The hotel is very dated and is badly in need of refurbishment. The pool area is pleasant but was constantly busy. I have been travelling for over 40 years and never have I seen people queuing to get a sun bed. The fact there isn’t enough explains it I suppose. One thing that really miffed me is a family left rubbish behind, pizza box, coke cans etc. The rubbish lay for over 3 hours before being cleaned up, not acceptable. We found, on occasion the staff to be rude and abrupt. On the positive side, the kiddies entertainment is excellent. Will we stay there again, not a chance.

The hotel is huge and beautiful in all white,great Wi-Fi, 3 pools,i love that the hotel sit on a slight slopes which forces me now to get back in the gym,the walk about is great exercise getting back up.straff are friendly and helpful, i would recommend and i would go back again. I nearly for got the beach is 19 min walk,but if you don't want to walk in that sun which is hottt they do a shuttle every hour which start at 10:15.food is great and the bed is firm.

Places close by to eat, drink and shop. However taxi's needed to get back from Los Cristianos centre as the hill and even the stairs up to the complex are massive. There is a shop on site as well as a spa, nail salon and hairdressers. Pool areas are nice, we used the lower pool as it was quieter and the last 2 days we got cabanas at Pool 3, which is good value for money in my opinion.

Please bring back the original all Cuban entertainment team. The current team did not hit the mark compared. The weekly towel change is very poor as towels get wet and dirty every day. The move from daily to weekly is not helpful. Love the gym and SPA. As an owner we are always treated very well and have our requests met. Jon on reception (the original crew) is always helpful and welcoming. Thank you

Although it’s a 25 min walk to the front the taxis are quick and inexpensive. There were 6 of us and there are plenty of 6 seaters so this was a pleasant surprise. Pool is great. Sunbed frenzy every morning but in school holidays we decided to just join in and accept this. Had to wait in a queue from 8am until 9am to ensure a sunbed in school holiday. Self catering but well equipped. Very comfortable bed, good and powerful shower and large terrace with a sea view. Could not fault this trip. Only wish would be that it was closer to the seafront and bars but I would 100% stay here again. We didn’t try the food. Drinks were average prices €3.50 pint of beer. Lovely heated pool.

Apartments big and clean , evenings entertainment bad suitable for toddlers only very loud music . Food was good but drink even water was not included in dinner , breakfast tea and juice was terrible juicec was either too sweet or watery . A main thing is that teens under 18 should be allowed in the gym if accompanied by an adult or if they have good prior gym knowledge as my son has been going to the gym for a year and has never been unsafe in the gym and knows what is safe to do and not but wasn't let in.dinner staff will force you to buy drinks even you are not ready to order. There was no commen area to sit where AC is we check out at 12cand flight was not until evening so just keep in mind there is not any comfortable area to sit in .The hotel is at hill be aware if can not walk uphill .

Accueil sympathique et efficace. Nous occupions la chambre 3110, très propre et agréable si ce n'est que la deuxième chambre a une fenêtre qui donne sur le couloir (sans clarté, avec le bruit des passages). Une belle terrasse qui reçoit très peu de soleil mais des transats quand même :-). Si vous cherchez du bruit dès 7h00 du matin jusqu^'à 23h00 vous êtes au bon endroit (camion qui déchargent des bouteilles et autres, camions qui chargent des poubelles ou des panier à linge métalliques qui sont lancés sur le pont du camion, femme de ménage qui poussent leur seau, voisins sur les balcons qui ne font attention à personne, musique à la piscine vraiment on a été gâtées). Le ménage et le change du linge et des poubelles est fait une fois par semaine, si vous payez une serviette de piscine 5 euros non remboursable vous n'avez droit qu'à un change par semaine. Une fleur pour Julie à la réception qui nous a répondu très gentiment.

Considering we had to move on the second day because of being infested with cockroaches (even in the bed). The balcony door wouldnt lock and the safe didnt work so had to take all our valuables around with us!! I will be officially complaining and requesting a refund

Appartment (mit Balkon und) mit Küche, die gerade ausreichend ausgestalt ist (uns hat aber ein scharfes Messer gefehlt). Wurde jede 3 Tage saubergemacht (vollig ausreichend für uns). Im Flur leider auch (da haben wir mehrmal Kakerlaken entdeckt, was aber wahrscheinlich normal ist für Unterkünfte in ein warmes Klima. Nette Pools (3 Kinderbecken) und Events (leider Abends zu spät für die nicht so große Kindern, die schon um 20 Uhr schlafen). Internationales Frühstücksbuffet hat für jeden was dabei. Fitnessraum relativ klein, aber in Los Cristianos sind draußen Sportstange. Ecke des Insels sehr touristisch, aber eben immer schönes Wetter und schöne Strände (mit stundige Schuttle vom Hotel organisiert).

We have stayed at Hollywood Mirage many times before and I would always recommend paying a little extra for the sea view. Standards of cleanliness and maintenance of the resort is not as good as it used to be but is still above many competitors. Our kettle kept blowing the flat fuse box but on bringing it to the attention of reception staff it was replaced in 15 minutes!

