Friendly and efficient staff. The property was clean and well attended to. Plenty of lounge chairs available at the pools and the beach. Lacks other beach-side amenities such as paddleboards, volleyball, etc.

Hotel is beautiful. The staff is great. One elevator was out of commission .

Beach access was great, very clean place. The outside bar needs to update their music choice, the music was elevator music which was not very upbeat or entertaining. The breakfast could use some better options and only 1 person making omelets took a long time to get your food. They put us in a building the elevator was broken. We had a first time visiting couple with us and we just couldn’t do the stairs and had to be moved. They should have never put anyone in a building when the elevator doesn’t work.

The room was clean and the staff was friendly. Food and drink were good. Nice location at Playa Norte. The only downsides were that our building's elevator, hot tub plug, and the fridge in our room was not was working during our stay. Overall a great stay with a few minor inconveniences.

I enjoyed the island overall. The pool and beach services were great. The beach area in front of our hotel is clean and nice. The staff is friendly and helpful. We enjoyed a lot our couple massage, a 5 star service. Food was great, it was remarkable actually. Now here are a few things I did not particularly like. First, Expedia did not send us on time the email with the ferry tickets so we ended up paying those and couldn't get a refund at the end of our trip (after paying for a bundle package), even though we contacted the local transportation agency and Expedia customer service several times. Second, I emailed the hotel a few weeks prior to our trip to let them know about my husband's birthday. We never received the special courtesy in the room that they mentioned, but they finally managed to get him a mini cake at the restaurant on his birthday night. Another thing is worth mentioning, the hotel ambiance is down after 10pm. There's no bar open or disco til 2am like in other resorts. I guess it is a place just to rest and unwind. You do have 24h room service. In general, we did enjoy our trip and the island is charming. We even met some locals and they're great. I found a free snorkeling area near Mia hotel. We walked around a lot to find that spot. Thank you for having us :)

The room was clean and very nice. The air conditioning was great, we actually got too cold a few times. The views on the patio are amazing! The beach is so beautiful and there was plenty of seating. The pool and swim up bar are so nice!!

Quiet and relaxing property right on Playa Norte! The air conditioning didn’t work well nor did the jacuzzi. Overall, I still enjoyed my stay.

We love Privilege Aluxes - this was our 5th time visiting! The resort is intimate and has a laid back vibe - which we love. Everything is clean and well maintained. We feel very safe on and off the property. Food options are all good. We love to spend time at the beach where we can catch sun or relax in the shade. Bar service to our loungers is an added bonus! We also love the pool with a swim up bar and options for sun or shade. The bar service is top notch! Be sure to take an insulated cup so your ice doesn't melt too fast! The only thing really lacking at either is music. We had a small speaker but would have enjoyed beachy bar music. We will definitely be back!

It was a good overall stay. The elevator in our building was under construction the whole week so going up 3-4 floors wasn’t fun, but not the end of the world. Food was good and the people are super sweet. Beach was great and clean. Love the island

Great staff and clean room

The property was wonderful. Staff was always pleasant and helpful. The only issues I had was the smell of sewer gas was often present between the pool and Sabor, and we had a few days were we needed maintenance to adjust the shower so we had hot water. Other than that the food was EXCELLENT and the facilities were amazing. Isla Mujeres is a wonderful place just 20 minutes on a ferry from Cancun. I would recommend the island and Privilege Aluxes to anyone!

Beautiful hotel, clean, great food, great pool and the beach access and view was great!

We had a ton of mold in our shower and it took half of our stay in order for them to actually come and clean it. Had to beg them three times to get it actually clean. Front counter and management people were great, but the food at all of the restaurants was absolutely terrible and everyone else on the property seemed inconvenienced when we asked for anything. I would not stay here again.

