Clean bedroom and bathroom, very comfy bed and excellent location with offstreet parking. A top spot at an excellent price. Unfortunately the chain smokers next door meant we couldnt have the screen door open for 'fresh' air.

The oval is a compact 60's style motel that has been tastefully refurbished and decorated. Our king bed was very comfortable and tbe room was quiet. The motel is centrally located so you can walk to many attractions . The staff were helpfull and efficient. It is very comfortable for a short stay or eating out. One small problem reminiscent of old motels , while the water was nice and very hot it did vary in temperature if another cold tap was turned on elswhere so be careful not to leave young ones in the shower . Also small but I think an exhaust fan would be good for the bathroom. Overall very good value .

This hotel was fine for what it was a cheap room with a king size bed which was really comfortable. Very tired room though, very small and a bit old fashioned. The air-conditioning light illuminated the room making it hard to sleep. One night stay is definitely maximum.

Great motel, excellently located. Rooms are well-equipped, if slightly bijou. Bathroom is good too but use 2 bath mats when showering as no shower curtain and the floor tiles are slippery when wet.

This charming property has many of the features of a high quality building from the 1960s. Rooms are quite small, but very ckean and comfortable. Hydronic heating and electric blanket made it a cosy spot to return to after dinner out and an evening's performance at the excellent Ulumbarra Theatre. All these attractions were only a 15 min stroll away. Trafgic noise did not intrude despite being on a main road. The staff were very friendly and helpful. My request to avoid smelly air freshener was taken seriously. The room had been thoroughly aired and there was not a whiff of nasty chemical smells. This is now my preferred location to stay in Bendigo.

Nice motel. Comfortable rooms. One bed was nice a comfy the other had a serios sag in the middle making for an uncomfortable nights sleep. Lots of traffic noise.

I'm a pensioner who took her 4 grandchildren for an overnight stay. Unfortunately a can of coke was put in the freezer part of the bar fridge due to fridge not being cold, the can split and made a mess nothing major but I was told it stained. Because the 5 of us were squeezed into this tiny family room when cooking some toast for the children the smoke alarm constantly went off, no toast was burnt, no smoke. Then we were accused of taking the motel manual from the room, we never saw any manual and why would anyone want to take one of them. They took $200 from my account, disgusting behaviour from this so called business. See you at Vocat.

Carolyn and Michael were great, so helpful when I rang to confirm the booking. Good value for money, very close to the city centre, we walked down through the park. I was there with a disabled person and they seemed to really enjoy their stay.
