Days Inn by Wyndham Erie

Well what can I say. Checked in early at 11, charged us the extra $40. Got in the room and I couldn't believe that broken lamp chair spotted all and I went to go get a glass of water. Water comes out of the tap, yellow. 5 minutes later, water is still yellow.. No pool. Guy was working on a door at 7:30. Leaving and the guy hurried me out of the room at 10. . Asked me 3 times if I was leaving. I see the vision, there trying to do But...Breakfast was ok. The one maid super nice. One guy when I checked in needs to get a personality. Guy when I checked out was ok. Maybe they gave me a crap room with the cats.. Would I stay again .Nope. Also nothing close by to eat other then one fast food place.

Older but clean, a bit away from most of Erie but for an overnight traveler it fits the bill.

At first glance, based on the worn exterior and pothol covered lot,this hotel does not look like a great place to stay, questionable even,but once you go inside, the lobby looks nice, clean and staff is helpful. This hotel is definitely a work in progress. You can tell the owners are working to make it better. The wood floors in the rooms look great, the bedding is clean and the beds are comfortable. Some things could be better....new shower curtains, new drapes, reupholster the chair. I'd be curious to see how things improve in the next year when I pass through again.

When we arrived on the first day the one door was crossed off with police tape. We thought maybe the door just broke so we proceeded. When we entered the hallway it smelled like marijuania so bad we think we got a contact high. We booked the room for two adults and when we got to the room there was only 1 set of towels. The shower curtain had mold stains and there was brown stains on the ceiling in the shower. The refrigerator only worked for 2 hours then off for 8 hours, We asked for clean sheets on day 2 before we left for the day. We came back to a pile of clean unfolded sheets on a stand with the dirty sheets still on the bed. We had to make our bed. When we took the sheets off the bed we observed pee stains all over the mattress pad. The room was filthy when we checked in. I did not see any housekeeping either day I was there. I only gave them one star because we couldn’t give zero stars. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone you would be better off sleeping in your car.

Absolute wonderful stay here. Quick layover for the nite. Bed was great...renos have been done since i last was here as been taken into new management. Overall, for the price point i was very happy. This will be my motel from now on when im the Erie area. Front desk staff, Absolutely amazing.
