Great location, great breakfast buffet. The room furniture was a bit strange. Two low bedside shelves only a couple of inches off the floor. You had to crawl around on the floor to plug in phone chargers on the bottom of the shelf. Of course there was an outlet on the desk with 2 plug pirts and several USB ports. The bed was comfortable. You have to walk up some steps with your luggage to get to reception, then down some steps to get to the elevators. All in all, a great stay.

The dining rom is one of the most stunning rooms I have seen in my life! Reception and everywhere else is just average compared to the dining room. Great location, central to everything and they serve a really nice buffet breakfast. The service is ok, but we tried calling the front desk multiple times but no one answers. There is no concierge which seemed odd for a higher end property.

A l'arrivee, personne pour vous aider à monter les marches avec vos bagages, Personne pour vous accompagner avec vos valises. Pas de produits d'accueil, il faut aller les demander... Pas de service de restauration en chambre et le restaurant ferme à 21h00... Dommage si vous arrivez après 21h00.

One of the staff members was very rude. The room was not that clean and found a blood stain that was old. House keeping did not do a thorough cleaning. Had to ask for extra towels, toilet paper and tissue. Overpriced for the stay.

The carpets are so stained & worn out everywhere. It looks dingy & dirty. The bathroom is the nicest room in the hotel. The room did not have enough lighting . The price we paid is a lot for a not so nice hotel!The staff were very helpful .The fridge wasn’t working. The hotel is very difficult to navigate. I should have taken a picture to prove what I said. It’s close to everything but not a nice place to stay.

Gorgeous breakfast vibes and food options, Nice high ceiling double window room overlook the city. The shower curtain is really filthy . Looks like never replaced or cleaned. Gym room TV can not be turned on. Asked for help but he only tried couple buttons and rushed to something else never returned.

Possibly the best breakfast buffet I’ve ever had. The space breakfast hall is the former stock exchange of Norway and is quite a lovely spot. Room was clean, with all we needed, and the hotel staff were always friendly and helpful. The location is within walking distance of all the big sights of Bergen. Would wholeheartedly recommend it!

The hotel is located in the heart of the city and is perfect for exploring it. Additionally there are amazing historic frescoes in the restaurant. Our only negatives is that we had silverfish in the room.

I booked a standard single room. It was small and dark. More like a motel room. No view and old plain furniture. At the rate I paid I felt cheated. But the worst part was the bathroom tiles had mildew and mold between them. And the toilet was dirty.

Very nice hotel. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Knock-out breakfast in jaw-dropping room every morning. The only downside was our room was ho-hum, and had badly stained carpet (a no-no for a hotel of this class).

A beautiful, smart and extremely well presented hotel with very helpful staff, a lovely buffet breakfast in the mornings and a fancy restaurant with very good food. Our room was clean and comfortable and we had a really nice stay. Would definitely recommend.

Rommet var et standard rom. Fint fargevalg på vegger i mørke toner. Vegg til veggteppe var mørkt og flekkete! Det bør fjernes og erstattes av lyst tregulv. Vinduene, 2 stk, var veldig små. Lite lys kom inn herfra. Lampene i rommet hadde alle veldig dårlig lys. Prøvde å lete etter dimmer, men fant ingen. Møblement og seng i mørk brun farge. Et veldig mørkt og dystert rom! Det eneste som imponerte meg var Frescohallen! Og beliggenheten!

The Bergen Bors is a gorgeous hotel in a fabulous historical building. The dining room is really beautiful and the staff very nice. My complaint was s with the rooms. Although I had a very large room, I think for the price they charge it definitely needs updating. Stained carpet in an almost $300 per night room is a total turn off. I would recommend you invest in new flooring preferably that is not carpeted !!

Bergen Børs was a treat to myself and it didn't impress me. I would not stay again. The room was lovely but the only outlet was on the desk. I can't remember the last time a hotel I stayed at didn't have an outlet next to the bed so that you can charge your phone. That was disappointing. One of the towels also had a bright red stain that looked very much like blood. Eck. Otherwise the room was large. The bed was comfy. The bathroom had heated floors. The bathroom needs a few more hooks though. The breakfast buffet is in a stunning room. There were no labels on any of the food including allergen labels which I had become accustomed to seeing in Norway. I have a fairly severe food allergy. I had to ask a staff member about basically everything I ate, which could so easily be changed. No espresso machine. The coffee was crap. The buffet was expansive and quite good once I knew what was safe to eat. The best part of the hotel was its location.

