Really enjoyed this hotel! The location is great and w/in close walking distance to Times Square, Broadway theaters, and Madison Square Garden. The room I was in was VERY tiny but fine for solo travelers (if 2 or more traveling together though highly recommend getting a suite). The bed was very comfortable and really liked the closet layout. The fitness center was very nice & clean. Restaurant was delicious, and the room service was very prompt. Love that they allow pets! It was wonderful getting to love on the occasional dog in the lobby. But best of all was the staff! It's been a long time since I've experienced a hotel & restaurant where the ENTIRE staff was so friendly and kind :)

This stay was amazing from check in to check out... The hotel is centered perfectly gpt walking distance to give square, subway platforms and public transportation... The staff was amazing from beginning to end.....i can't say enough about this hotel and the staff. They greet you with champagne at check in, provide umbrellas when it's raining and and right on the spot with whatever you need.

Great property and the people who work there are top notch. Was not a fan of their housekeeping and their rules on rolling up. And why don't hotels in NYC have a microwave oven? They call THAT a fire violation? What about irons?

Won't stay anywhere else if I visit New York again. Location is right off the hustle and bustle of 8th Avenue. Loved Burgerology and their daily happy hour. Door men were super helpful and personable(especially the one with the beard). Overall amazing experience.

Five stars, BUT... So I'm not going to dock any points for this hotel simply because the staff was overly friendly, attentive, and accommodating. They helped us find a parking spot on the street right in front of the hotel, they gave us a complimentary late checkout (which I was very grateful for because I was exhausted). We stayed in room 2506. I have three issues with this place. The biggest one is the fact that there are no plugs near any mirrors. So if you are a woman who needs to blow dry or straighten or curl her hair in front of a mirror, you'll have to bring an extension cord. Luckily my straightener has a super long cord and I was able to plug it in the bathroom next to the toilet and wrap it around the wall to reach the mirror in the hallway, and move a little table in front of the mirror. Second, like other reviews mentioned, there is a $30 facility fee that you aren't told about until you get there. So for somebody who was looking for a room on Expedia on a budget, make sure to add $30 to the price! Third, I've stayed at several hotels in NYC and this is not worth $430 a night, it's definitely overpriced. But if customer service is priceless to you, like it is to me, you'll be happy here.

I would stay at Crowne Plaza every time I travel to New York. The hotel was centrally located and the staff was friendly and helpful. While I didn’t have time to go to the gym, it looked incredible.

No power in the room after turning lights off at night. Reported to the engineering team, but they could not fix it. No water in the room, everyone needs to get to the level 6 and get into the gym to refill your water bottle, unless you are willing to pay $4 per bottle at the front desk. Location is great tho.

Just checked out this morning and loved our stay. Room- spacious, clean, and the beds were PERFECT! The only one change I’d like to see is adding a fridge to the room. Location- is great to get to Penn Station and walk to TS. The burgerology restaurant was so nice we had it twice. (Had the Mac and cheese burger and cinnamon roll pancakes-to die for). Staff- extremely courteous and helpful. Everyone we talked to were super friendly. Housekeeping came daily which is nice since a lot don’t post covid. The only thing I ran across that should probably be looked at is the hot water temperature. In the lobby bathroom and our room the water got hurt enough to burn you. I would def recommend and stay here again.

I had originally booker another hotel for a family trip to NYC and less than a week before got cold feet because the reviews on it were so mixed. So I changed to this hotel and though it was more expensive it was absolutely worth it. The rooms are small but that’s standard for the city, Everything was very clean. I loved coming back after the noise and heat of the city, to the amazing shower and the rooms were quiet. The front desk were so nice and helpful. Definitely recommend.

I've been to NYC a few times now, and this is by far the most quiet and clean hotel, which is very important to me. The employees were super personable and helpful. The attached restaurant, Burgerology, had yummy food and drinks. The hotel was centrally located, so it was easy to walk to Broadway for our show and Madison Square Garden for our concert. All around great experience, and will visit again.

I loved my stay at Crowne Plaza Midtown hy36. My daughter and I enjoyed everything about this hotel! From the front door, to the front desk everything was so nice and clean, and everyone was so friendly. The restaurant was great! The food and drinks were very tasty. Whenever we come back to New York City, we would most definitely stay at this Crowne Pkaza again!

Check-in was quick and we were an hour early. The room was super clean and the staff was prompt with servicing the room while we were out. No real complaints. Even the check-out at 11am went pretty quick despite several people at the counter and waiting. I will keep this hotel in mind if I'm in the area again! Thank you!

The service from the staff is exceptional. They are very responsive when I requested extra blankets and towels multiple times. The hotel smells very pleasant which masks off the bad odor from outside. The shower was leaking significantly hence why I keep requesting additional towels. The water seeped onto the carpet which cause a foul smell in the room throughout our stay. Also leaked onto the entrance and was slippery. I consistently had to wipe the floor with new towels after every shower. I wish the staff would’ve offer to move us to another room.

