The Social Hub Bologna

We really enjoyed our stay at The Social Hub Bologna. The air conditioning was a welcome relief in the summer heat (37c) and the hotel offers a great range of facilities—access to a pool, table tennis, and a well-equipped gym added a playful and active vibe to the experience. One standout moment was the staff’s kindness when we needed to use the washing and drying facilities before leaving. Instead of making us download the app, they helped us directly, which made things so much easier and showed genuine hospitality. The atmosphere is youthful and energetic, but still quiet enough to relax. A great base for exploring Bologna with thoughtful touches that made our stay smooth and enjoyable. There’s also a fantastic coffee shop nearby—Doppio Civico —with excellent coffee and croissants that made our mornings and right opposite the hotel, we found a really good pizza place. Would deffo stay again

TSH is close to Bologna Centrale. Serviceminded staff, reception, bar, kitchen, cleaning. Very good hotel. With a swimmingpool. 7am to 11pm. Gym best I ever experianced at a hotel. Breakfast buffé with everything you can wish to start the day. Tastes very good also. AC worked great. TV only italian channels could have some in english. They have parking, rent a bicycle, you can laundry. We will recomend this hotel.

Located one block from Bologna Centrale. Easy check in/out. Good sized twin room. Spacoius bathroom. Comfortable bed. Complete in-room amenities. Pool, oitdoor lounge/bar, gym, ping pong, coworking rooms, many working desks around the common areas, 24/7 restaurant. Industrial design. Friendly staff.

Cool and friendly hotel with lots of students, close to Bologna central station. Center of Bologna in a distance of ca. 1,5 km. Not much to complain. Pool area could be cleaner, lots of insects in the breakfast room.

Service was impeccable as was the room: excellent value. Very close to the station which made it convenient for us. 30 min walk into central Bologna. Unfortunately the pool was out of action for the vast majority of our stay hence three stars for this aspect. Would certainly stay again.

Good value for money if you need a place to stay with nice amenities (pool, gym, coworking, bar). Check in and check out was a breeze.

Very nice stay. Plus for the new gym, the outdoor courtyard where we sat in the evening, laundromat (free of charge), extremely comfortable beds with duvet covers (not very common otherwise in Italy), vibrant energy, pleasant and service minded staff, lots of room to socialize or work. In our room there was a partition between the single beds that I hadn’t seen in the pictures beforehand but it was OK for a short stay. One of the bed lamps was broken when we arrived but it was promptly fixed the next morning. Extra pillows delivered within minutes on request. Close to central station and airport train. Sustainability including waste sorting stations.

Very dirty in on all carpets

This was not quite what was expected, and we were not the demographic usually targeted. The room was basic and clean. The laundry was very welcomed. Please do not stay here on a Saturday if you need to go to sleep early. The property hosted a big, loud event, with music thumping through the rooms until 11:30. Hotel guests seem to be a secondary consideration here. The passageways smelt manky, and the carpeting and floors needed a thorough vacuum. Dust and gunk everywhere.

Hotel facilities were good but the rooms and in particular the housekeeping were very poor. Stains on the walls, dust on the shelving. We stayed 5 nights, some time we had towels, some days we didn’t. No replacement coffee pods or water. Bathroom door hinge was broken. Also if you are booking two rooms with single beds and 1 adult and 1 child in each, do you really think it’s appropriate to leave a welcome condom on each bedside table?

Die Zimmer sind absolut in Ordnung – nicht luxuriös, aber komfortabel und funktional. Das Frühstück war wirklich sehr gut, mit einer großen Auswahl und frischen Produkten. Die Sauberkeit im Allgemeinen war mittelmäßig, es gab einige Ecken die besser gereinigt sein könnten. Besonders enttäuschend war die Pool-Area, die leider ziemlich ungepflegt und stellenweise sehr schmutzig war. Das Personal war freundlich, wenn auch nicht besonders aufmerksam. Die Lage des Hotels ist praktisch, vor allem für Ausflüge in die Umgebung. Preis-Leistung ist insgesamt akzeptabel. Das Hotel ist besonders gut für junge Leute geeignet, für Familien hingegen eher weniger empfehlenswert

Room was spotless, good hotel with a young vibe. Was fantastic for the money. Only let down was a faulty shower, with scalding water.