We stayed at Privilege for a week in August during our trip to snorkel with whale sharks and chose Privilege specifically because it's Adult Only and walkable to the village as well as the Dive Shop and other conveniences. We did Carry-On only for this trip and so walked from the Ferry Dock to the Resort, which took about 10 minutes and was a lovely way to introduce ourselves to the area. Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly with a glass of champagne. We were interested in upgrading from the Garden Suite we had booked, and after discussing possible options we were shown the Premium Suite with Whirlpool Bath and opted to keep that Suite (Room 242: Building 2, 4th Floor, Suite 2; a spacious Suite with a separate kitchen/living room and bedroom, each with their own sliding glass doors leading to the expansive balcony with whirlpool tub. it had great views and a mid-resort location overlooking the pools and ocean). *a tip that always works for us: book a room you won't mind staying in if the Resort is at capacity but wait to upgrade until you're onsite. Then ask to see different options in person and politely ask for the best price. The kind Concierge at Privilege was able to offer us a very steep discount because the Resort was under capacity. The Resort/Grounds were very clean, and the beach was top class. Dining options were varied and delicious, and the Customer Service was extraordinary (a special shout out to our favorite Bartender, Morales!) We'll be back!

Staff, weather and beach were amazing! This was our second time at the resort and overall we did enjoy ourselves. The only complaint would be cleanliness of the area just outside the rooms. Part might have been guests but the food from room service that was left outside was messy. We did ask for the area to be clean / swept up. After 24 hours, dishes were gone but food remained.

It’s our third time at this property, always a great time. Property is clean, nice, probably one of the best in the island.

Great place. Stayed in a giant 2 level condo/room. Room #632. Has a roof top pool and large sun deck area. Spacious living area and bedroom with 2 bathrooms. Beautiful 360° views. Was really expensive for the upgrade, but… we said “why not”. 4th time in Isla Mujeres. Breakfast at the beach bar area was awesome. Same with lunch. Coffee machine in the room is terrible, grab a fresh brewed cappuccino at the bar near the restaurant. Will prob come back again in a year or 2. Nice pool area also. Great beach area is part of the hotel. Just do it. Book it. Peace and love.

Lack of communication between staff made things very difficult at times. The photos of our room said it had a balcony, but there was none which made our room extremely small. Great bathroom and food was a hit or miss. Staff ant the front reception were very friendly, but the staff at restaurants were not, staff at the restaurants were not accommodating at all for a party of 4 or more. One of our party’s AC was not working and they told her that it was her fault that she didn’t know how to work it. She complained again and they then told her she just had the fan on- not the ac. The third day, they told her it was broken and moved her to a room that had just become available. We were given the run around on multiple different things as well such as room service and our mini fridge. Very loud! Room walls were very thin.

Personal e instalaciones muy bien, nos quedamos en la habitacion mas basica, a pesar de que esta muy pequeña igual esta bien (digo tampoco nos costo muy barato que digamos pero bueno) Lo que si tengo queja, es en la habitacion en si, no vengo a estar viendo la tele pero de repente ya cansada de la playa, la alberca, si se nos antojaba recostarnos un rato a ver una pelicula, y pues 3 veces tuvieron que cambiarnos la TV, en una de esas veces el joven nos comento que ya sabian que esa tele (la segunda que nos pusieron) que no servia, entonces porque poner algo que no sirve. La misma hostoria con la plancha para la ropa. El refri bar!! Lo necesitabamos si o si, por cuestiones de medicamentos, llegamos y no servia, lo "arreglaron" y lo dejamos asi toda la noche, al la mañana siguiente, caliente, llamamos, nos llevaron otro pero inmediatamente lo regresamos (lo acabanan de pintar ) con pintura de spray, ya se imaginaran el olor, y en la habitacion tan pequeña, o tenia ni 3 min. Y ya estaba apestososisimo el cuarto, si ya saben que los refribars no sirven porque no los arreglan desde un principio, hasta el 3ero fue cuando decidieron sacar uno literalmente nuevo!! Porque hasta entonces?? Es incomodo estar llame y llame y que esten dentro de nuestra habitacion constantemente. En resumidas, si se trata de instalaciones o atencion del personal ( a excepcion de una muchacha en recepcion, la cual no agarre su nombre ,error mio, fue quien se porto pues menos amable por asi decirlo).

It is a beautiful hotel however our room was pretty small. It was fine for what we paid but room service wasn’t as good as the other services.

Nice small resort, the beach is public and it’s a good distance from the lounge chairs to the water. The liquor is cheap and burns, id stick with beer and wine. Friendly staff and cool clean rooms. Noisy daycare or school next door that begins screaming at 7am.

Location. Everything near which made it a little noisy but fare trade off.

