Courtyard by Marriott Kingston

The hotel itself was nice, however the pool and gym were closed due to renovations. I brought my kids on a ski trip from New Jersey and the one reason I booked this hotel was for the pool and hot tub after skiing. It’s inexcusable that Expedia does not give you that information prior to booking. I’ve been a long time customer to Expedia but no longer.

Property just not well maintained, urine stains on our toilet upon arrival, no soap in the dispensers, gym lacking equipment, no complimentary breakfast offered, fridge too small compared to other hotels. We have stayed at the hotel across the street and that is a much better stay.

Great hotel and great staff . Nice pool ,whirlpool and exercise room . Nice sitting area and breakfast and dinner area . Overall great hotel

Only went for the use of the hot tub was broke the whole stay

The property was nice, the room was large and comfortable. Very clean as well. Was a little deceiving on the restaurant/food/bar. There isn’t one ! It’s more like a counter u went to and there was not a lot to order and was very expensive( open couple hours in morning and couple in evening only )The bar was a 6 foot counter with three chairs and only open for a few hours in the evening.

Let me tell you about the lemon water in the front counter❤️❤️❤️💪💪💪💪. Overall was an excellent experience we use the pool and it was great. The only thing that I’ll say is that the pool was way too chlorinated. You can smell it strong walking up to the door but other than that perfect I enjoyed it. The rooms were clean. The beds were very comfortable. Bathrooms were clean.

The only thing is that the pool and hot tub are unavailable due to renovations.

Pleasant room and clean. Jacuzzi jets didn’t work. So that was a letdown. Complimentary lobby coffee was watery and had to be discarded.

Very clean and everything appeared to have been updated. My husband was especially pleased with the Tesla chargers.

When checking in the staff offered my sister and I connecting rooms. Rooms were clean, nice area for families to relax, eat, hang out in the lobby- also ideal for those who need to work. Complimentary coffee in the lobby was pretty good. The pool was nice and warm and hot tub was nice. Only point of concern I had was the fact that my bathing suit somehow got bleached during one of my pool days! Would definitely stay again.

Overall, the place was clean, spacious, and had a good supply of hot water. However, I found a few strands of hair under the pillow, so the cleanliness wasn’t entirely satisfactory. That said, it was generally clean and quiet, so I would consider staying here again.

Nice staff and hotel is clean

When u get out of the elevator on the second floor you are greeted by a stench of spoiled food, old laundry and poop. The smell lingers into the room. While the room was big and seemed recent, the small couch in the corner had a massive white stain that seemed recent and just ignored by staff

General amenities and staff services were good. The rooms were not fresh though. Could not stay in the initial room assigned because it smelled moldy and stuffy. Got another room which was better but it didn't smell fresh and clean either.

This was my second stay at this Marriott. I stayed for four nights each time. The staff always greets you when you come in and is so helpful! The facility is very clean and very quiet. The beds are absolutely spectacular so comfortable! It’s easy on and easy off to all the highways & is centrally located. The pool was warm and clean. The hot tub was so cozy everything there was absolutely excellent. It’s close to everything in Kingston. There is shopping many restaurants and local attractions. I highly recommend this hotel. I am a clean freak and super picky. To me the cleaning standards here are excellent. That’s rare in a hotel these days.

Did not meet expectations and certainly was not up to Marriott standards. Room smelled of disinfectant, drawer pulls were broken, lamps were tilted.

Rooms were extremely clean. Bed was so comfortable, free am coffee was delicious.

impossible to sleep due to hotel proximity to rail road track. the train blows it noisy horn approx. every hour ALL NIGHT. Awful place!!!

During check-in we had to wait almost 15 minutes as clerk was overwhelmed with a phone call, someone trying to check-in and other guest requesting assistance. Clerk was very friendly and professional! There should have been someone there to assist her as the hotel was full. Two negatives - WIFI was very poor, almost unusable and room charge was almost $500 per night. I understand the principles of supply and demand but a bill of close to $1,000.00 for two nights in Kingston is too expensive. This borders on price gouging as hotel options in the area are limited.

Clean and modern. Only one issue was the ac was making weird noises waking me up a bunch.

