Property was perfect. Minor ant issue towards the end of my stay, so cleaning products to sweep etc yourself would be recommended. Other than that, fantastic location! literal walking distance to anything you needed. Parking was a bit of a nightmare. Figured if you find a space with blue lines you can pay at a metre. The underground carpark for the hospital only takes cash and cost around €12 overnight. That was the only issue really. Other than that, apartment was cute, secure, aircon, powerful showers. If you struggle to walk the hill may become an issue but I rather enjoyed it to walk off all the food I’d consumed :)

A lot of walking up steep hill & no elevator, so not for everyone. Was good exercise. No reception person but when contacted cleaning lady she was delightful & helpful!

We loved our stay at Vila Toca. The rooms were clean, bright and comfortable. Easy to communicate with Bruno. Our room was cleaned every second day which was an added bonus! Steep hill to get to property but you get used to it! Nice little dip pool. We were expecting traffic noises but found they weren't that bad. Would definitely stay again. Thanks for everything!

It was for the most part clean and as expected from the pictures. I had some small ants in the bed in the evenings which was not fun. Also the bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable. The cleaning staff kept changing how I chose to air the studio. There should be a door handle sign to tell staff to not come, I didn't need them every other day. I wish I didn't have to set the hot and cold water, a lot of water wasting as I was trying to figure out the right temperature. Pool was very uninviting.

Nice place, unfortunately sometimes noisy at night and early morning. Also, we couldn’t find parking near the vila, so we had to park at the hospital, very nice parking, lots of spaces but almost 12 euros/day. It was ok, but should have been better to if we knew in advance about the parking situation.

Vi hade en trevlig vistelse med allt vi behövde i köksväg. Nära till busstationen och kusten. Det blev lite fuktigt i rummet när AC var avstängd, men det kanske är fullt normalt? Polområdet var inte jättebra men duger om man vill ta ett dopp. Sängen var inte den bästa enligt oss.

We arrived at the airport and caught the no.9 bus from directly outside the airport (€6 per person) to SavoyHotel. From there the apartment was just a short 5 minute walk up the hill. Upon arrival it was easy to gain entry following the instructions and the room was immaculately clean. A very large comfortable bed, small kitchen area, tv ,tidy toilet and shower room. Double doors opened out onto a lovely balcony overlooking the pool area.The apartment has good air conditioning and is regularly cleaned. There are various restaurants nearby but you will find nice local bars and restaurants in the back streets of Funchal Pingo Doce supermarket was not far away (around 15mins on foot) at PlazaMadeira and had very fresh groceries available. A local bus from just down the hill from the apartment, Ave luis de Camões took us out to the fabulous Curral das Freiras for a few euros each way. Well worth making a reservation at in town is the Infinite Wine Bar , which you have to make a reservation to visit but offered amazing food and fun service cooked by the owner. Ideal for a romantic evening in town Lovely place to stay all round

Hotellets utmärkta läge, centrum, bussar i närheten 1-5 minuter, stranden 20 minuters promenad. Restauranger, kaféer, mycket stort utbud. Historiska platser - lätta att ta sig till fots och med buss, allt finns i närheten. Hotellet är rent, personalen är utmärkt. En nackdel är lukten av fukt i rummet, men annars är allt toppen. Jag rekommenderar det.

It was for the most part clean and as expected from the pictures. I had some small ants in the bed in the evenings which was not fun. Also the bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable. The cleaning staff kept changing how I chose to air the studio. There should be a door handle sign to tell staff to not come, I didn't need them every other day. I wish I didn't have to set the hot and cold water, a lot of water wasting as I was trying to figure out the right temperature. Pool was very uninviting.

Logement agréable et très bien situé. Toutefois, le ménage n’est pas complet (pas de passage d’aspirateur etc…) et manque d’équipement pour le faire sois même. Mauvaise odeur due à la clim et humidité présente dans l’appartement. Malgré ça ce fut un très agréable séjour, bien équipé du côté cuisine et très très bien situé. Proche de toutes commodités et près de là voie rapide permettant de visiter d’autres lieux de l’île facilement et rapidement.

The location was very good, in walking distance of the old town. Excellent bed and good shower. Kitchen was basic, we were missing a towel and bin the first days. Could be cleaner at arrival and no cleaning during the weekend. Cleaning during stay was also sub par ( floor was not cleaned, even though it was visibly dirty, since we went hiking).

We had a lovely stay the communication has been excellent the apartment was clean with a daily maid coming in apartment is close to the Savoy hotel and excellent restaurants 10minute walk into the centre of Funchal or you can download the bolt app there version of Uber 3.75euros one way will differnatley go back highly recommend.

Das Zimmer war schön und gemütlich eingerichtet. Es gab auch eine voll ausgestattete Küchenzeile mit Mikrowelle, Herd, Wasserkocher, Pfannen, Besteck und Geschirr. Im Zimmer gab es allerdings einzelne Ameisen und das Fenster im Bad lies sich nicht schliessen. Aber alles in allem hatte ich einen tollen Aufenthalt.