Staff were welcoming and friendly. The room was modern, clean and a good size with a great bathroom. The gym was well equipped but the pool wasn’t in use during our visit. The hotel is convenient for the train station but maybe 20-30 minutes walk from the main square.

Die Unterkunft ist sehr modern. Die Zimmer sehr spartanisch aber mit Stil eingerichtet. İn den Fluren hat es etwas gemuffelt und am Pool im Innenhof war es leider etwas dreckig. Wir wurden auch an der Kaffeebar geschickt ignoriert. Sehr schade. Sonst waren dasPersonal sehr nett.

Inside the rooms it was too hot, so we couldn’t sleep. The problem is that the aircon is managed centrally and switches from heating to cooling in May. So, you can’t regulate it individually. When opening the windows you could hear the noise of other people residing and living in the hub hanging out it the courtyard. We could change the room which improved the situation a bit. However, on the street side you also get the noise from the streets when opening the window. All in all, we got way too little sleep during our stay. Breakfast was very good and staff are nice. Would still not choose this place again as I prefer silence during nights

Clean modern hotel with a very woke vibe. Quiet rooms, great bathroom but I found it hard to sleep as it was hot in the room with the bedding they have and we had the AC up to the max possible.

The hotel is very modern and has a community vibe to it which is the theme of this hotel chain. The rooms are modern and clean. The facilities are good too. It’s a perfect hotel for meeting and chatting with other guests in common areas of that’s what you like. The location is near the main train station which is travel convenient but not too close to the city centre.

En annorlunda vistelse på en anläggning med en tydligt motto, att vara en social hub. Rummet hade en fräsch toalett men var i övrigt väldigt spartansk med cementväggar och dålig förvaring. Välfungerande AC och en säng som var hård men fungerade att sova i. Bra frukost och det sociala utrymmet, som ett atrium i mitten var trevligt att sitta och umgås i, här fanns även en bar och en pool

The hotel was functional - there was a bed, a toilet, a Nespresso machine. The room had a minimalistic aesthetic but really it is enough for a city break. The breakfast was plentiful and good enough, and the courtyard was an ideal place to have an evening drink. The big thing that let this hotel down, though, was the excessive amount of noise that meant sleeping was near impossible for a light sleeper like me. The plumbing was loud all night, people would be intermittently throwing glass in the bin (yes - all night long) and other hotel guests were loud slamming doors in the early hours of the morning. Overall it was fine, but I left exhausted from lack of sleep. But I guess you can't have it all! The location is good but be prepared to do a LOT of steps. It's about 2.5km into the centre of town through the train station so that's 5km of walking just into town and back.

O hotel esta bem localizado, proximo a estação ferroviária central e ha uma curta caminhada do centro histórico. O quarto era amplo porem barulhento a noite, dava para um pátio interior onde os estudantes ficavam conversando e bebendo ate altas horas! Oar condicionado nao funcionava… segundo informações do próprio hotel, so liga no verão!!!

Wenig Ablagemöglichkeiten, besonders im Bad, nirgendwo kann man ein Handtuch hinhängen, die Suche nach Steckdosen ist auch ermüdend.

It was a bit noisy. We had rooms that went into the «garden/social» area and even with our windows closed we could hear the music from the hotel. The beds we’re good!

Great service, reception open 24/7. Would recommend for younger adults. The hotel hosted events, which were a nice addition.

