Cobblestone Hotel & Suites - Erie

The website indicated an exercise area. What is actually a very small room behind the laundry room. The exercise bench was broken, many of the dumbbells were missing. The treadmill was in my opinion too large for the room, no area to move freely. Water on the floor next to a bucket with water. Why even advertise an exercise room if the management take the time to equip properly?

Need more parking spaces.

Pool was closed.

The staff were pleasant. The pool and hot tub were not clean. The room was clean and tidy. Worth the money if you don't want to swim.

Easy check in. Staff was fruendly. Room was clean. Not enough towels. Fitness room very small. The bar is pointless. The restroom at the pool was messy. The pool and hot tub was nice. Easy to park. Near most everything. We had a nice stay. Breakfast was good.

Pool/ hot tub facilities , which was a major reason I chose this hotel, were “closed for maintenance “ 2 out of the 3 days of my stay. Parking lot was a sheet of ice and very treacherous for entire stay.

We stayed on a Monday night and there were not enough parking spaces. Many complaints.

The Pool area is very bad, we wouldn't go into the pool because of a slime on the side walls and water was cloudy. the rooms we stayed in were clean and comfortable and the cleaning people were very nice and accommodating. The breakfast was cooked in the same room as the laundry which was right behind the front desk. The bar the advertise was just part of the front desk area with a few bar stools. the photos are deceiving. all in all....if your looking for just a room to sleep that was clean that's what you get...no real lounge and the pool ....well I wouldn't swim in it.

Staff was friendly. Breakfast was good. My problem is I picked this hotel because it had an indoor pool; however, it was "closed for maintenance". I went in and it looked fine to me. The hot tub was bubbling. I would call before booking if you are counting on the pool being open.

The room was FILTHY - from the bed linens, to the carpet, to the mold in the shower and sink. The stench in the room, coming from what I believe was the AC, is nothing I can even describe. It was like old gym clothes that laid in the hot sun. The 25 hour free coffee in the lobby was empty. Our room reservation was nowhere to be found, but the staff went above and beyond to help and did give us a held room. On a positive note, the shower water pressure was great. Thankfully it was a single night stay.

Our room was clean and cared for. The overall facility appeared to be well maintained. The continental breakfast was good.

This room 304 smelled like it houses dogs for the last year. The cleaning girl gave us some air freshener that simply masked it. Went to go to bed there was hair in my bed and stains on the pillows. I called down front and was given new sheets that I had to put on this gross bed. I used my sweatshirt as a pillow and slept terribly. This place needs a deep clean and carpets shampooed. I wore my shoes the entire time. For almost $200 a night I expect a little more. Never again!!

Room felt dirty and it was...black hair on bathroom floor

I had expected this property to still be in better shape as it isn’t that old. The bathroom was dirty with a yellowing of an old shower curtain at the bottom. The mattress was stained and torn in many places. I only know this because the fitted sheet was not big enough for the bed so it kept pulling off. I wouldn’t sit on the couch even if it was the only place to sit in the room. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone! The Bayfront Parkway is right outside the window. I expected to hear cars and such but not like I was sitting right on the Parkway. No sound barrier whatsoever!

Nice location close to the lake. However, the room was noisy and damp. Both the room and hallway smelled like feces and mold. Would not recommend.

We’ve stayed here a few times the last couple of years. Clean and comfortable rooms. Good value for the price.

The room was clean except the refrigerator which was filthy. There were no wash cloths in the room and the shower soap dispenser was empty. A friend who stayed in another rom had no wash cloths either and said their refrigerator was dirty as well. Obviously, this falls on the people who clean the rooms. The front desk personnel were nice and helpful. The breakfast buffet is good. The price was good

Good for a one night stay as we were headed to Niagar Falls. We were on the first floor and the noice from the vehicles outside woke us up a couple times. It sounded like motorcycles racing. There was also a clicking noise that woke us up. Unsure what it was from. Bed was pretty uncomfy. Air quality was meh. Both my husband and I woke up stuffy and had sore throats.

Room was very nice.The only problem was I could hear the toilet running all night,had too sleep with pillow over my head.

The shower water pressure and temperature is great. Full breakfast is different every day. The only complaint about this nice place is that the pool is out of order. We booked the place because it has a pool. They should have noted in your website that it's out of order.

The room was fine for the night. Beds and linens were clean and comfortable. There was one small trashcan for the whole space - another in the bathroom, at least, would be great. We were on the third floor and the wifi was so weak that it really wasn't worth using. A wifi extender on the top floor would be helpful.

