I only stayed for one night and didn’t spent much time there, but everything seemed absolutely fine to me. Nice room, decent pool area and helpful staff. A free/included breakfast option would be a good addition, but then it was one of the cheapest hotel options around, and I didn’t get a chance to look at the paid breakfast options. I saw one or two reviews suggesting that it’s basically a hostel, but I didn’t really get that vibe. It’s not the ritz but it’s a nice place.

Wide Mouth Frog was an amazing, comfortable stay in Quepos. I got the budget garden twin bed room and it was a great option! I had a comfortable bed in quiet AC, with a hot water shower and daily pool access! I only stayed for 2 nights but they felt like relaxing in a resort; it is an oasis inside the city (I stayed at a more modest guesthouse down the street for the previous 3 nights but the loud fan and no AC was destroying my sanity; in comparison, Wide Mouth Frog was a godsend). I ate the breakfast for the first morning but you can go outside the hotel across the street to Soda Sanchez for a way way way better breakfast for a cheaper price.

Friendly and helpful staff, the rooms look new, recently renovated. There are little things that could make it even better, they didn't ask our opinion, but here they are :) The keys are the same, the big main door key didn't work and the receptionist said they are the same.. Also in the shower there was no shelf to put the soap or shampoo, and in the sink there was no plate for the soap. Also, some towels looked a bit stained. Maybe a staff member could regularly go around and check everything and test things in all the rooms... The pool is nice, and little tub too.