Room was not cleaned, blood on the bathroom door, the handle, the walls, on a unit and kitchen area. Cleaning staff was on the only helpful and apologetic one. Reception were not helpful, no upgrade, apology, discount nothing- just, we can move you if we have the same room. Disgraceful and we had an 8 year old child with us. Worried we touched something with blood on it. That should be an immediate room change and some form of apology and compensation. First time visit there, too. Was off putting but the overall hotel and location were nice but that experience was off putting at first. Family have stayed there before and enjoyed. I was disappointed with reception. They stated- well, people don’t tell us they have done this. We waited a few hours for our room and got it around 4 on, after being told that it was being cleaned and prepared for us, so that did not make sense. Would like the hotel to contact us about this.

One advice - AVOID THIS HOTEL This hotel has its best times well over. Outdated rooms, furniture and equipment are not its biggest problem though. The "cleanliness" is appaling. I have never seen a hotel room this unkempt and filthy. No surprise it's a paradise for cockroaches - the one in our bathroom was a really good size. Housekeeping is non-existing in this "hotel" (hostel would be more appropriate although I think that even hostels have better hygiene standards than this "4* hotel"). I think the housekeepers just wipe all rooms and floors with one and same mop/cloth as after the "cleaning" (occurs once a week) there were even more varieties of hair and dirt than before (I initially cleaned the room myself (and especially the bathroom) after our arrival as it was not possible to stay there otherwise) so I had to clean again after the cleaners' visit. Having seen other reviews with exactly the same theme, I understood that complaining was futile. Even my two sons (11 and 10) who are certainly not the tidiest people in the world noticed the dirty bathroom sinks and kitchen counter shortly after we arrived. Nothing could ever outweigh this. Besides this, the hotel is old, half of the furnite is broken or falling apart, staff at the reception are superslow and not very helpful and the bathroom was really small (and sooo dirty!) considering the size of the whole room. Beds on wheels are just a cherry on the top of this disaster mirage.

3rd time I've stayed here this year. Still good but definitely feel that standards are slipping. Most units are in need of maintenance and updating. We stayed in 3430 and the balcony door would not lock shut and the bathroom door caught on the floor. Lots of broken tiles in apartment and around pool area.

Vi hadde en fantastisk uke på Hollywood Mirage. Leiligheten var ren og fin, alt så bra ut.Topp service fra personell også. Eneste minuset er harde senger, det var alt fra rommet som ikke sto helt til forventningene. Oppsummert så kommer vi gjerne tilbake ved en annen anledning.

The room was spacious and clean, however right on the road where noisy trucks pass by. The reception is not aware of the fact the hotel charges you a deposit fee of a certain sum of euros ( in your local currency) at check in. When they asked for my card at check in, I was assured I woint be charged . The charge appeared on my account a week after check in and nobody in the hotel could explain it. I contacted Expedia and they confirmed. I hope that charge would be remittted soon.

Beautiful property. Excellent front office service, walkable to beaches, restaurants,shopping & attractions. Accomodations roomy and well laid out, but does require updating. Finishes/furnishings worn & tired. Buffet restaurant provides options, but menu never changes. Restaurant service is hectic & disorganized. Menu stations, coffee stations require better. maintenance and quicker replenishing. 8/10, but could be 10/10 with some attention.

From the moment we checked in, and offered advice about the initially allocated room not being as suitable due to our one year old, to the moment we checked out everyone was great. The lift could be a little hit and miss sometimes, but again when staff were close by they were happy to help. On site supermarket maybe be small but has all the essentials. The hotel is at the rear of the Los Cristianos therefore is at the top of some steep roads. We were all fine and managed with our pushchair however if your party is not reasonably fit or struggle with hills book a taxi or another hotel. If travelling as a family we'd look to stay at Hollywood Mirage again.

Nous avons séjourné deux nuits au Ona Hollywood Mirage après une croisière. Le début du séjour s’est bien passé : l’établissement est agréable, propre et bien entretenu, et la chambre était confortable. En revanche, notre dernière journée a été très décevante. Un mot laissé sous notre porte annonçait une coupure de courant le matin du départ, en précisant que l’éclairage, le téléphone et le réfrigérateur resteraient fonctionnels. Le lendemain, nous avons découvert que ce n’était pas du tout le cas : plus aucune lumière, ce qui rendait difficile de finir nos valises ou de se préparer ; pas d’eau, alors que cela n’était absolument pas mentionné ; pas de Wi-Fi, ce qui complique l’organisation d’un départ. Cela a rendu la fin du séjour très inconfortable, notamment pour prendre une douche avant le check-out. La réception s’est limitée à répondre que “c’est à cause des travaux”, sans solution ni excuse. Autre point important : l’hôtel était extrêmement bruyant, avec beaucoup d’enfants courant et criant dans les couloirs et les espaces communs, sans aucune intervention du personnel, ce qui retirait tout aspect reposant au séjour. En résumé : un cadre agréable et propre, mais une gestion très approximative des travaux, une communication insuffisante et une ambiance trop bruyante pour un séjour serein.

