Great location but hotel needs a lot of maintenance and repairs. Shabby and sparse decorations. The terrasse overlooking the water has so much potential but looks like it's abandoned. This place has a lot of potential but they need to invest to make it current and up to standards.

Amazing location as always, and paying extra for a sea view is always worth it here! The check in and out process was poor mainly down to incompetence from the receptionist. The major problem with this stay was that maintenance work was being carried out on the back of the hotel and started at 8am when checkout is at 10am.. this woke us up and completely spoiled our birthday celebrations!

This Hotel was in a perfect location with amazing views over the sea yet right in town. It was typical of an old seaside establishment, a little tired but clean but was undergoing refurbishment so can’t wait to see the changes. The staff were excellent, friendly and helpful but seemed a little overstretched. I would definitely go there again

This hotel was rated 3 star but should be 4 star. On arrival the reception was warm and friendly. The room was superb overlooking the sea with a 4 poster bed. The bathroom was narrow but had all amenities. Breakfast had a good selection and the staff were always helpful. The bar was friendly and well stocked. Being November the evening menu was limited and times were restrictive so we ate out. The only real problem was parking, there is none at the hotel but there is a pay cark park a short walk down the road.

About to be refurbished and desperately needs it. Room was very dated and not worth the money we paid but was clean. Staff were superb & very friendly. Breakfast was good selection but cold. Very dog friendly and everyone made our dog welcome. This will be a gem of a hotel when refurbishment completed. It’s in an excellent location on the seafront

Perfect location with sea views from dining room. Friendly staff and an excellent breakfast. Rooms need to be updated and the bathroom was small with a weak shower. The location and terrace bar make it a great place to stay.

I had a fantastic stay at the Imperial hotel. The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean. I asked about the scaffolding being put up at the hotel and whether it would be covering the window in my room. They found out that it would and offered me a room on the other side of the hotel. I also questioned about the heating which they think maybe the builders knocked something but were glad that I let them know. The hotel is a bit tired but it is comfortable and in a great location on the cliff top. It is being gradually refurbished and will be fabulous once complete

Great location and view out to sea but the building and the room is very dated. The carpet felt damp, mould on the unclean windows and a lumpy bed…..not great and wouldn’t stay again.

Hotel in great location and has so much potential if a bit of money and love was invested. Tired shabby rooms cleaned to poor standard. Carpets worn and dirty. But like student accommodation. It's a shame as this hotel clearly could be a great place if only it was given the att5it deserved. Would not stay again.

Property was in a fantastic location, but was run down with white wash and paper over the cracks and mould (literally). Additionally the bathroom was not clean on arrival, with the loo even unflushed. Staff were good and the breakfast was the saving grace. Did not look like the website in any way shape or form. On the whole, disappointed and would not stay again which is a shame as it's location was 10/10 as I say.

The staff were very helpful and worked hard to deliver excellent customer service. The new owners "Crest Hotels" have some very strange policies that impact on the customer experience i.e. one hand towel to be shared between two people. Two tea bags maximum for two people per day, No hand soap, One toilet roll for two people per day, Rooms not serviced daily unless you hand your room keys in to reception. Very minimal room service bathroom not cleaned during our 5 night stay.

Our room and bathroom was not clean. Just outside our window was a ledge that was covered with cigarette butts. Not pleasant at all. Having said that, the sheets and linen were clean and the shower was lovely and strong.

Hotel was clean and tidy excellent staff, only complaint I had was showering and contractor turned the water off which left me half way through a shower still with shampoo in my hair and had to wait an hour for it to be turned back on not the hotel fault and they were apologising and said that they did not inform the hotel that the water was going to be turned off. Overall stay was pleasant, and would definitely return.

Hotel is in a good location, room is very tired , carpet badly soiled, floor very uneven, and bed is the most uncomfortable bed ive ever slept in - in fact ive not been able to sleep- suffering with a bad back today - regretting paying the extra to stay here as really overpriced, if you check in and given room 23 refuse it the springs are poking through the mattress and they have put wood underneath the mattress where the bed base is broken

In fairness, there are a lot of ups and downs with the Imperial. The location is excellent, my room was clean and tidy, and the cost was more than reasonable. Niggles would include very low water pressure, a droopy showerhead, and a laughably small TV. But It’s hard to ask too much considering the cost. Clearly this grande dame’s best years may have been many decades ago, but she’s still got some life in her. I’m hopeful that with her ongoing renovations, many good years are still ahead.

