The elevator doesn't work properly once you get to your floor don't attempt to leave By the elevator it doesn't work especially in the early morning hours, you have to use the stairs and I was on the 3rd floor, the room has a stench smell of dog odor it was horrible stay I'm never staying there again in life. No waffles, cold biscuits no gravy,no bottle of water, and the manager was not helpful I was stuck in the elevator and no one came to help for 1 hour and no one answered the front desk call during that time. Don't go to this location or you're going to be in trouble 😵💫.

The entrance to this place is really wonky - there is no front entrance or sign on the road. Also, the whole reason we booked this hotel is because it had an indoor pool and it was closed for cleaning. When I questioned it, the front desk person told me I should have called to make sure it was open. What? Really? That pretty much over shadowed the whole stay. The area it is located is also a little strange. Comfy room and nice breakfast, but I think I'll pass on this next time.

Check in employee was very kind. However the pool was out of service, the treadmill in the workout room was out of service also. Neither of this was not noted on the website when booking. This would have made us change locations because we have children and they was very r about swimming after driving for hours on a road trip, only to get here and find out it’s closed. This needs to be noted on booking what all is out of service. The wallpaper in the bathroom was coming off the wall also behind the sink.

There was only one elevator working, the floor in the lobby was filthy and slick. There were holes in the wall in the lobby, and the staff was working short the entire weekend.

It was almost impossible to locate the property due to poor or missing signage. Signage at the entry drive or on the building at this point was not existent. The entry drive from the public street faces the back of the building with no signage directing to the main entrance. The building was musty smelling as was our room. I had to purchase room freshener to help with the unpleasant odors. The breakfast choices were very limited and nearby restaurants were nearly non-existent. Overall, I was unpleasantly surprised that a Hilton property could be in such a condition. I understand the building is currently being renovated, but our room had items removed from the wall leaving only the mounting brackets. There were also holes in the walls behind the table that was shoved into the corner. If renovation work in a guest room has not been completed, it should not be made available. I would guess that due to the number of visitors in the area due to a major event at nearby Barber Motorsports Park, management decided to take advantage of the situation.

The hotel was older which was fine. It definitely could use some upgrading. The room was clean but could have been better. The hot water didn't work very well. We had to let the shower run for 25+ minutes before the water turned barely warm. It never got hot. We were very disappointed that everything in the fitness center was out of order and couldn't be used. The door to our room was very difficult to get open with the keycard. It took multiple attempts each time and wiggling the card just right. The side exterior door wouldn't open with the keycard and we noticed multiple times that other guest were propping the door open with sticks and water bottles so they didn't have to go all the way to the front. I felt that was extremely unsafe. Anyone could have came into the hotel. My husband and I were disappointed with our stay.

Staff was courteous and helpful. Only positive thing we can say about our stay. Bathroom was filthy. Our shoes stuck to the floor when we walked into the bathroom. Made us wonder about the cleanliness of the rest of the room. For example, we were concerned that the bed linen may not have been clean. We stayed 2 nights, and the room was not cleaned after the first night even though we put the please clean this room sign on the door handle in the hall. We will not be staying in this hotel ever again. Shame, too, because we have a number of family members who live in Birmingham, and we will need a place to stay 3 or 4 times per year.

First off, the ladies at the front desk are awesome! Super sweet and kind. Property is in bad shape and needs a renovation. There were signs saying they are remodeling but no construction to be seen. My room was dirty and disgusting. The shower was as gross as it could be, slime and mold all over. A dirty washcloth was left in the shower and the shower gel and shampoo dispensers were empty. The Kleenex dispenser was also empty. When I went to shower there was NO hot water. The front desk said it’s normal and to run the water for 15 minutes to get hot. The public bathroom was really dirty. Dried urine all over the floor. It smelled and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in some time. This is not a clean property. If you want a nice place to stay, look elsewhere. If you want a budget hotel and prices that are too high this place has you covered.

Room was not very clean. There was black mold on the ceiling in the shower. Blanket looked like it was never washed. Carpet was dirty and looked like it had not been vacuumed. Breakfast was satisfactory and front desk was helpful.

The staff was very kind, but overall, the hotel was not clean. My bathroom had lots of hair in it, dirt in the corners, etc. The shower was so dirty that I was afraid to use it, and the carpet in the bedroom was dirty. The hallway floors were also dirty. The carpet was not clean, and the tiled floors were visibly dirty. The entire hotel needs a deep clean and an update. I'm honestly shocked that it is a Hilton property. All of that said, the staff was warm and friendly. But the overall management leaves much to be desired. It was certainly not worth what I paid.

Rooms not thoroughly cleaned. Glass piece found on bathrm fl. Orange peel, candy wrapper, & key found on batrh rm fl in one of our other rooms. Carpet wet under desk. Lg fan in room when we checked in. Microwave had tons of finger prints. Shower wall cracked. Hair dryer missing. Beds were clean though. Front desk stafe very good. Gave us extra Honors pts. Couldn't give moneyback on rm because it was booked through third party/hotels.com. I won't use third party again.