We’ve stayed at this hotel many times and always choose it when visiting NYC. We love our stays here and appreciate the convenient location. However, during this visit, we noticed the carpet in our room wasn’t completely clean, with food remnants stuck behind the chair. Aside from that, everything else was excellent, and we have no other complaints.

The hotel was small but what do you expect in midtown Manhattan. It was very kept up and clean. The shower was the best I ever experienced. Staff were really cool and location an A . I left my laptop when checking out and they immediately called me and prepped to ship it to me back in Canada. I got it back thankfully:)

Hotel is located very close to subway and train station. Hardly 5 minutes walk. It is close to Penn station. Staff was super friendly and very accommodating. Hotel has a restaurant and we had pre-paid breakfast coupons for adults. Breakfast served is hot and has many good options. Restaurant main server did not find him kind and was less patience and many mistakes in our order. Otherwise food was 4 out of 5. Hotel walls are thin and can hear next door neighbors. Also, little kid crying next door we can hear as well. Small fridge in the hotel, its compressor was way too loud and noisy as a car motor running. Had to unplug it. Heater did not work. They moved us to another room and still the same issue. Bathroom's are out dated but acceptable. Hotel room size are way too small. we did not even have a space to open 1 full size bag. And hardly any space to keep rest of the 2 small bags. Beds were too soft and not firm. Bed size is full size and not queen. After moving to another room, the noise was reduced and there was some small space where we can open the full size bag. Overall proximity to all attractions is nice, hot breakfast was good, staff was good, very close to train stations and price for the hotel is fair. However it is not a 4 star hotel for me. I will look for other options next time around.

I really loved the hotel. Great central location with plenty of food options within walking distance. There's a nice burger restaurant and bar attached to the property also. Staff are fantastic and the place is in excellent condition. My only criticism is that I found the double beds to be too small compared to other hotels.

Great hotel, but u hear noises from everywhere...if u have noisy neighbors, u hear them thru ventilation pipes. Also noise from the street thru closed windows. People getting on/off the elevator in the hallway thru the doors. Room totally not soudproof. Not good at late night.

My stay was nothing short of amazing. Every time I visit New York, I try to stay here. During my most recent visit, I was pleasantly welcomed by trainees at the front desk who were both friendly and professional. Elijah, in particular, stood out he was very knowledgeable and made the check-in process smooth and enjoyable.

It was good with a convenient location but a bit disappointed with front desk person. She said we would get a text when room was ready and we waited for hours with no text. Later the front desk explained she put the phone number in wrong. A small mistake that had a big impact on our trip. The room was very nice and convenient to train station.

We chose Crowne Plaza HY36 for the location. It’s very close to Madison Square Garden and Penn Station, so it was an ideal home base for our NYC exploration. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. It was nice to be greeted each time we entered the lobby. The room was very comfortable, with good water pressure in the shower. We plan on staying here again whenever we travel to New York.

Once in the hotel, the experience was excellent. While the location was ideal, close to Penn Station and restauarants nearby, the neighborhood itself is questionable. Marijuana usage was prevalent and homeless individuals made movement to and from the hotel challenging.

The hotel is lovely. Every staff member was very friendly, professional and polite. The food and staff at the restaurant are also great. The hotel is in midtown, minutes from Times Square. Very convenient, subway stop a block away. I'll gladly stay here on my next trip to NYC. All that said, it is a hotel in midtown in a huge city, with all the challenges like people struggling with homelessness and addiction that come with it. I'm from another big city, so I'm used to it and accept that it comes with the territory. If that's something that will shock you or make you feel unsafe, you might choose another destination.

Short trip to NYC. Property appears newly renovated. As NYC rooms at touch larger with a good size bathroom. Staff very courteous and friendly. Private restaurant right next door. Very short walking distance from Penn Station. Close enough for Midtown.

I travel often for work and I was very impressed with the staff at the Crowne Plaza. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. It was my first time in New York and several of the front desk staff helped us navigate the subways and provided recommendations of where and where not to go in the city. The hotel restaurant Burgerology was excellent. One of the best smashburgers I’ve ever had, and I’m a foodie from New Orleans. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and spacious for New York. Would highly recommend.

We had a great family vacation to NYC. Enjoyed staying at this clean hotel, great location. Great service by Ryan and Kenny. Very friendly staff. Walking distance to best pizza in the world!! Joe’s pizza! Make sure you try Burgerology it is just downstairs. The chocolate milkshake was absolutely amazing!

Great hotel with friendly staff, the location is really good, close to Penn Station. We took the breakfast option and were not disappointed with the options, quality and service in the Burgerology restaurant which serves the breakfast. It wasn't clear when booking what the breakfast included, but you get a drink and can choose anything from their Brunch-Ology menu (the Mixed-Berry Waffle was my favorite)

Staff of hotel was absolutely wonderful on all levels. Room was clean and well appointed. Location ideal. Restaurant was pretty terrible. Food was average (fine!) But music was club level. Absolutely nuts. 90 percent empty. They mopped with chemical all aeound me whole I was eating. I ofdered to leave.
