We stopped here one night as part of a longer road trip. The room was comfortable - great AC and shower and the Wifi was great. Beds are double not queen so a little small. The pool area was nice but needed a little cleaning up. We didn’t have breakfast as we left before it was available at 7.30am.

Le lieu en lui même est très joli au millieu de la nature, piscine sympas . La chambre aurait besoin d'un petit rafraîchissement. Le seul hôtel à nous avoir facturé 30 $ pour notre enfant alors que nous avions une chambre quadruple avec deux grand lit. Le personnel au petit déjeuner avait l'air blazer de notre présence et n'attendais qu'une chose que l'on partent. Une voiture est indispensable car vraiment rien autour

The cabins are comfortable and clean, and the A/C worked great. The cabins are surrounded by lovely tropical forest and gardens. We didn’t have time to use the pool, but it looked clean and inviting. Staff are friendly and accommodating. The location is perfect for catching early morning birding tours at nearby Carara NP. Would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful secluded location in the heart of the forest. The pool was really nice and only 25 metres from our lodge. So much wildlife all around, a pair of Macaws up in a tree and many other species of birds and reptiles. The staff that provided breakfast were wonderfully friendly and overall it was a lovely place to stay.

We really loved this place! The room was larger than a New York City apartment, the grounds were beautifully kept, the pool was clean and lovely and breakfast was good. We only wish we could’ve stayed longer.

Loved our brief stay here. It's a beautiful sanctuary of nature. Feels like middle of the jungle, but groomed. Our room was clean and inviting, the staff friendly and Patricia was super helpful in helping with our transportation needs.

I loved Selva Color for a place to stay near Carara National Park and the village of Tarcoles, where you can see the gorgeous Scarlet Macaw Parrots, many other beautiful birds, monkeys, and other wildlife. 10 minute drive. There are Macaws right on the property to squawk their greetings as you check in. The staff was friendly and professional and answered all of my questions in English. The cabin I had was older, but beautifully decorated with the Scarlet Macaw red theme (perfect for me). Everything worked well, such ad frige and coffee maker, and everything was clean. The bed was comfortable and the secured grounds felt very quiet and safe. I went to Tarcoles village beach to watch the Macaws turn in for the evening and to enjoy a fabulous sunset. I recommend Selva Color for a good night sleep before serous birding in Carara National Park.

This is in a lovely setting, with rainforest all around. We saw lots of interesting birds, plants, etc. on the grounds; the leader of a birding tour that stayed there went birding on the property. Staff are all wonderful. It was clean, breakfast was good. We stayed in a basic "Toucan" room. It felt a bit dated and like some updating and more attention would really help. Towels were old, worn, and pretty rough. I discovered big bottles of water under the sink, which made me assume the tap water was not potable, but there were no signs about that. (We arrived after the office had closed so got no orientation.) Ice cubes in the fridge looked pretty old (lots of frost on them). Dish powder by the sink was a solid blob. I can't comment on the higher-priced accommodations and, once we got over our disappointment about the initial impression, we loved staying there. A little updating/more attention could really improve that first impression (and a little more lighting in the room - a common issue in C.R.). Beds were comfortable, AC worked well. Even if not updated, as long as you are prepared for that, it's a lovely place to stay and see nature from outside your room. I'd happily go back.

Interesting property in the jungles. We stayed for one night. The room was nice, but no hot water and smelled like fresh paint. The sheets were not super clean either, but the staff is very helpful and nice. We enjoyed meeting Sandra and others. Decent breakfast.There is a great seafood restaurant next to the property in 1.2km. We loved their chicken soup!

Large room with cooking facility. Comfortable. Difficult to find without your own means of transport. When the bus dropped us at the main road we called the hotel and a vehicle was quickly sent to pick us up. Because it is so far from shops and restaurants we ordered food via WhatsApp messages to the manageress (Patricia) & she kindly brought it to us in her car. Staff helpful. Breakfast was provided at the pool side. Howler monkeys would start screaming at about 4.30 am

This was our favorite property we stayed at during our trip and we stayed at multiple hotels around the country. Staff were amazing, and we loved the pool. It felt very cozy and private and like we had a little jungle paradise to ourselves. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. Only con is we wish their was more wall plugs by the beds. Breakfast was fantastic and we would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Carara National Park.