The staff was so friendly and courteous this review is not about the staff at all. It’s entirely about the property. There is something wrong with the property it has a terrible smell like water damage is going on. I am asthmatic & I could not breathe, the air was damp and heavy. I thought the room would be better but it was not. I stayed in the hotel for 2 hours and left. This hotel desperately needs a remodel or someone should go out there and review this place again it’s a 1 star or 2 at best.

The room was clean. I liked that we had a coffee maker, refrigerator, and microwave. Breakfast in the morning. The shower head needed to be replaced. The bed was so hard, and the pillows were completely flat. Cassandra at the front desk was so sweet. Always very nice. Always smiling.

The stay was good, but there were a few things wrong with the room: phone handle / hand set was disconnected from the phone base - broken connection. Therefore no access to front desk via phone. There was a towel bar missing from the bathroom- sink side.

Property location is excellent but hotel rooms need some update. A mattress topper would be great as it was hard and uncomfortable, pluses pillows do not have any support and are too small and without shape. Curtains need some loving care. Shower doors need update.

Curtains would not shut thus allowing too much light and brightness in at 6am. Air conditioning was loud and making an irritating noise. I make this trip several times a year and will not stay here again.

We stayed last night in our hotel. We used the AC in our room, and noticed that it was leaking. The floor became soaked with water. We told the front desk about this and they stated they would send someone to come check on it. An hour later, we contacted the hotel from our cell phones because the phone in the room did not work and no one had shown up. They finally sent someone to look but couldn't fix it. It was also almost midnight at this point. They offered to change our room to a king room but it was so late and we had been traveling all day and didn't want to have to relocate. We confirmed it was okay to use the air conditioner with the leaking, in which they said it was. However, we were up and down consistently because the air conditioner wasn't blowing cool air. We tried turning it off for a few minutes and turned it back on. We did not sleep well and have a long trip today. This was the worst experience we have had in a hotel.

My stay was awesome. Only downside was my bed was a little hard for my liking and gave me a back ache and the air conditioner could’ve been COLDER!

From the moment I checked in, not only was the staff friendly upon check-in no matter what my needs were they were extremely attentive. From towels to morning “hello’s”. The hotel was extremely clean and there was always hot water or coffee available 24/7. I always appreciate that. And a variety of teas and hot chocolate.

Staff was friendly and attentive. Hotel and room was clean and presentable. Breakfast was great. Hotel accommodated mobility accessible room request (despite being sold out at time of booking) for our Sister who had just had open heart surgery at UAB, and was using and walker and required a shower chair. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay at this property again.

Great place for a short stay with friends. The only issue was that the deadbolt on the door of the room wouldn’t lock! We flipped the door guard lever and put a chair in front of the door for extra security. Also, the only driveway to the hotel was in the back and there was NO SIGNAGE with the hotel’s name on the back! It was very confusing to locate this property. Otherwise, we really liked this hotel!

Not a bad place, staff was very friendly. There’s not anything walkable too from the hotel. There was no vending machine next to the ice, even though there was a vending sign. Room felt cramped because there was an unnecessary chair blocking about 2/3 of the space from entry to the room (see picture). There was already a chair in the room so I don’t know why they would cram another one in there.

The entrance to this place is really wonky - there is no front entrance or sign on the road. Also, the whole reason we booked this hotel is because it had an indoor pool and it was closed for cleaning. When I questioned it, the front desk person told me I should have called to make sure it was open. What? Really? That pretty much over shadowed the whole stay. The area it is located is also a little strange. Comfy room and nice breakfast, but I think I'll pass on this next time.

It was almost impossible to locate the property due to poor or missing signage. Signage at the entry drive or on the building at this point was not existent. The entry drive from the public street faces the back of the building with no signage directing to the main entrance. The building was musty smelling as was our room. I had to purchase room freshener to help with the unpleasant odors. The breakfast choices were very limited and nearby restaurants were nearly non-existent. Overall, I was unpleasantly surprised that a Hilton property could be in such a condition. I understand the building is currently being renovated, but our room had items removed from the wall leaving only the mounting brackets. There were also holes in the walls behind the table that was shoved into the corner. If renovation work in a guest room has not been completed, it should not be made available. I would guess that due to the number of visitors in the area due to a major event at nearby Barber Motorsports Park, management decided to take advantage of the situation.

The receptionist was very friendly and efficient. As for the room there was no tissue (on back order), no clean towels even though they were asked for, the breakfast was not restocked when items were depleted s the attendant was out taking her children to school. In effect, the worst Hampton Inn we have ever stayed at.

This was by far THE WORST Hampton Inn we have ever stayed in. The floor in the bathroom of our room was so sticky our shoes stuck to the floor. My husband tried to clean it with a towel and the towel was black. The property manager came up and mopped the floor. The breakfast was disgusting and cold. No butter or cream cheese out for the toast and bagels. We left without breakfast because it was so bad. The young lady who was supposed to be taking care of things seemed to be hiding in the kitchen. Guests had to knock on the door to get her to come out and give them supplies.