Room was amazing. Four post bed,loads of space. Nice big tv,sofa to watch it. Dressing table. Lovely baloney with outstanding view,shame the weather wasnt playing ball though. Bathroom was stunning. My wife and i loved everything about the room. Its a old school hotel and we couldnt have asked for more!

It is a lovely period hotel that is in much need of repair and investment. It is very dated and looks derelict in places although it does seem there are some works undergoing on one wing. Staff however are very warm and friendly and the location is out of this world, reminder of times when this was a place to be and a real high end hang out for locals and tourists alike.

Radiator not working, draft from window making room cold. Complained to receptionist was told when return to collect portable fan heater. No hand soap in room. Shower tray had sealant all over tray water escape peeling paint shower tray stand cracked and tiles

The room had an amazing sea view with a huge bay window. Unfortunately it was badly decorated with patchy paint on the walls and signs of damp coming through. The shower was difficult to use and had poor flow. I king size bed would have been nice instead of a double. When we checked out the receptionist didn’t ask us how are stay way, I couldn’t be bothered to raise the issues as she didn’t seem interested.

Good location, helpful and friendly staff. Rooms were cold and damp with wallpaper peeling off. Bathroom was clean and modern however, the shower pressure was non existent and water just trickled out coupled with only one temperature which was boiling hot! (Even when turning the gauge to cold). So given the price of the room , disappointing!

The staff were all really helpful, nothing was too much trouble. We found our room much better than anticipated having read some quite bad reviews. We were pleasantly surprised. There was a great choice for breakfast and evening meal was very nice too. Would definitely want to stay again. It is clear that the hotel is undergoing lots of maintenance and is being updated. This didn’t distract us in any way. Thank you for a lovely welcome and an absolutely lovely break!

The receptionist was not helpful or happy. The view was spectacular and the bed was comfortable. Besides the location I would never stay again. Carrying luggage up the stairs was ridiculous and the receptionist even lied about how many sets of stairs I had and where my room was. Just. Plain. Weird.

We arrived at the hotel to a lovely receptionist called Emma, our room wasn't quite ready so she put our bags safe and showed us to the bar/dining area. We were welcomed by the bartender who was friendly and polite. Our room was basic but clean and comfortable. TV maybe a little small but adequate and we weren't intending to stay in the room lol the time. We had breakfast which was of a good standard and plentiful. There was parking nearby and not too expensive. We were on the top floor and there was a lift available. All the staff we encountered were polite and friendly. It was a pleasure to stay there and we'd use it again.

Only thing was told we had breakfast included on check in. Even asked if she was sure and she double checked our booking and she said definitely included. So Went to breakfast the next morning and they said we would be charged at check out as we didn’t have it included. However after explaining what happened to the manager and to why we had come to breakfast as the staff member who checked us in said we had it. They said no and we weren’t to have it, but once manager had realised we had already selected our food and it would just go to waste otherwise she allowed us to have it. I think in future if staff tell us upon check in that we definitely have breakfast included especially as we double checked with the receptionist it should be stuck with regardless of even if it was too late as we had already selected the food as it’s the hotels error not ours as the customers. But other then that situation is a great place to stay would recommend.

If one appreciates those large, older sort of "has been" hotels as I do this place is rather more than ok. There are stuninig views from the dining area. Staff are fine, and location could hardly be better. Do note that this hotel isas are all in Tenby,well above the beach, requiring a steep trek down and back up again. This accentuates the views. Good breakfast, tho. no mushrooms, some fresh fruit and variety of nut and berry toppings. Scrambled eggs only.

No parking. No breakfast included. Charged £10 for a cup of coffee and a bowl of cornflakes. Room wasn't serviced on 2nd morning. so no milk left to make tea and I wasn't trailing down 3 floors to find some. Large dye mark on one of the towels left Very disappointing in a lovely location. Won't be returning.

The staff was amazing and friendly and that's what makes it so difficult to rate this property. The building itself is old and in bad need of repair, carpets, walls, windows and coverings all stained or broken. The breakfast was very good. So staff a 10 but building a 3. Please save this building - it could really be something!

Hotel is pretty out dated , breakfast wasn’t great. Went down at 9.30 and there was hardly anything left, I along with other guests told to get down earlier - breakfast is until 10am. What I did get wasn’t value for money and wasn’t great.

The only half decent thing about the hotel is it’s location. The staff do their best with the awful situation they have to work in. Maybe you should close your doors until the refurbishment is complete. Very over priced, the food is the worst hotel food I have ever eaten. Disappointed resident we checked out a day early. The place could be a gold mine.