The property architecture is appealing. The decor is simple yet elegant. Guest rooms could use storage drawer space. However, the bathroom is large and convenient for toiletries and ease of showering. The all inclusive breakfast has everything and anything you could ask for displayed beautifully and restocked constantly. The grounds and the pool areas are clean and well maintained. Privilege will be our new "go to" property on the island.

We had a superior room, city view. It was small but perfect for our needs. Nice, private balcony.

Disappointed and Misled – Not Worth the Hype Our experience at Privilege Aluxes Isla Mujeres started off on the wrong foot and unfortunately never recovered. When we checked in, the man at the front desk completely misled us. He overcharged us, and what was worse, he promised us a free bottle of alcohol as part of our booking. When we followed up that evening to get the bottle, we were told we’d have to wait until tomorrow. Fine, we waited. But when we asked again the next day, we were told that the offer didn’t apply to our room. Really? Then why was it promised to us at check-in? The whole situation felt like a bait-and-switch. Between the overcharging and the false promises, it left a really bad impression. For a place that claims to be all about service and relaxation, this was the opposite. Definitely not the experience we expected, and we won’t be coming back. Be careful and double-check everything before you agree to anything.

Once you leave the lobby, the staff don't seem eager to serve. Pathetic for an all-inclusive resort.

Loved the property and great location. I didn’t like that the pool bar closes at 6pm and good luck getting ahold of room service. I tried several times and never once able to get ahold of them.

The staff went above and beyond for anything we requested. Service is top notch.

The only thing I didn’t like was the checking process which I am aware is at 3pm but my knee was swollen and I asked for early check in so I can rest my knee and we were dismissed completely repeatedly saying we will have your room ready at 3pm.’Food was amazing. The staff were very friendly. The beach club is beautiful. The drinks at the pool bar were very good as well. Our room was beautiful and comfortable. We had a great time overall.

The location and view it had . Would stay again, but some staff were a bit rude and didn’t give off that professional hospitality . So kinda upset in regards to that

We had an amazing time! The staff and facility was 1st class! Raul was our server at the beach club and made our stay memorable. Greta also was great, Jonatan, Fernando (Captain), Alan, Dani……all of these staff members were five stars!!! We will be returning every year! Thank you!

Overall was a good stay. Housekeeping did not clean the room one day after a 2nd request, bottle of alcohol was never provided but was told we would get it. Certain staff members go above and beyond to make up for those that did less than expected. Food was good, beach bar was excellent.

We have poor service on the staff and spoiled salsa and spoiled vegetables on the omelette. it looks like the stuff only takes care of the white people.

PA is a great location, convenient access to drink and good food service right on the beach, Edwin, Morales, and Dani go the extra step to make sure your stay is incredible! 2nd time at this resort, very safe. If you do have an issue with your room, it is handled immediately, definitely worth the trip.

Loved the location and view of the ocean. Easy walk from ferry. Pool was fantastic. Concierge took care of golf cart rentals. Hotel decor is well done.

The location of this property is perfect. Walking distance from the ferry and pretty much on the beach. Directions to the main entrance could be a little clearer but we eventually found it. The staff is exceptional and even welcomed us with a glass of champagne. The rooms are definitely dated and could definitely be cleaner as there was hair in the corners of the room and in the shower. The towels were very old and hard and crunchy, I did not appreciate that. They offered us the all inclusive option for $60 which we did for one day. The breakfast is included in the stay was pretty decent. However, the dinner option at the steakhouse was AWFUL! It was served Brazilian churascharia style. They had 6 different meat 3 of which were pork and we don't eat pork. When they did bring the steaks over they served us the most meager portions possible. And when we asked for more they had an issue with that. We explained that we had barely eaten the entire time and one server took pity on us and brought us back a second slice of steak. We left there hungry and went to eat elsewhere. They only serve bottom shelf liquor with Jose Cuervo being the only tequila option. Once I asked the bartender at the pool if there were any top shelf option he responded "Do you see any?" Overall the stay was fine but this resort is definitely not 4 or 5 star worthy. It's a 3 at best. If you do decide to stay here eat at one of the many restaurants 2 blocks away. They were all amazing!

