Very friendly owner. Room was big. We did not get a balcony room, but we had a table with comfortable chairs next to the large window facing the ocean. It was beautiful. Room was very clean and the king bed was comfortable. TV goes off a lot because of the internet service. We did not care, but something to know if you want to watch TV. Close to Calais & Eastport. Would definitely stay here again!

Our room was a generous size and had views of Passamaquoddy Sound with path access to a local beach. The hotel was quiet and comfortable. They use a Roku box for TV services, which is unfamiliar to us, but offers a lot of viewing options. We didn't really have much time for TV, given the locale.

The motel is old and in dis-repair. There was no weather strip on the door so you can see outside around the perimeter and noise came in. The room was cleaned with bleech which made it difficult to breathe. the bedding was terrible. There was no water pressure in the morning because they said a circuit breaker tripped. The only thing going for it was the view.

This is a marvelous location with large family size rooms, incredibly comfortable beds and linens, a gorgeous view of the St Croix River, and a very friendly and accommodating host-- 20 minutes from Eastport, and just below Calais, it's a great place to day trip from, and also a place just to rest and relax. It is a motel the way they used to be-- squeaky clean, comfortable, and accessible, I would definitely stay there again!

It is a basic, older hotel that gets the job done. It was quiet and had a very good shower. My only complaint is the room floors are not level, which caused the head of the bed to be lower than the foot of the bed by a notable amount. I had flip the bedding and sleep with my head at the foot of the bed. The bed was comfortable, I just wish it would have been level. Otherwise it was a decent stay.

I'm going to be honest; this isn't a modern property, and the room wasn't top notch, but it met our needs. The floorboards in the bathroom were squeaky and loose under the linoleum, and the decor is outdated. But it's also par for the course for a small-town motor inn. They aren't meant to be fancy; they are meant as a place to lay your head on your way to other destinations. It comes across as a run down motel, but the bed was comfy, the reception very thorough and welcoming, and the view unbeatable. The sliders to the deck barely worked and the screen was torn, but who cares. There is no food at the motel or closer than a 15 minute drive.