There are Macaws right on the property to squawk their greetings as you check in. The staff was friendly and professional and answered all of my questions in English. The cabin I had was older, but beautifully decorated with the Scarlet Macaw red theme (perfect for me). Everything worked well, such ad frige and coffee maker, and everything was clean. The bed was comfortable and the secured grounds felt very quiet and safe. I went to Tarcoles village beach to watch the Macaws turn in for the evening and to enjoy a fabulous sunset. I recommend Selva Color for a good night sleep before serous birding in Carara National Park.

The cabins are comfortable and clean, and the A/C worked great. The cabins are surrounded by lovely tropical forest and gardens. We didn’t have time to use the pool, but it looked clean and inviting. Staff are friendly and accommodating. The location is perfect for catching early morning birding tours at nearby Carara NP. Would definitely stay here again.

Large room with cooking facility. Comfortable. Difficult to find without your own means of transport. When the bus dropped us at the main road we called the hotel and a vehicle was quickly sent to pick us up. Because it is so far from shops and restaurants we ordered food via WhatsApp messages to the manageress (Patricia) & she kindly brought it to us in her car. Staff helpful. Le lieu en lui même est très joli au millieu de la nature, piscine sympas . La chambre aurait besoin d'un petit rafraîchissement. Le seul hôtel à nous avoir facturé 30 $ pour notre enfant alors que nous avions une chambre quadruple avec deux grand lit. This is in a lovely setting, with rainforest all around. We saw lots of interesting birds, plants, etc. on the grounds; the leader of a birding tour that stayed there went birding on the property. Staff are all wonderful. It was clean, breakfast was good. We stayed in a basic "Toucan" room. It felt a bit dated and like some updating and more attention would really help. Towels were old, worn, and pretty rough. I discovered big bottles of water under the sink, which made me assume the tap water was not potable, but there were no signs about that. (We arrived after the office had closed so got no orientation.) Ice cubes in the fridge looked pretty old (lots of frost on them). Dish powder by the sink was a solid blob. I can't comment on the higher-priced accommodations and, once we got over our disappointment about the initial impression, we loved staying there. A little updating/more attention could really improve that first impression (and a little more lighting in the room - a common issue in C.R.). Beds were comfortable, AC worked well. Even if not updated, as long as you are prepared for that, it's a lovely place to stay and see nature from outside your room. I'd happily go back.

Wonderful secluded location in the heart of the forest. The pool was really nice and only 25 metres from our lodge. So much wildlife all around, a pair of Macaws up in a tree and many other species of birds and reptiles. The staff that provided breakfast were wonderfully friendly and overall it was a lovely place to stay.

PATRICICA HELP US OUT WITH TRANSPORATION AND ANY QUESTIONS THAT WE HAD. YOU REALLY GET TO HEAR HOW PURE NATURE SOUNDS LIKE. We stopped here one night as part of a longer road trip. The room was comfortable - great AC and shower and the Wifi was great. Beds are double not queen so a little small. The pool area was nice but needed a little cleaning up. We didn’t have breakfast as we left before it was available at 7.30am.

We really loved this place! The room was larger than a New York City apartment, the grounds were beautifully kept, the pool was clean and lovely and breakfast was good. We only wish we could’ve stayed longer.

This was our favorite property we stayed at during our trip and we stayed at multiple hotels around the country. Staff were amazing, and we loved the pool. It felt very cozy and private and like we had a little jungle paradise to ourselves. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. Only con is we wish their was more wall plugs by the beds. Breakfast was fantastic and we would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Carara National Park.

Interesting property in the jungles. We stayed for one night. The room was nice, but no hot water and smelled like fresh paint. The sheets were not super clean either, but the staff is very helpful and nice. We enjoyed meeting Sandra and others. Decent breakfast.There is a great seafood restaurant next to the property in 1.2km. We loved their chicken soup!

Cabins are set in a very beautiful forest. We woke up to the sounds of birds and even saw Macaus. The breakfast was soothing and filling, with fresh local juice and tasty gallo pinto and coffee. Staff were very helpful and cheerful. Highly recommend!!

Everyone was so helpful. They let us write to the place we were staying. It was a little difficult to find the office when you see the physical sign walk up the path and you’ll see it right there. It was noted. We just didn’t know what we were looking for, but a sweet gentleman came out and found us and let us where we needed to be. Breakfast was very good as was the coffee. The rooms were sufficient great pool. Monkeys and trees not far away nice area to walk at night very comfortable beds. We would choose to stay there longer than we did the next time we come out and would suggest others should as well. It is an older place, but well kept comfortable.