Great place to stay for visiting visiting Funchal and the rest of Madeira. Restaurants, shops and seafront are all a short walk away. We were in room 11 which had a balcony over looking the small pool and sun loungers. The balcony is spacious with a table and chairs and a relaxer chair. The room itself is also spacious as is the bathroom which has complimentary shower gel. The bed is large and comfortable and the room is well lit. There is a fully equipped kitchenette, also a table and chairs inside, a chest of drawers. TV, hanging rails and hangers and a safe. We had a hire car for the duration of our stay. We managed to find a parking space but many of the spacious are marked for residents only so there are only a few that aren't. There is a small lobby as you come in the front door and a living area down stairs. Everything is spotlessly clean and with the exception of Sunday, our room was made up each day which we didn't expect. Tiny niggle, the towels are all a bit thin and sometimes you get traffic noise from the road but don't let that put you off as it's a lovely place to stay.

We loved Vila Toca. It was conveniently situated and within walking distance of shops, bus stops (including the airport bus) and the town centre. Our apartment had plenty of character. The balcony on the third floor was large and lovely for al fresco dining and had good Mountain Views. We also made good use of the swimming pool. The manager responded promptly, helpfully and courteously to messages. The lady who cleaned our room was very helpful and friendly. It was excellent value for money. Highly recommended.

Bien que spacieux et clair, il manquait une poubelle et un siège, la connection wifi pas toujours là, pas d'armoire pour pendre les vêtements, eau chaude dans la SDB longtemos à venir et difficile de regler les robinets Le gros inconvénient est le bruit extérieur même la nuit car pas d'isolation phonique suffisante

Location was an easy bolt ride to the main city, or walkable if you're up for a good walk. Location was walkable to some restaurants and cafes by the main road. The AC in our room didn't work, but we did not worry or complain since the weather was nice with the windows. Looking back we should have said something because it was a very, *very* noisy street next to us. But we slept just fine.

Great place to stay for visiting visiting Funchal and the rest of Madeira. Restaurants, shops and seafront are all a short walk away. We were in room 11 which had a balcony over looking the small pool and sun loungers. The balcony is spacious with a table and chairs and a relaxer chair. The room itself is also spacious as is the bathroom which has complimentary shower gel. The bed is large and comfortable and the room is well lit. There is a fully equipped kitchenette, also a table and chairs inside, a chest of drawers. TV, hanging rails and hangers and a safe. We had a hire car for the duration of our stay. We managed to find a parking space but many of the spacious are marked for residents only so there are only a few that aren't. There is a small lobby as you come in the front door and a living area down stairs. Everything is spotlessly clean and with the exception of Sunday, our room was made up each day which we didn't expect. We loved Vila Toca. It was conveniently situated and within walking distance of shops, bus stops (including the airport bus) and the town centre. Our apartment had plenty of character. The balcony on the third floor was large and lovely for al fresco dining and had good Mountain Views. We also made good use of the swimming pool. The manager responded promptly, helpfully and courteously to messages. The lady who cleaned our room was very helpful and friendly. It was excellent value for money. Highly recommended.

Fantastic spot in Funchal! The unit was very clean, it was quiet and tranquil. The pool was such an amazing treat during hot days. The unit is very close to the city center and there are many great restaurant options nearby. We always got parking close by. Manager was proactive with communication and very helpful with any questions.

The property was as described, Bruno was very responsive and tha apartment had everything we needed. Only negative was that housekeeping was advertised as daily when in fact bins were only emptied every 2 days.

We had a lovely stay the communication has been excellent the apartment was clean with a daily maid coming in apartment is close to the Savoy hotel and excellent restaurants 10minute walk into the centre of Funchal or you can download the bolt app there version of Uber 3.75euros one way will differnatley go back highly recommend.

Beautiful property! Big room with traditional feel. Lovely and clean! Amazing property manager and cleaner, both incredibly helpful and kind! Both went the extra mile! Property is 10 minute up hill but we knew this before booking and it wasn’t a problem for us personally!

Property was perfect. Minor ant issue towards the end of my stay, so cleaning products to sweep etc yourself would be recommended. Other than that, fantastic location! literal walking distance to anything you needed. Parking was a bit of a nightmare. Figured if you find a space with blue lines you can pay at a metre. The underground carpark for the hospital only takes cash and cost around €12 overnight. That was the only issue really. Other than that, apartment was cute, secure, aircon, powerful showers. If you struggle to walk the hill may become an issue but I rather enjoyed it to walk off all the food I’d consumed :)

Hotellets utmärkta läge, centrum, bussar i närheten 1-5 minuter, stranden 20 minuters promenad. Restauranger, kaféer, mycket stort utbud. Historiska platser - lätta att ta sig till fots och med buss, allt finns i närheten. Hotellet är rent, personalen är utmärkt. En nackdel är lukten av fukt i rummet, men annars är allt toppen. Jag rekommenderar det.

We arrived at the airport and caught the no.9 bus from directly outside the airport (€6 per person) to SavoyHotel. From there the apartment was just a short 5 minute walk up the hill. Upon arrival it was easy to gain entry following the instructions and the room was immaculately clean. A very large comfortable bed, small kitchen area, tv ,tidy toilet and shower room. Double doors opened out onto a lovely balcony overlooking the pool area.The apartment has good air conditioning and is regularly cleaned. There are various restaurants nearby but you will find nice local bars and restaurants in the back streets of Funchal Pingo Doce supermarket was not far away (around 15mins on foot) at PlazaMadeira and had very fresh groceries available. A local bus from just down the hill from the apartment, Ave luis de Camões took us out to the fabulous Curral das Freiras for a few euros each way. Well worth making a reservation at in town is the Infinite Wine Bar , which you have to make a reservation to visit but offered amazing food and fun service cooked by the owner. Ideal for a romantic evening in town Lovely place to stay all round
