We were working in the area and needed to spend the night. The hotel was very nice. Limited parking especially if you have a full size van. The area around the hotel was a mixture of well kept up buildings and homeless encampments. I felt safe in the hotel but walking around I wouldn't do after dark or alone.

I guess if you vape in the parking lot they will take half of your deposit so dont smoke at all. They were really disappointing. Even when i asked where to smoke my vape they still charged me. Dont stay here only if you wanna be ripped off when you leave. Alos parking is a joke. Dont leave after 6pm they will not have parking when you get back from dinner. No stars if i could of so disrespectful.. also vending was down and the washer and dyer dont work..

I booked this because I had a concert at The Novo. When driving up to it I was nervous because the area is rough but thats Downtown LA. I was so happy with this stay. My room was beautiful, clean and comfortable. I had the jacuzzi room and it is big. The property is beautifully updated. To be aware that you can only have one car on property so that was very inconvenient because we had drove in separately.

The room was great except the safe would not close to lock it. Amenities were ok. Front desk was pleasant. Did not have contact with housekeeping. Parking was an issue at night..not enough spaces because people were infringing on empty spaces so you could park a car in it.people park

The roomnwas fairly clean but it was a sketchy area and the outside was dirty the area around was dirty. We left and when we came back to the room it smelled of urine. The beds were hard, lumpy.

The room was pretty large considering what I paid for it which was nice. Cleanliness was ehh but the amenities in the room were a little run down. One of the lamps didn’t work, it looked like it had seen better days. The tv looked like it was hanging off the wall (in an unintentional way). And the toilet paper holder just fell off the wall. I was only there for a night and I don’t really care too much but some simple upgrades could make this place really nice.

I LOVED my room. The huge jetted tub and king sized bed were amazing. It was super quiet, too--the only noise was from people stomping around in the room above me. The drawbacks: I had NO internet the entire five days I was there. This was a huge problem. I let someone know and they said they would reset the router, but I never got access. Also, the jets in the tub randomly turned on every night at like 11:00 pm for no reason, so that was annoying having to get out of bed to shut them off. Some good, some bad. I'd definitely stay again if the internet issue was resolved, but as it is right now, I won't be back, which is a shame!

I'll start with my biggest issue of my stay, which was the unprotected wifi. It may as well have not existed, it was seriously unreliable and since I was travelling from a foreign country with no data on my phone I was really relying on it to make travel plans around LA. I had to wander around to find a place that sold a SIM card just so I could use the internet. That aside, the hotel is good value for money. I had earplugs which are highly recommended since you will hear the rooms around you. It was clean and the staff were very pleasant. They also do daily housekeeping, which many hotels don't offer anymore unless requested. I didn't realize this, so was a little surprised to see housekeeping had been in my room after I spent the first day out. Of course it wasn't an issue, but maybe something to be aware of. As a solo female, the area never felt unsafe. I took the subway in the early morning, starting around 5 am. The station was a convenient 8 minute walk away. I'd stay here again because the location is excellent if you're planning to visit lots of different areas of LA.

Average for a cheaper hotel. Room was ok and bed seemed clean. Some of the shower towels were so over used they were ripping though. Staff was nice but I did not like that I wasn’t told that deposit was cash only and I had to use their ATM which charges fees.

I would advise the property to work out a partnership where the streets outside its building are cleaned because it does affect the hotel. Additionally, as of Feb 2025, I hope they do not ask other guests to get cash from the ATM for their room deposits.

