Clean, spacious, close to everything! We loved Amaya at the front desk, she was so helpful and the after hours check in was simple. The room was beautiful with a huge outdoor patio including table and chairs. The living room and room each had a door to the patio. The bed was comfortable and clean. The location is very close walking distance to the beach and old town, and there’s a restaurant, and small grocery store right downstairs! The hotel provided coffee pods in the room with a coffee maker in the reception area. There is a small refrigerator in the room. We really enjoyed everything, and appreciate the wonderful service.

Fantastiskt läge i San Sebastián, nära till pulsen men ändå lugnt kvarter. Lite svårt att hitta plats att stå för att lasta av, men bra lösning sen med parkeringsgarage som hotellet löste med gott om plats även för stor bil. Mycket vänlig och hjälpsam service. Saknade lite krokar att hänga upp handdukar och kläder på vilket skulle vara en möjlig förbättring på detta fina boende.

I could not have been happier with Pensión Garibai. Yes, the room is small, but ultra modern. You can’t beat the location in Centro just a five minute walk from Old Town and the main beach. Due to its small size, reception is only open from 9:00 AM to 7 PM , but that should not be an issue for most people. There is a 24 hour coffee machine just off the lobby. Ana, who was the receptionist for the week I was there is a delight. She gave me an excellent restaurant recommendation and can help with other recommendations as needed. She booked a cab to the airport for me before she left yesterday, and it showed up right on time this morning well before reception opened. The rooms are immaculately cleaned every day. I highly recommend this perfectly located Pensión for your stay in San Sebastián Donedta.

Great intro from reception with lots of info but daytime reception coverage only. Free coffee very nice when machine worked (failure happened out of hours!). Like many others we struggled to know what button to press (it’s the one with the big blue P) to gain access (within hours) and struggled even more to understand if we were talking to a real person or an automated voice. Just requires a more detailed check in procedure and a few pictures.

It is very central within easy walking distance to the old town, beaches, new town and the bus terminal. Staff is very friendly. As previous reviewers mentioned, the sign for the place is small on the ground floor and the bigger sign is on the 1st floor so need to look up especially on the 1st day of arrival.

Quick checkin , friendly staff and nice room, There was good amount of shampoo and soap in the bathroom and it was clean. The place was very quiet and comfortable. You are right in the middle of the city and so close to the beach so this is a very good place to be at when in Donostia

The hotel was in a great location, no frills but super value for money. There is NO parking though, the hotel website is clear about this (it is payable local @ €29 a day). Expedia website is not clear, it does not mention the additional cost, they say that the hotel has parking. It does not.

An absolute gem of a property in San Sebastian. We spent three days here...walking distance to everything. Room was very clean and well appointed. The staff made the trip...recommendations for where to eat, how to find the best cheesecake in Spain, and recommendations for sightseeing. She even booked us an early morning taxi to the train station. I would definitely recommend this property.

The hotel is very nice, clean etc. there is no front desk employee after 7pm The neighborhood is VERY NOISY. Yelling and loud conversations— until about 3am. Very difficult to get sleep. Obviously. Hotel should supply earplugs. Not being dramatic here.

Lovely elegant old building, cute Juliet balcony, gorgeous bedding, super soft divine pillows, a short walk to the beach, railway station, shops, restaurants, cafes etc. Absolutely beautiful clean place & a very helpful friendly receptionist, Ana, who gave us lots of useful tips & info. Fabulous! Really enjoyed our stay here & would happily return.

I could not have been happier with Pensión Garibai. Yes, the room is small, but ultra modern. You can’t beat the location in Centro just a five minute walk from Old Town and the main beach. Due to its small size, reception is only open from 9:00 AM to 7 PM , but that should not be an issue for most people. There is a 24 hour coffee machine just off the lobby. Ana, who was the receptionist for the week I was there is a delight. She gave me an excellent restaurant recommendation and can help with other recommendations as needed. She booked a cab to the airport for me before she left yesterday, and it showed up right on time this morning well before reception opened. The rooms are immaculately cleaned every day. I highly recommend this perfectly located Pensión for your stay in San Sebastián Donedta.

Great intro from reception with lots of info but daytime reception coverage only. Free coffee very nice when machine worked (failure happened out of hours!). Like many others we struggled to know what button to press (it’s the one with the big blue P) to gain access (within hours) and struggled even more to understand if we were talking to a real person or an automated voice. Just requires a more detailed check in procedure and a few pictures.

It is very central within easy walking distance to the old town, beaches, new town and the bus terminal. Staff is very friendly. As previous reviewers mentioned, the sign for the place is small on the ground floor and the bigger sign is on the 1st floor so need to look up especially on the 1st day of arrival.

The hotel is very nice, clean etc. there is no front desk employee after 7pm The neighborhood is VERY NOISY. Yelling and loud conversations— until about 3am. Very difficult to get sleep. Obviously. Hotel should supply earplugs. Not being dramatic here.

Clean, spacious, close to everything! We loved Amaya at the front desk, she was so helpful and the after hours check in was simple. The room was beautiful with a huge outdoor patio including table and chairs. The living room and room each had a door to the patio. The bed was comfortable and clean. The location is very close walking distance to the beach and old town, and there’s a restaurant, and small grocery store right downstairs! The hotel provided coffee pods in the room with a coffee maker in the reception area. There is a small refrigerator in the room. We really enjoyed everything, and appreciate the wonderful service.

A wonderful night. Wish I had longer! Staff was very helpful and friendly. Room was comfortable and the bed was amazing. My best night’s sleep in Spain. The area had so many restaurants and bars to choose from. A beautiful beach is less than two blocks!

The hotel was in a great location, no frills but super value for money. There is NO parking though, the hotel website is clear about this (it is payable local @ €29 a day). Expedia website is not clear, it does not mention the additional cost, they say that the hotel has parking. It does not.

Pension Garibai was everything we needed for this trip. It was clean, bed was comfortable, secure, and cold air conditioning. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. I would def recommend to anyone who need simple accommodations. I would stay there again.

Perfectly located for easy swimming on the beach. Walked twice and the outdoor terrace was perfect for drying my clothes after the beach. Coffee machine wasn’t working while I was there. The electronics on the front door stopped working around 10:00 pm the night before I left. Myself and many other guests were locked out for an hour and a half before being able to go to our rooms again. Staff showed up after I called but didn’t bring the right physical key to enter the other door into the floor. When I contacted the pensión to request a discount for the inconvenience? Silence. A disappointing response after an otherwise very nice stay.

We had a great stay at Pension Garibai. The location is simply perfect-minutes from La Concha and minutes from the Old Town. The bed was comfortable and the coffee maker in the lobby was very convenient. Shower is good, the restaurant downstairs is excellent (Bideluze) and we would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting San Sebastián!
