Wonderful hotel, loved the amenities (ping pong table in the central living room, free snacks and coffee, and honesty bar open all night) and the tub in the room. Very spacious and comfortable bed with robe and slippers. Only wish we had stayed more nights!

Dichtbij het station. We konden snel terecht in de kamer. Zeer ruim, netjes! Aparte wc. Beneden een living room waar we gratis koffie, thee, cappuccino, koekjes en snoepjes konden pakken. Wijn, bier en fris tegen betaling. Er waren wat kinder spelletjes. Erg leuk! Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar!

First, know that there is no elevator! We overlooked this detail when booking the hotel and regretted it. Our room was on the top floor. The man at the front desk graciously carried our bag up and I lugged it down three flights of steep Dutch death stairs in the morning. Not an easy feat for a small woman who might have done a little shopping on her 10 day trip. Other than the accessibility factor, this is a lovely hotel with friendly staff and nice rooms.

Sehr individuell und gemütlich eingerichtetes Hotel in stadtnaher Lage mit freundlichem und immer hilfsbereitem Personal. Eine sichere Parkgarage und der Bahnhof liegen in nächster Nähe (3 Minuten zu Fuß). Kleine, aber feine Speisekarte - ausreichende Auswahl beim Frühstück. Einziger Nachteil: kein Aufzug und recht steile Treppen (das sollte man vorher bedenken). Ich komme sehr gerne wieder.

This is definitely a unique, cute hotel. We picked it because it looked like it had a small, cozy bar & restaurant and were disappointed to learn that neither were opened the night we arrived. It would have been helpful if this was posted on the website. Parking was also somewhat of an issue and the person working was not very well informed about the options. We arrived at night in a rain storm so this might have clouded our thoughts

Amazing helpful and pleasant staff. I booked the large ground floor suite which was amazing. Some may find the hotel and rooms unusual as it a boutique 70s style but really cool. It’s in 3 sections of a lounge, a bathroom area and a bedroom. The lounge area has a settee and large TV. The bath is huge and shaped like a hammock and fits 2 in but there is also a really nice shower area. The bedroom is large with a really comfortable XL bed and also has a TV. The areas were spotless and clean towels each day. Only had breakfast in the hotel which was continental style but there was bacon, scrambled or boiled eggs, streaky bacon, fresh tomato, mushrooms and hash browns. You can also order various egg combinations. Very relaxing stay.

Great trip! Haarlem is a cute and wonderful town. This hotel was terrific and quirky. The shower grout needs extra attention but overall I was extremely satisfied with our stay. I would definitely book again!

Het hotel is mooi en botanisch aangekleed (overal gezellige zithoekjes) en mijn kamer had een mooie knalkleur. Een hele rustige en nette buurt. Het kamer zelf, vond ik dat het bed te groot was voor de ruimte waardoor de ruimte zelf kleiner leek. Het heeft een open douche (zonder privacyscherm/folie) dus daardoor moest ik wel de gordijnen dichtdoen. Het wastafel hoekje kon beter belicht worden naar mijn idee, vooral make up opdoen ging niet zonder dat ik het licht van mijn mobiel gebruik. De TV ging om de 5 -10min uit (waarschijnlijk door de slechte internrtverbinding, youtube happerde ook en klapte uit), heb het doorgegeven). Het ontbijt was prima niet bijzonder maar goed en vers. Het minste vond ik dat de toilet naar riool rook, paar keer doorspoelen en het leek weg te gaan maar de volgende ochtend rook je het weer. Ach ja, ik reis veel en ik had er meer verwacht voir deze kamerprijs (allemaal kleine onnodige dingen). Dus voor korte verblijf is het wel ideaal (mocht je iets tegen komen gewoon bij de receptie aangeven vriendelijke personeel, ik had er zelf geen tijd voor)..

Super unique hotel! Extremely clean and felt very new, but decor gave a very "collected" and comfortable feel. Excellent staff service. Location perfect for walking or biking to city center. Spacious and spotlees shower and toilet room. Would love to stay again!

We gaan voortaan naar Boutiquehotel Staats als we Haarlem aandoen. Mooie plek dichtbij station en op loopafstand van het centrum. Heerlijke ruime en schone kamers met een fijn bed. Ook kun je je even terugtrekken in de gezamenlijke living room en zelfs een potje tafeltennissen! Ook erg vriendelijk personeel, die adviezen geven en een uitstekende service.

Good hotel. The reason for the lower score was the bathroom arrangement. The sink is retrofitted into some old furniture and it sprays water everywhere when it’s used. There isn’t a suitable mirror for shaving. The shower leaks water right across the room to the toilet. The whole room gets wet and dirty. Breakfast was by far the best part of the stay. Excellent chef cooked items to order and a good selection of other items. We ordered a number of upgrades and extras from the emails the hotel sent, but none of them were provided (or charged for, so we didn’t mind too much).

