Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Beaumont Northwest by IHG

limited power, pool in terrible condition, no rooms available although i was there an our early to check in. front desk lady offered to cancel my reservation due to no rooms available, hotel under construction, pool full of algae. I did not stay here. I am trying to get ahold of expedia customer service since that day to explain issue. I have pictures. i had to drive a few more hours to find a clean hotel that was not under construction.

This hotel needs a better way to leave the parking lot without having to turn right and go all the way around instead of being able to go directly to the light.

I was not happy about the fact that I was not put in the room type that I booked. I booked 2 queens, because my adult son was traveling with me. The hotel said that they did not have any rooms with 2 rooms left, so they could give me a king or cancel my reservation. Also, the pool was closed…..it was green when we arrived there.

Keys stopped working and we got locked out of our room changed to a different room and same problem. Carts for luggage are horrible wheels don’t turn and they have to be pulled and pushed

Good for the most part. I personally believe it’s ridiculous that we were only given two wash cloths and two drying towels for four people. Food good. Would like to see the tubs cleaned/painted to where you don’t feel dirty taking a shower. Breakfast was good. Pool was fine, hot tub did not work! You had to go to front desk to get pool towels which I think is such an inconvenience to the guest!

The rooms were clean on the surface and the bed was comfortable. I have been there two weekends in the past month. The building had some significant damage to the exterior awning that was repaired when I was there the second time, however there was still a lot of damaged construction material in the flowerbeds. There is an incredibly thick mildew/mold smell when you first walk in the entry. There is some sort of ongoing issue with moisture in that portion of the building as the windows fog, the floors are damp, and the air is blowing from the HVAC system. I don’t know how the front desk people can stand it. The carpet floor in my room was stained and the remote didn't work properly for the TV. The refrigerator was broken. The toilet handle didn’t properly flush the toilet without it constantly running. There was mold/mildew and rust on the HVAC vent in the room. The elevator panel inside the sole elevator is in need of service as the buttons do not all properly work consistently without effort. The breakfast area was clean and continental breakfast was adequate.

The pool was unlocked but had lots of leaves in January. Attracts some questionable people

The staff were friendly and the rooms were spacious and clean. Continental breakfast was robust and good. My children and I were very disappointed to find the pool in a green, cloudy, and stagnant condition. Needless to say, we didnt get a chance to swim.

Room AC didn’t work. Front desk check-in-clerk was not even close to being competent. Luggage cart had flat tire. Road construction made getting to hotel difficult. Hotel parking bad

The front oning was being fix so blocking front vanity in bathroom was missing caulking

The AC was great, but the water pressure was almost nonexistent. The restroom in the lobby was disgusting

Overall the stay was great. The hotel had a good smell. All staff encountered were friendly. However, the bathroom shower faucet was off the wall in our room, and there was a mold-looking substance around the tub. Breakfast was plentiful, but some of the items were overcooked.

There was no toilet paper in the room nor a toilet paper holder. The lobby was dirty and the lobby bathroom unclean and smelled like urine. The air conditioner did not work in the room very well, so was quite warm and hard to sleep.

Front desk was very helpful. Room was clean but breakfast area and hotel in general were not cleaned (appeared understaffed). In room - poor tapwater pressure (3rd floor) & lukewarm water along with soured AC odor could be remedied with minor updates and maintenance.

The bathroom wasn't properly cleaned. I went to the front desk and requested some disinfectant and cleaned it. I was very disappointed.

We had a suite and needed the sofa sleeper. Then at breakfast it seemed clean and was but, they wanted you to put the tongs that you pick food up with on the HANDLE that you raise the lids with. And while we we’re making our coffee we noticed little roaches crawling on the counter. Needless to say we threw it away and didn’t get coffee or eat breakfast the next day! The beds in the room was firm and ok for us. The room was ok but the carpet was horribly stained and dirty. Otherwise the room was clean. The AC in our room didn’t work the greatest the first night. But we kept it low and by 2nd night the room was cooler. The cleaning staff didn’t speak English apparently at all. They had small children around ages 7 and up with them who would interpret what I was saying or what the ladies would say. Sweet little children helping out. The location wasn’t too bad but if I ever need to stay in Beaumont again I will not choose this hotel.

Room very clean

Room was very clean. Bed was extremely comfortable and the AC worked great. Breakfast was better than it most other hotels.