The hotel was very nice, but the room was a bit small and the bathroom was especially small with very little storage space. The "open concept" shower led to everything around the bathroom getting splashed and soaked. The star of the hotel is the breakfast buffet -- it was delicious and had everything one could ask for.

First off, it’s a gorgeous building in the perfect location in Bergen. The Freschohalle and BARE are both exceptional, and the staff are great. There were some several minor room issues to point out however. We had a loft suite. If you are more than about 180cm/70in, don’t get a loft suite. You have to duck everywhere. The shower is open to the whole bathroom, so water gets everywhere. There is also a lack of space to place anything in the bathroom. The plugs aren’t in particularly convenient locations, and the lighting leaves a lot to be desired. There are no “do not disturb” signs for the door either. We usually like late mornings but we were interrupted by the cleaning lady a couple of times. I’d still recommend it, but it’s more 4 star than 5. Still a very good hotel.

Brilliant staff, great breakfasts, fab location, so much to like BUT we had a loft suite and be warned it had absolutely no view, just two large air conditioning units. Worth checking before you book. Room was a little dated, table with four chairs but no sofa. Odd. Shower brilliant, great bed, might make sense to flag up lack of a view.

The staff was very helpful. The included breakfast is very good. Its "minimalist" philosophy is ridiculous. There are a couple of shelves for storage but no drawers.There are no night stands. The phone was on a "shelf" about 8 inches off the floor next to the bed. You had to get on your knees to use it. There is no air conditioning. The weather was very warm and the room was uncomfortably hot.

The hotel has a great location, friendly staff and nice restaurants and bars. Their new Spanish restaurant is particularly good! I would recommend booking here with a few awareness items. Their staff was nice but they could use more front desk help as there was often a queue or wait for someone to return, they have a number of stairs to navigate inside and out with no ramp, if you are sensitive to noise ask for an interior room in case it’s time for Friday and Saturday night party groups driving up and down the road in muscle cars or on party buses with loud bass and if you have an early tour like we did (departing at 8am when breakfast opened), ask for a takeaway option the night before. We had mentioned we would miss breakfast at checkin but the option wasn’t offered. We only learned about it later when asking for our 2nd day.

Service is good but if you need flexibility or understanding they’re poor. My daughter fell ill, and despite only having booked a two night stay with them the night before we were meant to arrive, and having stayed one day with them, they refused to refund the second night in this ‘exceptional’ case. With holidays like Norway, where you need flexibility and understanding, Bergen Bors will not provide you with it - very disappointed with management as the front of house staff were actually very nice and said they would escalate. It’s a shame the hotel felt the need to refuse a £110 refund as I definitely won’t be returning again, and will advise friends that travel not to as well.

I stayed at Bergen Børs Hotel for a week, and I'm very satisfied with this hotel. I especially love the high ceiling of my room and the breakfast. The staff were all very friendly. The breakfast was top notch and the it was served in a spectacular room with some amazing wall paintings. As you can see, I rated this hotel 5 out of 5. However, if I had the option of giving half points, I would have given this hotel 4.5 out of 5. One thing that can be improved is the shower head. It is challenging to hang the shower head in a way so that water will not splash outside. I had to use one hand to hold it and the other hand to wash myself. Maybe it is just a unique issue for my room. Either way, this is a minor issue and should not be a deciding factor.

the hotel staffs were rather rude, from reception to the restaurant manager at the lobby restaurant. the female reception staff told me sarcastically ‘you can call and check every 10mins if you want’ when I checked when my in-laws room would be ready. I sat at the lobby restaurant, waited for 20mins, waved numerous times, nobody bothered. I then asked the manager how to book the Izakaya dinner in the hotel, he arrogantly pointed my phone and told me, through your phone. When we checked out from the hotel, we had to ask the staff if we had any sort of discount for parking since we are in house guests, she very lightly said oh ya we forgot to mention. To me, these are the basics, politeness, customer service, this hotel had NONE. I have put ‘please clean my room’ before I left for dinner, 5pm, came back to hotel at 10, nothing was cleaned. I understand it’s not a 5 star hotel but the service was worse than a hostel. Do not recommend anyone to stay here, rude staffs.

Always welcoming reception, lovely rooms and great food. The bed is big and pillows firm, the rooms are spacious and modern with a nice bathroom. The bar on the third floor was wonderful and the breakfast is delightful. A great place to stay in the heart of Bergen.