I stayed at Tuscan Garden Inn - it is NOTHING like how described. Their ad states there is "complimentary breakfast" but upon reaching the staff informed they stopped providing that 2 years ago but hadn't updated their website. The place was unsanitary (cobwebs, stained sheets), didnt even provide soap & towels. The staff member named ROUL was EXTREMELY RUDE - when I told him the kettle in my room was dirty he brought another one which had grease in it, I showed him the grease spot and he said "it is what it is" .I told him it wasn't sanitary and HE SNATCHED the kettle from my hand and walked away. He REFUSED to provide contact details of management to complain about the unsanitary condition and false marketing of the place. Anytime after I went to the reception desk HE WOULD WALK away as I was about to talk to him/ask him anything. He would come back when another guest came with a query and respond to them but totally ignore me/my questions/concerns. There was NOBODY ELSE/NO OTHER STAFF in the entire hotel at all - so I couldnt speak to anyone for help in the hotel or to get a refund and move out as well.

Lady up front desk was rude. On top of her being rude, I got to the hotel at about 1:30. She said I couldn’t check in until 3. The parking lot was completely empty. Seemed like they had maybe one or two guests at their property. She charged me an extra $25 to check in early. I’ve never been to a hotel where I’m not able to check in an hour n a half earlier when there is a room available. Only used the room to shower and get dressed, didn’t even stay the night. Will never stay here again.

Tuscan Garden Inn is a nice, no-frills hotel for visiting LA. The property doesn't have much in the way of amenities, but it's a clean place to rest at night, and is a short walk to a nearby Metro station and several useful bus lines. I will say that it is better suited to people whose visits will be restricted to Koreatown, Pico-Union, or places along the Metro Red Line. The dining in the area is limited (though the famous Langer's Delicatessen is nearby) and sites like the Getty museums and the beaches are a good distance away.

The property and staff are awesome and do a great job. We stayed last year for the first time and loved it. When we came this year though, we were awefully suprised at how bad the area had gotten within a single year. The hotel itself feels okay safety wise, but the area at night was not great. Nothing the hotel can do about that though.

Surprisingly fine for a lower priced hotel in LA. Payed $128 for a room, it and the entire grounds were reasonably clean. Decent neighborhood. Free parking. 2ish blocks to The Metro. Would totally stay here again.

This is my 2nd time for a 3 nights stay in this place. Very clean, convenient location . Bus 28 nearby take you direct to downtown live LA. Super market and many dinning options within few minutes walking distance. Will come back again next time when I’m in the LA convention center area. .

Tv didn’t work-there was no signal. No carafe for the coffee maker. 1/2 the vending machines didn’t work, and those that did only had Gatorade - no water. The ice machine wasn’t working. The door didn’t latch properly unless you pushed hard on it…we had booked a two night stay, but checked out a day early, and went to a different hotel.

Stayed in King Rm with private back porch Wed through Monday back porch provided with table/chairs, draped cover large bed spacious room cold fridge great location for a visit/central walk to grocery walk to mco coffee - pillows width of pizza box no hand soap in bthrm, just hand sanitizer dispenser tiny towels all their drink machines were empty Personally I think I got what I paid for and would book again. Just bring my own hand soap and pillows.

The photos of this property look amazing, but the reality is rather different. In a word, the whole place is a facade. The lobby is nice, the exterior looks pretty good, but as soon as you're up close you see the lack of care and quality. The night stands and other furniture are on the edge of run, with gross, bubbles surfaces you can't see until you're up close. The bed looks great, but it's too firm. The wall paint is poorly done, with clear coverage programs. There's drywall damage they just painted over rather than repairing. The curtains look nice, but barely function. The towel rack in the bathroom, gold in color, was attached to the wall with 4 different kinds and colors of screws. The TV was small and low quality, while Wi-Fi was barely functional at all. The price was reasonable, but if we'd needed more than a place to crash for the night we would've asked for a refund and found something else The staff was nice, but despite the ad saying there'd be coffee and breakfast, none were provided. I wouldn't come back unless there was simply nothing else available.

The hotel was very nice and I loved my stay, but the area around was sketchy. Nothing I could do about that because it's in downtown LA so I'm not complaining; I knew what I was buying. The parking was plentiful yet tight, and walking distance from a gas station and great pizza place. 8/10 area and price, 10/10 hotel stay.