Check in took a little longer than expected but desk agent was well into her seventies. Room was not cleaned for our entire stay. There was a silverfish and spider in the bathroom. Breakfast was decent but was the same two days in a row. Paint was peeling on colums in food area. Television in room didnt have basic standard amenities like netflix or youtube.

It was OK. The shades on the window weren’t great and there was a light pole right outside the window so our room was bright all night. The front desk woman was great.

The room I was given had the bed placed right behind the industrial dryer machines of the hotel and they would run very early in the morning and throughout the entire day. Impossible to rest and have some quiet. And at night the sound of other guest's door can be heard so loud from your room or even when people talk in the hallways. If you are looking for good rest and you are not a deep sleeper, I would not recommend this hotel. Staff was very nice and tried to help their best.

We stayed on 3rd floor and it was too warm to cool, the a/c in room was set on 60 and felt like 75 degrees. The whole 3rd floor was warm due to not having a central a/c for that floor. Top it off they charged extra for who knows what. Have to call and see what the extra charges are on my credit card…

Good location. Near restaurants and shopping areas. Nice room. Keurig Coffee Maker in the room was broken. When we requested 2 extra pillows they said they had no extra pillows. A first for this class of hotel for me. Good breakfast. Give it 4 out of 5. Mosi are about a 2 1/2.

Everything was fine except the weak signal that made the tv unwatchable. Also poor internet connectivity; I kept having to log in every time I opened my phone or iPad, and some sites would not open. Other than that everything was good, clean and comfortable.

The hotel is clean, nice and the staff is friendly. The a/c made lots of noise and there is noise from outside, so I didn’t get a lot of sleep.

After prepaying for a 2 queen suite and driving in from Florida, we find out the person in our room extended their stay and the hotel overbooked our room. They had no more rooms to accomodate our family.

Some kind of party was going on in the 2nd floor on July 1st. At 2am I could not get to sleep because of all the noise even with my sleep medication. There was so much hollering and yelling and screaming. I actually recorded, it was soooo bad! So I called the front desk. I told them I'm having a problem up here on the second floor there's some kind of wild party up here it sounds like some wild animals. Then the desk clerk proceeded to say " Well I doubt it's wild animals but I'll check it out" Then he hung up on me. I was so shocked. A little while later things settled down. However, I was so shook up and upset from the way he talked to me, I still couldn't get to sleep for some time. Also, some friends of mine who stayed in the same hotel that night said there were people in the pool until about 3 am partying. They asked the clerk about it and he was fine with it. After these experiences we didn't even feel like it was safe to even report these things to anyone else. All the other staff were really nice though. The ladies at the desk, the guy that oversees breakfast as well as the cleaning staff. This was honestly the worst hotel experience of my life. It's really sad because this is the first family trip we've had in a long time. 😔 BTW, the elevator was a little scary because it did this shaking thing. My friends wouldn't use it. It also needed a good cleaning. Also the rooms smelled of mold. Oh and the breakfast was good 👍. Nothing fancy but tasty and filling.

Staff not very friendly. Booked 2 adults in 1 room. There was only 1 towel. Seemed to be inconvenient to front desk staff to bring another one out. Breakfast set up was great - don’t get in the way of the staff in the dining room.

Nice hotel, slow service, close to everything but rough part of town.

Check in was easy and all the staff we encountered were courteous. Room was clean and comfortable (bed was a little high if you are short and/or injured like me!) and we enjoyed our breakfast as well. The hotel's location is convenient to shopping and food!

The hotel right off the freeway clean and very comfortable. Close to all shopping and restaurants and the breakfast in the morning was very good with great varieties of all breakfast foods.

DO NOT IGNORE BAD REVIEWS LIKE I DID!! smells horrific! Renovations are already unraveling. Only 2 towels. Location feels uneasy. Worst hotel I’ve stayed at.

The hotel itself was in an area that was not the best. On more than one occasion, there were people(clearly not guests) hanging around outside in the parking lot. The soda refrigerators were not working so I had to purchase hot sodas. The pancake machine was not working and the sausage links and "omelets" were very undercooked. My room was cool, but the hotel itself seemed as if there was no air conditioning. I did like my room, despite not being able to access movie channels.

Our room was nice. The location was convenient for us and very quiet at the hotel. They had a nice breakfast included in our package and they offered snacks in the lobby in the evening. The staff seemed friendly.

The beds were extremely hard. That's the only complaint I had. The continental breakfast was the best I've EVER had at a hotel.
