Top notch. From the beautiful hotel, to the staff, to the comfortable rooms. The room was quiet and the area felt safe and walkable with several great restaurants in the area. Also, convenient to the airport. We had happy hour on the roof top and then breakfast (included) in the morning. They also have a minibar in the library for you to sit and relax with. I would recommend and cannot wait to come back. The staff really stood out!

An exceptional hotel, with first-rate staff - I really can’t say enough about how friendly, attentive and helpful all of the staff members we dealt with were. Very close to the Lastarria bars and restaurants, with more than ample options for dining out and/or afternoon/evening drinks. The rooftop patio is a particular highlight.

My experience at Hotel Magnolia in Santiago was excellent from the start. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to ensure a superb stay. The room was spacious, immaculate, with very high ceilings. The hotel's rooftop and restaurant were highlights, providing good food, drinks, and a pleasant atmosphere for socializing. I absolutely loved this hotel. The location is perfect with a short stroll to restaurants, Santa Lucia and great restaurants. The staff were very friendly and the room was spacious and really comfy. I slept so well. I returned here for a second stay on my way back from Brazil.

The Magnolia is a charming looking boutique hotel in a good location. However the hotel's aim to be stylish and chic is, to some extent, at the cost of practicality. We had a reasonable size room but the lighting was terrible, no USB ports, only a few hangers, a shower set up which sprayed the rest of the bathroom, sink stopper didn't work, no info in the room about the hotel and one working channel on the TV! Check in not very welcoming. The rest of the staff were great and the Terrace restaurant was lovely. So, some good some bad.

To start let me say Magnolia lived up to the expectations we have at this price point (about 250/night). Tasteful interior, good in-room hardware and good service. Location is very good for short term visits to Santiago. Some minor criticisms: 1. at this price level would expect rooftop bar staff to be able to explain the wine offering 2. the glass bathroom slide doors bear (too) little privacy when traveling as a couple 3. service during breakfast seemed sometimes a bit too intrusive - some people prefer to make and collect their coffee / toast etc individually, and it got a bit chaotic when staff collected table orders of 3-4 cappuccinos and produced these in the nespresso self service area. Better solution would be to offer selfservice only or produce such orders at a separate location (eg in kitchen) 4. beyond 200 eur / night would expect at least a small subsection of snacks/drinks to be free of charge 5. Contacted the hotel via hotels.com message about 12 hours ahead of check in, message had not been read until our arrival. 6. Noisy aircondition Except for these small points we very much enjoyed our stay!

I highly recommend Hotel Magnolia…it is a very special boutique hotel and a new favorite of mine! The style of the hotel is truly unique and beautiful; it maintains much of the architecture of the original mansion built in 1929 and adds a new, innovative, bold, modern design. My room was spacious, elegant and comfortable. The hotel is well located and convenient to many sights and dining options. The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful, The only small issue was that there was only one receptionist and no concierge in the mornings during the 3 days of my stay, and that did not seem to be enough to adequately handle arrivals, departures, and other assistance needed by guests. I definitely would like to stay at this hotel again and hope to do so in the future!

It is a very cool historic property that’s been upgraded with a contemporary addition. The concept is terrific, and the staff is very attentive, but seems like the mechanical infrastructure is getting a little tired. Our heating and cooling system never worked during our stay, though they brought us a floor fan. Also, the hot water seemed to fluctuate quite a bit. Both the in-house restaurant and Demo (the fancy restaurant on premise) are both very good Bottom line, we still enjoyed our stay, but some additional maintenance to the facility would probably go along way and give it a full five star rating

The hotel was beautiful- an old mansion wonderful restored. We loved the roof top garden and the lobby area to sit and have a glass of wine. The front desk, bell man and concierge were all excellent- very helpful, efficient, professional and with a smile. The room was very nice but the Wifi was a little iffy and the A/C quite loud. But other than that a great place to stay.

We spent 4 nights here for New Years before we flew to Argentina for our Antarctica expedition. It was a good choice as it was convenient to our walking tours and restaurants. The hotel was clean although the AC inside our room was a bit warm even though we ask for the temperature to be lowered. The front desk and staff were very kind and helpful. We did however, have an issue with the hotel charging $125 a person for their New Year’s party which was on the rooftop but had the basic food menu for dinner. Since there is not a fireworks display in Santiago and most places around town shut down early , we felt the hotel was taking advantage of its guests. Pair that with the event coordinator, who was extremely rude and pushy, then I would say it ruined what was otherwise a nice week stay.

The staff are exceptional. Rangiroa Tuki is an excellent concierge. He was extremely helpful in securing tours to Santa Rita winery and Valparaiso. This boutique hotel is centrally located with restaurants two blocks away. I highly recommend this hotel.

Service was excellent in all aspects, from arranging transport from airport to rooftop bar/restaurant. Room was comfortable, shower good and provided a breakfast box as we were leaving early to airport. They are minding our bags until we return from Easter Island in 4 days time. We will stay with them again when we return.

I highly recommend Hotel Magnolia…it is a very special boutique hotel and a new favorite of mine! The hotel was fine. Clean, nice, and modern. Hotel is within walking distance to most city center activities and landmarks. Make sure to do your research because there are some “tough” areas of town you might want to avoid. We walked everywhere without issue, but some tourists might want to beware. Hotel has security guard in day and locks doors with buzz in at night for extra security. The staff was present but not really warm or welcoming. We stayed 6 days and staff looked at us as strangers each time we entered the hotel. The security guards just stared at us upon entry. That was strange. The best staff was house cleaning team and bellman who helped us with our bags. The concierge was somewhat helpful but required a lot of follow up to confirm our needs and reservations were understood or met. My husband speaks fluent Spanish, so the lack of communication was strange. On New Year’s Eve, the same staff we’d seen for six days waited on us at the roof top dinner and FINALLY warmed up and were very pleasant that evening. Lastly, the hotel has a lot of nice seating areas and “cubby holes” to relax, read, have a drink. Those come in handy if you’re flight arrives early AM and you can’t checkin until 3PM. Our checkin was a bit challenging, staff seemed flustered and told us our room would be ready early (11:30AM), however, the room ended up being ready really late instead. 20 minutes after the 3PM checkin time and they seemed to have lost our checkin information when we returned

Already had the best room, so no upgrade. Very nice hotel, breakfast very good and the hotel is within walking distance from city center en next to Santa Lucía hill where Santiago was founded. I recommend this hotel had a great stay.

Staying at Hotel Magnolia was wonderful! Staff was friendly and fun, helpful beyond measure and provided excellent service!! We walked to many attractions with ease and no safety concerns. And when we were all walked out, we enjoyed cocktails and dinner on the beautiful rooftop looking at Santa Lucia hill. Highly recommend this little gem!

Nice enough, but not exceptional. I went because it had very high ratings but it simply isn’t exceptional. Room was comfortable enough - about average for its class - service and food were very average. Breakfast was a limited, average, and repetitive buffet. Small room that filled up quickly so no place to sit some days. No perks, just nothing very special. At that price point there are very good hotels nearby.
