and more of a personal preference vs an issue with the hotel: - the bed and sheets were a bit stiff but again that's just a personal preference - would've been nice to have some hooks around the room to hang things. There's a small closet with hangers but some hooks would've made things more convenient (esp for coats and bags) - the ledge in the shower is teeny tiny so not really any room for anything except the little travel size toiletries they provide. Biggest pros: - awesome staff, friendly & helpful! - decent sized room & bathroom for NYC - clean / daily housekeeeping - quiet! - good location relative to ease of getting a cab & walking distance to subway stations

Very cute boutique hotel on the edge of Chinatown and Little Italy and Lower East side. Amazing customer service from a very warm and welcoming staff starting the Allen at the front desk and of course Kim who does everything (I think he must be one of 3 identical pony-tailed triplets because he is literally everywhere all at once and unbelievable efficient and always with a smile). I love this hotel and highly recommend it.

Specifically booked this special deal due to the 1pm check out ahead of a ~20 hour flight. This late check out was offered/confirmed on check in. Door knocked repeatedly from 9.30am the following morning before a rude phone call from reception at 12.15pm saying I needed to have checked out by 11am. Reception staff clearly need to talk to each other/record what’s been agreed & some lessons in customer service wouldn’t go amiss too. Shame as the hotel itself was great location, rooms wise etc.

Good morning, our room was subject to a break in at two occasions. The night manager Dan promisses me a full refund for our two nights as we had to change hotel. No one has yet to call me back with the refund details as promised. Our family is in complete shock as to what hapened in the middle of the night.

Great location, service, and room quality. Loved how they catered to us with a toddler - the rooms are big for NYC, and the bed extremely comfortable. I think its a great location if you are spending time in Chinatown, or around the business district / visiting freedom tower, or taking a ferry to Brooklyn. Great views too!

I call the front desk that ask for tissue paper box on 8/27 about 6:30pm, but I don’t know why the guy hand up the phone, and didn’t call me back, any reason he hand up the phone, he should call me to see what I need or help, very disappointed.

Everyone was so sincere and friendly, from beginning to end, even after check out. When we checked in, there was a woman, she was so friendly and everything was so quick. The rooms were clean and spacious for NYC. The location was great! Close to the subway, great food, things to do and see, etc. We stayed for 2 nights. The hotel manager, I believe his name was James, was so helpful and friendly. The baggage person was the same. As someone who appreciates customer service, this hotel was absolutely Top Notch. I would stay here again.

The hotel was extremely conveniently placed right in the heart of Chinatown. It was so close to every parts of Chinatown markets and amazing eats. It was also pleasantly close to the Manhattan Bridge which was a beautiful site. I didn't know if the hotel's name was Hotel 50 Bowery, or the Crown. Either or sounds nice. The room was aesthetically pleasing. The first night I got there though, I thought the hallways were awfully dim. I got an accessible room, and it was definitely accessible alright. The bad thing about the room was how low the shower curb was so that water was a hassle because it either escaped or overflowed somehow. We needed a massive amount of towels to dampen the area, but even after a mountain of towels, it was still wet and had some sort of water build up. Everything else for the room was fine. It could've been on a higher floor, but it still got a good view of the Manhattan Bridge. They kept providing us with water, and had a cool second floor guest public lobby which also had a good glimpse of the Manhattan Bridge and Chinatown Buddist temple. It was an overall good stay. They could've had youtube connection in the TV, but it's okay with all the different varieties of channels that they had.

The views from the room were amazing. Walkable distance to multiple underground stops. Also, lots of restaurants and shops nearby. Breakfast was not buffet (as mentioned in Expedia), but a coupon was sent each morning to order from an online menu. The quality of the breakfast was very good though.

Top notch staff and service. Clean rooms and premises. Fairly priced. So, what could be better? 1. The plastic covering under the bedsheet... noisy! Is it really necessary? 2. Elevators are so dark, we guests needed our cellphone lights to see the floor numbers. 3. No restaurant/cafe/room service. This is what kept the property from an 'excellent'rating.

Amazing!! 10/10. After a long day of travel and entertainment, where I lay my head, even for one night is so important to me. Upon entering the hotel I was greeted so kindly and enthusiastically by the front desk, who also processed my room swiftly and adeptly. The hotel was immaculate and beautifully decorated, and the room was the perfect size with great lighting and space. Had everything one would need and the location was really great as it’s surrounded by all the things I needed. The bed was comfy and the breakfast was really nice too with a beautiful view of the city on the rooftop. Every team member we interacted with just so pleasant I really would gladly stay here again.

We liked that we were in Chinatown and close to Little Italy. It had amazing views from the roof top bar. What we didn't like was we found out on our last day leaving for one last picture from there that there was a free breakfast for guests! A whole buffet! We asked if it was for a special party? They said no, for all guests. No one ever told us checking in and didn't see it online. Seemed like a miss cause they told us there was tea and coffee on 2nd floor each am. Very confusing. Other thing is elevator is very dark no matter what time of day and hallways.

Hotel and staff were amazing. Would definitely stay here again if ever in New York again! Roof top bar has an amazing view and great drinks but management there was awful and unpleasant. I would recommend going up there for one drink to see the view of the city and then leaving because they do not treat customers well.