It was adequate. The table/desk looked like it had a stain. Blood/red fruit? I chose to belive it was from a red food item. So, basic decor. Basic bedding. It was suitable and it was clean other then the stain.

Positives- Excellent shower pressure, parking, and friendly staff. Less than positives-Can hear every sound of adjacent rooms and floors. Pillows & bedding are very old. The material so thin in spots it could rip at any time and is scratchy. Toilet would run for 30-45 minutes after a flush. No maintenance Staff available until 2 days after checkout so I was the toilet fixer. Don’t waste your time on the breakfast. Very limited and awful taste to eggs and hash.

Our stay at the Cobblestone was perfectly fine. The place just felt a little run down and the hallway had a weird and not good smell but it was clean enough and we had a nice time. The hotel is also quite a distance from the bay. We didn’t pay extra for the “bay view” but we would have been disappointed if we had as the bay is across two large parking lots and completely obstructed by buildings and trees.

Room was clean and breakfast ok but loud road noise and someone stomping around above us all night long.

Bed and pillows were less than comfortable . Asked for additional pillows they didn’t have any.

Average hotel but good location across from harbor, marina. Room spacious, clean and quiet. Elevator needs updating with clean carpet. Breakfast selections were average, food OK

Wasn't allowed to check in at my given check in time of 3pm. Check in times are already late as is and they had to push it back. I understand short staff but when you're paying for a spot you expect your given time to be honored.

The front desk staff at this hotel was in particular really rude and unhelpful. We waited in line for 15 minutes to check in because no one was at the desk. Then when we checked in the lady not friendly or polite. I ultimately checked out early rather than staying the two days, and waited in line for 10 minutes to check out because the same front desk lady didn't know how to fix the final bill for the person ahead of me- ultimately telling the woman trying to check out that she wasn't trained on fixing it and couldn't fix it and it wasn't her problem. Then another staff member was cleaning the entrance door to the hotel and the automatic door stopped working so we couldn't get into the hotel. A maintenance guy eventually got it working and then was in the breakroom right behind the front desk scolding the staff member who had been cleaning the door and complaining about the job, when everyone standing in the lobby could hear. The hotel itself was not very clean and the breakfast was really bad. Our room was dingy and outdated and there were stains all over the carpet. We were in town for a wedding and were told his was a great hotel to stay at because of location and amenities and quality and that was just not the case.

Clean, good location & FANTASTIC STAFF.

They put a hold on my credit card for the entire time I stayed. It was basically double the stay cost. So my $400 stay cost me over $800 while I was there. So I couldn’t use that money for things on my trip like food, drinks, and activities and when I asked the man at the front desk about it he just said he didn’t know why it was like that and would go back in my account after I checked out. They should really warn people be prepared to pay double while you stay!! Luckily I had my husband with me to help pay for things while I waited for the hotel to give me back my money they were holding hostage!! Also seemed like the night time desk lady was busy entertaining her own BF and friends serving drinks, smoking cigarettes, and hanging out rather than helping guests. I had to stand at the desk for 10 minutes to check out a soda from the little store at the hotel. Also the breakfast was not good. Not many options the food looked like it was geared more towards children. We also had to request a shower curtain there was none in our room and for a two night stay we had two small towels for two adults. The hotel overall smelled like an ashtray and dirty shoes. Will not stay here again even tho it was conveniently located to everything we wanted to do the extra $400 hold on my account was not worth the poor service and stinky building.

This is our 'go to' with seeing a concert at the Warner. We usually walk but Bayfront it a mess. We got there, paying for 2 rooms (almost $600) bc we were kind of stuck. (RIDICULOUS price) We had NO TOWELS IN OUR ROOM. WE HAD NO TOILET PAPER IN OUR ROOM. I go to the front desk and had 3 other ppl behing me with the same issue. I was told the staff would bring towels up later. NEVER GOT ANY. I instructed them if nobody answered the door to please leave them in the room. (We were going to a concert and dinner beforehand.) I was told that they would leave them. Got back at 11 pm. NO towels left behind. We had to be out first thing in the morning. ZERO toilet paper still....I actually had kleenex with me we used for toilet paper. LONG STORY SHORT, WE PAID ALMOST $600 FOR 2 ROOMS OVERNIGHT. NOBODY SHOULD HAVE TO ASK FOR TOWELS OR TOILET PAPER. I love this place normally. It's not perfect but perfect enough. I love Erie. But after this time, (too much to list), I doubt I will go again. Biggest thing for me is there is NO loyalty rewards or whatever. If you go through regular site, you get shafted. I'd rather have 'zero perks' and a good clean room than a couple bucks off. AGAIN, NO TOWELS OR TOILET PAPER.