Perfekte Lage: nah am Bahnhof von wo man soviel entdecken kann. Außerdem ist der Nationalpark auch nicht weit. Und die Innenstadt auch. Wir hatten die Juniorsuite, sie war sehr schön eingerichtet. Einziger Kritikpunkt: sie ist sehr dunkel und das Licht Konzept ist seltsam. Entweder total hell oder gar nichts.

Wij verbleven in de junior suite op de begane grond. Mooie kamer, leuk ingericht. Ik ben alleen niet zo'n fan van het 'loft concept', ik heb liever een aparte badkamer, in plaats van de douche en wc in de kamer (met duren welliswaar), maar dat is een persoonlijke voorkeur. De algehele indruk en aankleding van het hotel is dik voorelkaar en heel sfeervol. Het personeel is vriendelijk, maakt leuk contact en de service is heel goed. Een minpuntje vonden wij dat de kamer best gehorig was. Je hoorde de containers als er vuilinis werd weggegeooid, maar vervelender was voetstappen op de verdipieng boven ons en duidelijk hoorbaar als de wc boven ons werd doorgetrokken. Het is een oud gebouw met een nieuwe functie, dus daar is niet veel aan te doen. Al met al een positieve ervaring, de volgende keer slapen wij liever boven.

I would not have wanted to try to find a toilet in the dark in thereThe shower was open make sure you are comfortable with your travelling partner because they will see all your bits!!. The check was not as smooth as hoped, the desk clerk was unclear in regards to the parking and made it a bit of a challenge to figure out what to do. Basically you're in a parking garage about block or so away from the hotel. A reservation for parking needs to be made ahead of time so you can save on some of the cost. More than 50%. Haarlem is beautiful!!

Wonderful staff, clean room, incredible location. The Comfort room was a little funky in that it had the shower DIRECTLY (and kind of inconveniently) in your face as soon as you walk in the room. Otherwise, zero complaints. Fantastic place.

The hotel is very cute and overall the experience was great. I can totally recommend it to everyone. Very nicely decorated, cosy, warm atmosphere. Convenient location. The only negative aspect was the young blond girl at the front desk. She had the most negative face. No smile at all. She is not a happy person. I don't think she really wats to work. Both I and my wife did not want to deal with her at the end. It was that bad. Someone needs to tell her something..

We liked the playful decor. The location near the train station was perfect. The staff were obliging. Coffee, tea and snacks were included. The room was spacious with an excellent bed and a fridge. Robes and slippers were provided. The steep stairs were a challenge, even though staff carried our luggage up and down. One pays that price for staying in charming historic buildings.

Prachtige locatie. Helaas werden we tot laat wakker gehouden door muziek vanuit het hotel )niet van gasten). Buitendeur stond savonds laat nog open. Sochtends geen sorry of excuses. Geen tegemoetkoming. We hadden de IMac laptops zo mee kunnen nemen snachts. Had meer service verwacht van zo’n duur hotel.

A quiet distinctive hotel five minutes from train and bus terminal, and ten minutes from central market area. Twenty five minutes by rail to downtown Amsterdam. This is a very quiet hotel far from the frenzy of Amsterdam.

What a great little hotel in the middle of a lovely city, less than a 6-minute walk to the train station and 10 minutes to the city center. I can't say enough about the hotel and staff. We will be back!

Lovely decor and spacious rooms. Lots of steep steps to climb up though! Very convenient for railway station, but about 10 minute walk from the main area of Haarlam. We enjoyed our stay very much, the only let down was the dinner which was very disappointing- seems like the previous place which scored highly has closed down, and the new offering felt like they didn’t have a chef on board yet. I’d reccomend walking into Haarlam for dinner until they get themselves better sorted.

A lovely 4 night stay in a comfortable hotel close to everything I was looking for. The junior suite was a good size with a large comfortable bed, a sofa and chair. It was lovely to stay in a hotel that isn't part of a chain and has its own original design features. The breakfast staff were happy to cook something to order and the buffet food was fresh and interesting. There were unlimited hot drinks all day and the staff were all helpful. We chose Haarlem because its an easy train trip into Amsterdam and our accommodation was much better value than in the capital. We also discovered that Haarlem is a lovely town and it was pleasant to walk around the old centre. I'd be interested to come back when the weather is warmer and visit the nearby national park and beach.

Een goed hotel met een heerlijk hotel ontbijt en leuke huiskamer. We hebben genoten met 4 vriendinnen. Fijn dat de mogelijkheid er was om op 1 kamer te verblijven.