DO NOT stay here. Way too noisy and expensive. You can hear every step from the rooms above you and every step your neighboring rooms take sounds like elephants in your room. The curtains were separate panels and you could not close them all the way leaving light shining into your room all night long.

Accommodations nice as pictured. Lighting is very limited and I could not read a book from my bed.

Checked in late at night. The next morning I had housekeeping knocking on my door while I was asleep. They demanded I open the door then told me to call the lobby to let them know my name. Apparently there was another party with the same last name. I don’t mind the mix up, but housekeeping made me feel like a criminal.

I got there super late and all my friend and I wanted to do was get our room and relax and get some sleep before work in the morning! I live semi locally and was told I had to wait for approval to stay because of this!! I had personal reasons why I couldn’t stay home that night which I felt was no one’s business and as 2 adults checking into a room that I had already paid for it shouldn’t matter where I live!!! I paid a decent amount of money to literally stay from 11pm and was gone by 7am!! I just wanted a safe and comfortable place to shower and sleep and to have to wait for permission from a supervisor was ridiculous!! Basically saying they don’t want locals which blows my mind!! Then I was so exhausted and the room, floors, and bedding all looked immaculate so I didn’t feel the need to do a thorough inspection but when I woke up the next morning I sure wish I did!! The sheets and pillow case I slept on had what looked like blood on it!! I was so grossed out I made myself late to work because I felt like I just had to shower again!! I then brought it to the attention of the lady who checked us out and she gave me a bit of an attitude because I didn’t bring it up during the night but like I said I never saw it till the morning!! Nothing was done or said or any kind of a refund or even an apology!! I will never go back there again!! Which is sad because for the most part everything else was really nice and clean but the lady at the desk needs customer service training!

The facility was excellent as always. However, I found the receptionist upon arrival a bit aloof. She wouldnt even give eye contact throughout the entire transaction, it came across as aloof at best, disrespectful at worse.

It was a very nice stay. I liked Ramona at the front desk; she was super polite and helpful. We requested extra blankets before checking in over the phone. Although she was busy with other guests, as it was check-in time, she made sure we got the blankets when we arrived at the hotel. Thank you!

It was fine, staff was lovely, just a lot of little things weren’t well maintained or designed. Drippy shower head, shower wallpaper peeling because hot showers, not enough electric plugs near bed, only two tissues in tissue box, no USB ports. A bit out of date and needing a freshen-up. It’s not near uptown or downtown, it’s in the mall area, yet there’s no safe way to walk to the many restaurant offerings on the strip. In sum: reasonably priced and quite acceptable, just not great.

Great location near the highway. We were un town for our sons bowling tournament. Easy check in. As soon as we got into the room it smelled so clean in there! The pool was so warm and the hot tub was a nice treat. The hostess at the check-in was very helpful when we were asking her opinion on what the best 3 italian restaurants were. She directed us and we had an AMAZING dinner. The bed was so confortable and we sleptbin til 8am! Thank you for a great experience!

Nice rooms and welcoming staff. Convenient to shopping and restaurants. Next to old shopping mall that seems to be on its last leg.

Location by an almost deserted shopping mall makes the area feel unsafe.

there was no signage on roads approaching the property identifying its location and the building is not visible from adjacent roads. We drove a 4 mile circle around the location it was supposed to be - then turned into the Residence Inn to inquire when we were finally able to see it.

Nice spot along I-87 to stop. Dining options and a Target 100 yards away. Nice place. A little tricky to get to from 87 but the GPS gives good directions. 87 is limited access toll road so the exit is about 2 miles away.

Nice clean room. Fast food breakfast with Starbucks coffee was just ok.

The pace was excellent except the breakfast it was dry out like it was reheated , Coffey was excellent

Charging for any breakfast is ridiculous in this day and age. food choices are sub-standard.

Hiram was excellent. Not within walking distance to any restaurants or bars. Did have drinks at hotel bar. Happy hour was fine but bartender did not let us know happy hour was ending and beers doubled in price.

Everything is good except the food situation. They sell breakfast items which is fine. Food has no flavor in spite of all its fancy ingredients and the price that matches listed ingredients. I think they can do quite a bit better with same ingredients and pricing.