Et godt hotel med en god atmosfære. Alle er velkomne her. Indtjekningen var ret kaotisk. Det var selvbetjening, men ingen kunne finde ud af det, og der var alt for lidt personale til at hjælpe. Der var i det hele taget for lidt personale flere steder og ikke kun i receptionen. I baren var der 1 person til at betjene mange mennesker, der både skulle have kaffe, mad, cocktails, sodavand mv., og deres poolbar var ikke åben hver dag. Det gjorde, at man nogen gange simpelthen gik et andet sted hen for at købe mad og drikke. Personalet var meget venligt og serviceminded. Der var bare for lidt af dem. Hotellet ligger i et lidt kedeligt område. Det tager ca. 20-30 min at gå til Bologna centrum. Poolområdet er skønt, og værelserne er fine. vi kunne sagtens bo her igen.

Ik verbleef onlangs in dit hotel en ben nog steeds onder de indruk van de service. Bij aankomst werd ik verrast met een vervroegde toegang tot een upgrade kamer — een heerlijke verrassing na een lange reis. Wat het extra bijzonder maakte: op mijn verjaardag kreeg ik een gratis ontbijt aangeboden, compleet met een glimlach en felicitaties van het personeel. Dank je wel Alessandro! De kamer was ruim, stijlvol ingericht en brandschoon. Het personeel was oprecht vriendelijk en attent, en zorgde ervoor dat ik me echt welkom voelde. Zulke kleine gebaren maken een groot verschil. Kortom: uitstekende service, warme gastvrijheid en een verblijf dat mijn verjaardag onvergetelijk maakte. Ik kom hier zeker terug!

Staff is extremely friendly and helpful and make the experience great

We arrived in the early hours after a delayed flight and having to report lost luggage. The front door was locked but a member of staff was there quickly to let us in. He was very efficient and sympathetic towards the very disrupted start to our trip and immediately added a time extension to our room because we’d got to return to the airport within a few hours to collect luggage arriving on the next flight. We were very tired and slept well, even if only for a few hours. Breakfast was very good with a choice of fruit, pastries, cereals, meat, salad and cakes. There were also hot and cold drinks and juices. We left our bags in our room whilst returning to the airport for our lost luggage. The train station and monorail to the airport were just a short walk from the hotel. After a lot of wasted time at the airport we finally returned to the hotel, very flustered and just after the checkout time, but our bags were still in the room. The receptionist was very understanding and reactivated our keycards so that we could retrieve our baggage and organise ourselves. We were able to leave our luggage in a storage room to enable us to see a little bit of Bologna. There was a changing room for us to use when we returned. We had to move on as we were getting a train to another city but wish we’d had more time to enjoy the facilities at the hotel. The pool area looked great with showers, plenty of seating and shaded areas. We would certainly stay here again if flying to Bologna.

Il concept dell’Hotel è assolutamente affascinante e lo stilo altrettanto. Al check in, così come al check out, nell’attesa che l’unico receptionist presente termini il suo lavoro con gli ospiti presenti al desk prima di te, nessuno che ti faccia un saluto anche solo con un cenno per farti accomodare o solo per comunicare che ha notato la tua presenza. Al check out, dopo una lunga attesa, ho pagato un caffè che avevo già pagato; hanno insistito che dovessi pagare, nonostante abbia fatto presente che lo avessi già pagato. La camera nel suo insieme è ben tenuta ma i dispenser sono incrostati di sapone, anche nei beccucci. Peccato. La sensazione è che l’ospite leisure nonostante la tariffa, non sia assolutamente preso in considerazione. Peccato

This Hotel is amazing courtyard to chill free washers dryers concept different than any we've seen. Only negative is I don't think they have many tourists as the Reception staff was not clear about directiions & major bus ticket problems & do it cost us a fine if 270 Euros because u have to use 2 credit cards for 2 people even if husband and wife & the bus kiosk on bus didn't work. Making this crystal clear is important.. If I were Hotel Industry ceis in Balonga I'd put pressure or a Lawyer on them to get a System that works & makes sense. Only 1 Reception person really helped us w facts maps etc & that is Lucia she was Great. Others vague & if no interest to them. Thanks Rob & Terrie

Great hotel with very clean rooms and super friendly and helpful staff. Location is really convenient for the train station and Airport Express but is a bit of a walk away from the main attractions.

