Inn on Onset Bay

Very limited parking. Tight parking spaces.

Beautiful old Inn. We got an upgraded room. Facing the beach was great. Only big problem is that I just had knee replacement surgery a month ago. Our room was on the second floor with a narrow, rickety big flight of stairs. That was tough on me. Kevin, the manager, was very helpful. The a/c was nice and cold. Bed was fine. Shower was great. Had a small fridge and microwave. Another problem was the parking. We came home two of our three night stay, about 10pm and had to park on the corner of the road. Having a rental car we were nervous about the car being hit.

Cute inn just across from the beach. Buildings are older and each room is different. Parking is limited.

Good location to walk to beach and restaurants. Property could use some TLC. Although our room was newly renovated, the outdoor areas are cramped and in need of repairs. Stairs were steep and difficult for anyone over 35. Nice mini fridge, microwave, sink, etc but we didn’t stay long enough to use them.

Nice sized room and great view of the water. On a busy road so a bit noisy. Outdoor sitting area very close to room so could hear revelry till v late one night. Rain prevented it the other two nights. Clean and tidy room.

The cup where with the sugars for coffee was crawling with ants from previous sugar spills. Not fun. Couldn't temperature control the air conditioning and woke up freezing at 3AM. Turned it off for good. To get to the second floor there's a spiral staircase not wide enough for the luggage Room had a very nice view of the Bay

Pros: Awesome location, restaurants in walking distance and beach so close I got to bathe and jog on an empty beach in the morning. Bed was so comfy and I liked the mounted TV with swivel. CCTV cameras for safety and a cute little hangout area with a grill. Cons: The room was hot. Even though I left the AC on for a couple hours but it did not get cool until I turned on the ceiling fan. The AC filter was disgustingly dirty(which could attribute to why the room was not cooling) and there was no house keeping(Dont know if this is a con to me personally since I like to keep my own stuff tidy, but for others this could be a deal breaker.) and based on the location of my room there was a window that has no shade installed that lets in annoying natural sunlight that will wake you up from a deep sleep in the early mornings. Plus the location of the shade on the window in the bathroom did not provide the cover of all areas of the bathroom and this is next to the front door so I had to kind of jimmy a towel over the shade to cover(207). Overall a good place to stay at to explore Onset. The beach was across the street, my room had an ocean side view and it was street side but I hardly heard noise. Even though there were Cons I think if the facility focuses on fixing those things for me personally it would be kind of perfect for a visit and for others wanting to visit a town I consider as a quaint oasis of sea breeze .

The Inn was very charming, we liked sitting on the front porch in the morning to drink our coffee with a view of the bay. Access to the beach and nearby restaurants was walkable and very convenient

We had a wonderful stay at The Inn on Onset Bay. Our room was immaculate with a spacious. modern bathroom. The mattresses were so comfortable. Our room had a microwave, fridge and sink which was very nice. There was a veranda off our room that overlooked the harbor. Fantastic! There’s a patio where you can relax and bbq if you so wish. The management was so friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay here again.

Bathroom had some hair on the floor in a few spots. They have a system designed to be protective of power, which requires a card to turn the power on to the room. The issue there is a musty smell since the AC is not running while the room is empty.

Nice place - old - quaint - room has been partially renovated (not top notch but adequate) - ***IMPORTANT NOTE - AC UNIT NEEDS CLEANING - BLOWING MOLDY SMELL - NOTICED BLACK SPOTS INSIDE OF LOUVERS- TURNED OFF AND OPENED DOORS AND USED FANS ALL NIGHT - MOLDY SMELL DISPERSED AND HAD A GOOD NIGHT- SHOULD CLEAN IT BEFORE SOMEONE GETS LEGIONNAIRES DISEASE **** Other than that not a bad stay - great spot on the bay - Person on desk needs some customer service training (not very friendly)

The mice dropping on the floor and on end table. Dirt and dust under furniture. Air conditioner was not working properly.. The owner or maintenance personnel stated he would give us a refund and we left.

Only given two towels for a three night stay. Never come to clean room or replace towels. Run down. Not worth the price paid for room. No dressers or cabinets to unpack clothes.

Property has a great view in a really nice spot. Nice outdoor area. Rooms are old and the entire place needs renovation. Carpets were heavily stained, old bathrooms, old air conditioner, no housekeeping at all, we were given 2 towels for 2 people for 2 nights. overall place needs renovations and cleaning.

Great view- small room but clean (other than old carpeting with stains). Appreciated the small Fridge and microwave. Would stay here again- so close to the restaurants and beach

Really loved the view. The bay is a 30 second walk across the street. There was food still in the fridge from the last guest and used keurig pod in a cup on the desk. Otherwise, the room was clean. We should have locked the door, but got a knock on the door at midnight while we were sleeping, and an immediate entry from what we think was the innkeeper.

Second time staying here and the location can't be beat. The inn is clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay

It was a great stay. Very quiet, very quaint, good view of the bay. Cute town to walk around. You can tell the room has been painted recently, bathroom remodeled. It is decorated with charm. It is NOT modern, which we loved. It is a very well taken care of Victorian house. Owner was super friendly, and very accommodating. I accidentally left my iPad under the pillow, and he shipped it to my home! Overall- superior stay in a charming little town.

Arrived later than expected but someone came quickly when I dialed the number on the office door. He showed us a parking spot and led us to our 2nd floor room. Nice corner room with windows overlooking the water. Only negative was an oval decorative window that had no shade so as soon as the sun came up that light was right got in our eyes!

Room is fine but bathroom is extremely small. There’s no people at the little office and no cleaning services at all. The town is beautiful and the food at Marc Anthony is delicious.

Very good experience we had an issue with our room due to how the capacity was on Expedia, they went above and beyond to make early reservation available for us

Parking is a joke if you have anything larger than a compact car. The office was unattended both times we went in there. Our room was not what we expected. There was a gap between the bottom of the door and the threshhold, and we could see daylight through it. There was long brown hair on top of the bedspread and in the bathroom (I have blonde hair). The area around there is okay, but not what we expected for our first visit to the Cape Cod area. Thankfully it was only 2 nights. We booked it because we wanted to stay somewhere that looked like a typical New England B&B instead of a chan hotel and this was far from it. If we ever visit the area, we will most definitely avoid Onset.

The owner Kevin is on site all the time and is very attentive, friendly and helpful. He was watering the plant beds in front of the property one day during our stay.

Great location and very helpful staff

The condo type suites , with beach directly across the street with walk path, bench to sit, peaceful. The Recsptionist , Shawn was amazing, accomadating, resourceful. The Owner is delightful, rooms are very clean, with the most comfy beds ive slept in from a hotel standpoint. Great food , views of ocean boats all in walking distance from the Inn on Onsett. Wonderful!

Staff is always fantastic. Requested a particular room, was told it was rented and when I arrived they made it available. Made for a comfortable stay.

The staff are so lovely and accomodating. It was a wonderful litte escape with a spectacular view.

The location is great with a nice view of Onset Bay. The inn is right on the road across from the bay. Traffic can get busy and a little noisy and parking is very limited. Check in was easy and the staff was great. Room was clean and large. close to places to grab a bite to eat.