The location could not have been more centrally located to North Beach, the malecon, and centro. There were a couple of staff members, Jose (bellman) and the wonderful lady who was the omelette chef who deliver exemplary world class service. The room was clean and well maintained. The property was more elegantly designed and appointed than was evident to me prior to booking. Beach time - lounging by the beach at this property is far less than ideal. First, you have a minuscule amount of space from the time you step into the ocean until you reach the buoy. Swimming is impossible because people are compacted in the tiniest area I’ve ever seen. Swimming on the other side of the buoy is highly inadvisable because right up to the buoy and alongside it boats of all types are constantly speeding by or yelling from loud speakers on party catamarans for everyone to clear the water so they can dock in the tiny area allotted to this hotel. Despite staying in an oceanfront property we had to pay for visits to other beach clubs in the area that were alongside better strips of the beach with more access. We purchased AI solely to enjoy drinks and snacks on the beach, as we knew from other reviews dinner service was not good. Service ranged from apathetic to surly & the food was inedible. Drinks were equally bad. Watched a Paloma being made, it was a glass of Fresca & splash of tequila. We gave up after Day 2 and opted for beach clubs we paid for during the remaining days of our stay.

Great location. Right off the main strip by still very private and low key. It was the best of both worlds. Plus they have their own beach club too. Amazing.

Privilege Aluxes is an adult only property located near North Beach. It is centrally located with a short walk to gorgeous beaches, shopping, and dining.

Excellent location and loved that you can walk everywhere!! We will definitely be back!

P/A was our first experience in Mexico and was truly an amazing experience! My only wish , was that they had buffet options for lunch and dinner like they do breakfast. Was there with my husband to relax and enjoy time together. We will definitely be back!

Food was horrible

The food was average but the steak house and the Asian restaurant were delicious. The service was mediocre, some servers were there just for a job as well as the bartenders. This is more of a relaxing resort not alot going on. They did have one fire show during a 7 day stay. I didn’t care for the music at the bars, it was instrumental.

This is the second time we have stayed at the property. The first time we stayed about 5 years ago. Property since then has lost about half a star as the service attendance has decreased slightly and the food portions are very small. Due to this, I highly recommend that you only get the breakfast only package. Breakfast continues to be quite good and robust. I still recommend the property for its amazing beach and proximity to Isla Mujeres's Main Street, which continues to have top class restaurants no matter the cuisine you choose.

I have been to Privleges 6 times now. The only thing I found to be underwhelming was the food. Everything else was on point.

Service could have been better and dining options weren’t great.

We stayed at Privileges Aluxes in April 2025, and I would highly recommend staying there. Housekeeping kept our room spotless, the grounds around the pool were beautifully kept and the beach was incredible! We went with the all inclusive option - the breakfast buffet had a wide variety of options and the food was good, as can be expected for a buffet catering to lots of people. The pool and beach restaurants were excellent, food was hot and arrived quickly. Sabor restaurant was wonderful, I highly recommend their Tiramisu! Satay was amazing, but their service was slow - it took about 45 minutes to get our entrees after our appetizers. The only negative that really bothered me about this resort was when we tried booking a boat tour through the hotel. We wanted a glass bottom boat specifically and the worker booking tours tried selling us on a sunset boat ride and told us there was no glass bottom boat tour on the island and we would have to go to Cancun. I understand trying to promote the tours your hotel is offering, but this was blatantly lying to guests. We had looked into these boats prior to arriving, so the next day we booked an incredible glass bottom boat tour a few blocks away from the resort. Overall, it's a well maintained, high quality resort and you can tell the staff take pride in their work!

This place was simply amazing. My wife and i spent 7 days here and all were great. All of the people working here were the best they were all so nice and worked their butts off. From the second we walked in it was a great experience we were greeted with cooling towers and champaign while waiting to check in. food was good the rodizio night was the best and satay was second. Room service also great they were so fast and we ordered the breakfast room service 1 day for 7am and it was at our room at exactly 7am. room was great and the and the people that came and cleaned the room every day did an amazing job and also left us some surprises like champaign and towels folded like swans with rose pedals on our bed. they knew it was out anniversary so that probably explains that. beach is the most amazing I've ever been to not a single piece of sea weed. will defiantly be back.

This property was great! The food was amazing. The drinks were pretty weak, and their was not much for entertainment.
