Stayed 1 night

The room appeared to be quaint and clean. However, when we opened the small refrigerator, there was a can of beer and a cooler drink inside. This means the entire room was not cleaned properly. Also, the water in the bathroom sink was luke warm at best. We let it run for about 30 seconds but it did not get warmer. The charge on line was $60 a night, with an added charge for our dog (which I completely understand and had NO problem with). However, the $60 charge became $108 before the added charge. When questioned, they could not explain. The breakfast the next morning was coffee, juice, cereal, several types of breads and fruit. It was a cold morning and hot breakfast of some wort would have been better. I realize with only 3 couples in the place limits what is made, but not the healthiest of meals. My only other recommendation would be to replace the old spring mattresses on the beds. They were not very comfortable. On the plus side, the room itself was neat, clean (except for the fridge), staff was more than friendly and very welcoming, the Inn was quiet and homey feeling. It was a nice experience to stay there rather than a large hotel chain.

This historic property is beautiful. When you enter from the front you are visually stunned by the beautiful staircase leading up to the generous second floor landing. Our room was large & very clean. The bathroom was also very large & decorated with vintage wicker pieces. We were grateful that this inn was dog friendly & offered a fenced in area where our dog could be safely off lead. There was a restaurant / pub space conveniently located down on the main floor with a very good selection of food & drink. While we did enjoy our stay, it was unfortunately a bit noisy. The screen door at the front of the hotel slams shut with a tremendously loud bang. This is a popular venue for weddings and other gatherings so there can be crowds of people & loud music.