We enjoyed our stay here - this is our second visit and we were in 2 rooms. This time our rooms were much smaller and basic though and we weren't aware we had booked differently. We used pool 3, and love lifeguard Victor who appears to love his job, very friendly and helpful beyond what he needs to be (whilst we were in the pool he moved our water bottles out the sun and into the shade for example). He made sure everyone had loungers where they wanted. A real asset to this hotel! The location is a bit far out but that's why its better value. We used taxis to get to main areas and walked the seafront. Chose no breakfast this time as previously found the restaurant good but crowded. The shop did warm pastries which we had on the balconies instead. We have and would stay here again.

Stayed here many times and still love it. Properties a little tired and could do with modernising but still nice. Staff strike on Thurs /Fri caused a bit of disruption and a made a lot of noise. Poor communication about this and Spa wasn't open to get a shower before we left!

Arrived about lunch time after a long day travelling. Check In is 4pm. Paid an extra £30 per room to check in early. Disgusting considering it was sat there empty upon our arrival and the holiday was already paid for. Just thought this was pure greed and for that reason I would never stay again

Friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms really good sized and well equipped. Beds very comfy. Good pool area, bar prices good. Free bus to and from beach with friendly drivers. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you Darrell & Sarah

We stayed for a week and absolutely loved it. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the Hotel itself was so clean with lots of facilities. The apartment was really spacious with an open plan kitchen diner lounge area. Again all very clean and welcoming. The food in the hotel was really nice and plenty of choice. Would highly recommend a stay for either a couple or family.

The hotel was really nice. Clean. Nice staff. They sorted a few room issues straight away. Only let down was there was no entertainment on the Thursday and Friday except for a dinning singer. Other than that the entertainment was really good. Los Cristianos was a 25 minute walk as it is all up hill on the way back. But the hotel put on hourly nurses in th day time.

Booked a 2 bed apartment which was clean and very spacious. Pools and social areas all very clean and well presented. The only thing that lets the hotel down is the food. Food tasted great but even when going in when it just opened it was mainly cold. From reading previous reviews we found the microwave which rescued the food, although this really shouldn't be necessary. Having said that, would recommend the hotel as a whole.

Wij hadden een 2 kamer appartement wat groot was met 2 badkamers. De kamers zijn wel gedateerd. Wel alles aanwezig. Ook een supermarkt op het terrein. Ontbijt was redelijk voor een 4sterren. Er stond alleen smorgens een file bij het koffiezetapparaat. Er stonden er meerdere waarom gooien ze die niet open? De rest van het hotel prima maar niet uitstekend.

Overall it was comfortable with a spacious apartment and a nice terrace. There were sufficient sunbeds by the pools. The free shuttle bus to the beach was useful as it's a steep clime back to the hotel. However the breakfast was a bun fight, constantly running out of cups, plates, food, drinks, the cooked food was cold. It was positively dangerous by the hot water ern as it was flooded and was an electrical extension in the water !

Good property with all the amenities you need. Would say for half board to have more options for dinner seeing as it is a 4 star hotel and choices were basic and limited. Breakfast was great! The food was okay, not the greatest for vegetarian choices but lovely if you like eating fish and pork everyday. The Wednesday nights you have to pay extra for bbq night which I thought was silly as you have already paid for your food but can’t get it unless you pay extra so have no choice to either pay or go elsewhere. Some days there was chicken which was absolutely lovely and the staff were incredible for sure. I would say please put signs on the food as sometimes there were no signs and people don’t know what the food is or don’t know if they can eat it. Also don’t put wrong signs when the dish says veg minestrone soup but is clearly a soup with chunks of red meat? Great, free shuttle from the hotel to the beach and also a lot of the activities did free shuttle included which was in partner with the hotel so overall great. Would say try to pack lighter as it is hilly and dragging your suitcase to the rooms can be big work hahaha especially when it’s hot. Overall great stay and would come again if the food was up to standard with better variety.

Dinner buffet below awful. Read other reviews - you'll find the same impression. I feel very sorry for the wasted fruits, vegs and meat. I don't know how it's even possible to cook that bad, is it intentional so guests aren't eating much? Morissons savers frozen meals would taste better. Also, for the dinner you'd need to pay for water, 2.4EUR. Apart of that hotel was ok. They claim to have 4 starts but hey, they change linen every 3 days, the consumer unit makes sound like a tractor, the pool is barely heated(although during "inspection" it was 25deg), the dishes and cups are often dirty. If you go there don't expect anything. Pros: The staff is nice and welcoming.

It wasn't worth the price. The breakfast was good with plenty of choices, though the cleanliness left something to be desired. The room wasn't clean—at least not to the naked eye—and there were cockroaches in it. When you mention it at reception, they act as if it’s normal. I could understand that if the room cost less than 50 euros, but not when you're paying more. Even if the staff considers it normal, I’m a guest and I don't want that; it would be nice if things were actually cleaned. The pool was clean, though, and there was plenty of entertainment. The staff needs to speak better English.