Overall this hotel was very adequate. The location was good, although being on the road made it pretty loud in the rooms facing the road. The beds were very comfortable, and the room itself was nice; breakfast adequate. However, as my husband and I were lying in bed watching TV around 9:30pm, we heard someone try to get into our room. We got up and put the safety latch on, and about 10 minutes later we heard someone use a keycard and actually opened the door to our room until the safety latch stopped them. They were trying to check into room 112 at this location when they actually were supposed to be at a different Cobblestone, but when they told the front desk person they couldn’t get in, the front desk person gave them a key to our room! And in the morning the front desk person who was supposed to be working overslept and wasn’t there. So, to sum up, adequate hotel but with fairly terrible staffing. And make sure to always use the safety latch in your room. And as someone new to this area, we will likely not be seeking out the Cobblestone brand again.

Staff was friendly and accomodating! Special thanks to Miranda who went above and beyond to straighten out our reservation and give us a room with a King bed! Also, very nice breakfast and super clean dining area!

Helpful staff, comfortable bed, basic necessities provided in room. Convenient location near the waterfront. Would stay again if in the area.

Very friendly staff. Hotel very clean, comfortable room/bed. Complimentary breakfast is wonderful! This was our second time staying at this location and we will definitely be back!

I like the location. Close to Presque Isle and walkable to a multiple waterfront restaurants. The road out front is noisy.

The room was very clean, and hotel was convenient to many sights, but also directly on main roadway-so traffic sounds were ever present. Staff was very helpful. Free continental breakfast was typical: pre-processed eggs, cereal, yogurt, fruit, make your own waffles.

Nice, clean hotel at a reasonable price. Very convenient to all the attractions.

The staff was genuinely friendly and helpful, trying to make our stay as comfortable and convenient as possible. We had the pool area all to ourselves for an hour or so, which was relaxing. The hot tub could have been a few degrees warmer, per our personal preference. This hotel is located close to the shuttle stop which made transport to the Tall Ships a breeze.

The hotel was clean, right across from a park. Also great location for getting around the area!

Staff here was super friendly. Breakfast and coffee bar were also very nice. The location, for our need, was fantastic. We brought out two small dogs to hike some trails and be outside, waterfront park across the street was ideal, and super short drive to Presque Isle Park. Our only suggestion, is the carpets were visibly dirty, more common in pet friendly hotels we know, and the bathroom could have been cleaner. Overall a very nice place to stay.

The hotel is ok. Location is good. Workers were friendly. They are slacking in a few things. The pool had a lot of floating debris. We found old socks in our room. They were short on towels so they gave us 2 towels for 4 people. But the thing that I absolutely have to mention is what in the world are they serving as EGGS in the breakfast. Never seen or tasted anything like that in my life. Wrong color, wrong texture, no taste (thankfully I think), hands down weirdest food product I’ve ever come across. Breakfast is a major factor when I book hotels because it just helps to get everyone fed before starting the agenda for the day. And this breakfast wasn’t worth going down for a second day. So just some advice if breakfast is important for your stay.

Stayed one night. Would stay again. Was clean and friendly staff. Breakfast was ok. It was free. Had one power outlet in room that did not work.

The staff and property were excellent. The only issue I had was the breakfast, it was mediocre the scrambled eggs were cold and the only had sausage for a meat.

Stayed there a few times. Hot tub needs cleaned. Good breakfast. Staff was friendly and accommodating.

The Cobblestone is a nice hotel. The Sunday morning breakfast which we had at 7:30 was lacking a few basics such as eggs and fruit. While told the eggs were coming, they never did, but waffles and sausage along with biscuits and gravy were very good. Nice room.

Breakfast was actually very nice for a continental breakfast.

The hotel was conveniently located, clean and quiet. The continental breakfast was a little sparse (and the coffee was constantly running out!). But overall would recommend.

BREAKFAST was NOT very good at all; COFFEE was worse than a truck stop. Room was clean and property was also clean.

Easy check in, clean room, nice pool, cozy lobby. The eggs and coffee left a lot to be desired