Nice modern hotel with AC near the train station of Bologna. It’s about 6 minutes walk from the station. The room is spacious and clean, very comfortable staying here. Close to the bus stops, easy to get to downtown, about 15-20 bus ride to get to downtown. Friendly and helpful staff.

Fantastic hotel near the train station of bologna. Well connected to the city center

Etablissement propre et accueillant. Chambre spacieuse. Parking en sous-sol très pratique. Il faut seulement être armé de bonnes jambes pour rejoindre le centre ville (20min), des bus passent devant l’hotel mais très peu le week-end. La piscine est vraiment un plus avec les températures à Bologne, elle mériterait seulement un petit nettoyage en fin de journée.

Hôtel was clean and presented in an "industrial chic" style which isn't really our taste but was OK. Bar area was nice and breakfast was brilliant. The hotel is just north of Bologna Centrale station but in an area which didn't feel the safest or cleanest. The walk into the city centre was quite long (15-20mins) and could be navigated by main roads which were better than back streets. The transport was a little limited so despite the distance the walk was the preferred option. Hotel facilities themselves were very good and staff friendly/helpful. Would likely stay at other Social Hub properties depending on the location.

数回利用していますが、基本的に快適に過ごせました。 いつも学生が多く時間帯によってはホテル内が混雑する場面もありますが問題になるほどではなかったです。 部屋は清潔で必要十分な品がそろっていますが、空調の温度設定の範囲が限られていて寒がりの人には物足りなく感じるかもしれません。 鉄道駅を挟んで中心部の反対側に位置するので、レストランの選択肢は少ない側になります。 空港への往来ではマルコーニエクスプレスに近いので便利です。 ジムは小さめですが、しっかり利用できました。

Easy checkin, modern fresh building and interior, definitely has a vibe about the place, great location for the old town and Bologna central train station , the monorail to the airport was not operational but a bus service was layed on instead, would recommend if you are visiting Bologna.

Très bon hôtel. Accueil agréable. Chambre spacieuse et de qualité. Un peu éloigné du centre (20 min à pied). Parking disponible mais payant (18€/jour).

Unfortunately you couldn't have a decent steak for dinner as there were mainly vegan options.

Great service , bed, spacious funky minimalist dorm type room, gym well equipped, superb facilities and little extras e.g complimentary fruit, water, sweets etc breakfast absolutely superb, best I’ve had in Europe .

Food was really good amd has lots of choices but for some reason, warm food menu was cold and undercooked on my last 2 days of stay. There is laundry, free water (water dispenser), really small fridge inside room, and has no air conditioning (heater only). Hotel is close to Bologna Centrale (train ststion). Staff were good and addressed any concerns or answered politely to any questions. We initially had troubles with shower pressure and was resolved within the day of complaint.

Really enjoyed staying at the Social Hub! The breakfast was maybe the best I have had in Italy. Free laundry available (though you can only use 1 machine at a time, even if the rest are not being used). All staff were so kind and helpful.

Very close to the Centrale train station and an easy walk into the city centre. Excellent choices for breakfasts, lovely staff and very clean.

Hotellet har en modern och stilren design med en trivsam innergård och pool. Antalet solstolar är dock begränsat, vilket kan vara ett minus när där är mycket folk. Poolen är varm och skön. Rummen är fina och rena, med sköna täcken, kuddar och sängar. På rummet finns även en minibar. Frukosten var tyvärr en besvikelse. Den ser inbjudande ut men smakerna lever inte upp till förväntningarna, och kaffemaskinen håller riktigt låg standard, inte drickbart! Läget är lugnt och avkopplande, cirka 30 minuters promenad till centrum. Personalen är hjälpsam och trevlig, vilket bidrar till en positiv helhetskänsla.
