I stayed just one night at Cabinas upon arriving to the Osa peninsula and it was the perfect landing place to being my trip! The staff was so kind and helpful and it was great to be able to get out on the water and Kayak. The location is walking distance to town for cafes, grocery and restaurants. The price is affordable and the room was very clean and cosy! I would definitely stay again if I travel there!

The front desk staff is so well organized and helpful! The location is perfect, the dolphin boat tour off the dock is a must-do, and everything you'd want to see (shopping, restaurants, beaches) is within walking or biking distance.

Puerto Jiménez is a nice clean little Pueblo. There is a cute cafe called Monka up the street that we would recommend. Several seafood restaurants and we ate at Delfines which was excellent- so fresh! The hotel is situated in a nice secluded area right on the the waterfront. We saw several kayaks and people swimming in the bay. The ambiance was nice with the boats, the waves, and the sunset & sunrise. The AC in the room was excellent and made the heat tolerable. Be prepared for the heat! Our feedback has more to do with the pricing. It was a little bit more pricey and the hotel charged a 7% fee for cc use I totally understand the fee however if it was posted in the posting u did not see it. Also, the price for the room was higher than others in the area and while a nicer place, could be lower.

Schöne, einfache aber zweckmässige Zimmer. Kühlschrank, Klimaanlage, Mikrowelle und Filterkaffemaschine auf dem Zimmer. Dazu die Möglichkeit einer Gemeinschaftsküche mit Gasgrill. Freundliche und hilfsbereite Mitarbeiter. Sicher ein Tipp für 3-4 Übernachtungen. Uns hat es gefallen und wir kommen wieder!

Our room had a beautiful view of the gulf. It had an outdoor kitchen that we enjoyed immensely. The air-conditioning and hot water worked well. We enjoyed the pool during the hot part of the day. And we took advantage of the free kayaks and bicycles at the hotel. John, the owner is a gracious host and his staff are very friendly and helpful. John took us out on a dolphin watching tour that included snorkelling a coral reef. It was absolutely a perfect day! I would highly recommend the stay at cabanas Jimenez.

We enjoyed our stay at Cabinas Jiménez. The room we booked is no longer available, so the owner kindly resettled us into a different room with the panoramic view of the Golfo Dulce that we were looking forward to. In addition to enjoying the beautiful view, we used the supplied kayaks to explore the mangroves and a deserted beach several times. We also used the supplied bicycles to explore the town of Puerto Jiménez and surrounding area. Cabinas Jiménez is in a great location, with a lovely beach and many restaurants and sodas within walking distance. Our room was clean, comfortable, and had a well-stocked mini-kitchen area. Staff were pleasant and helpful. We recommend staying at Cabinas Jiménez for your stay in Puerto Jiménez.

A lovely stay. Clean, spacious waterfront suite with a fabulous water view where you can relax on the porch protected from the sun and rain and enjoy your breakfast. Excellent service, effective A/C. Pretty quiet overall. Nice pool. We would happily stay here again. 10/10, no notes.

Die Anlage hat ein riesiges Potential, das leider nicht ausgeschöpft ist. Alles ist veraltet und teilweise mit viel Improvisation repariert. Das geht beim Duschkopf los. Wettgemacht wird das durch das Personal und die einzigartige Lage. Wer bereit ist, Kompromisse zu machen, ist hier genau richtig, denn keine andere Unterkunft in Puerto Jiménez bietet diese Lage und von vielen Zimmern diesen Blick.

I stayed at Cabinas Jimenez for a couple days to get ready for a multi-day trip to Corcovado. It was perfect. It was a bit of a walk from the airport but manageable and would have been an easy and cheap taxi ride if I had chosen that. It is close to restaurants, grocery, etc. The bed was very comfortable (not a given in CR) and the air conditioning worked great. Most of the time I didn\'t even need it, given the breeze from the Golfo Dulce. I had a room with the full outside kitchen which would have been great if I was staying longer. The private veranda was very spacious and comfortable. I left my bags with them while I was in the park and they made this very easy, even though I left at 5 AM. Very nice to have free bikes and kayaks available. The only downsides were that the "suicide shower" heater and wireless router were not working. I have used these showers many times and even with the flow turned down very low there was no difference in temperature between on and off. Honestly it does not matter that much in coastal CR. A slightly cold shower is fine. The internet was available in the lobby, so also not a big problem. I will definitely stay there again.

We arrived at Cabinas Jimenez early and our room was not ready. The owner, John, happened to be at the front desk. Instead of making us wait, he upgraded our room, which was clean and ready to go. Gabby, who worked the front desk, was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and personable. Perfect place to de-stress and de-compress.

John and Annie don't have a no for an answer, rooms are small but comfortable, and clean, a little outdated, good wi fi, no tv, ac is a diamond in the area, no restaurant or breakfast but evermore l everything is walkable, ride from San Jose is 6 hours, going towards the Corcovado park or Carate beach can take 2 hours more in an 4x4 car. You can take a plane from San Jose $140 and get there in 25 minutes. There is not Ev charger in the area, somehow John manage to get me electricity to use my own household charger. Very nice value for your money.

Our room had a beautiful view of the gulf. It had an outdoor kitchen that we enjoyed immensely. The air-conditioning and hot water worked well. We enjoyed the pool during the hot part of the day. And we took advantage of the free kayaks and bicycles at the hotel. John, the owner is a gracious host and his staff are very friendly and helpful. John took us out on a dolphin watching tour that included snorkelling a coral reef. It was absolutely a perfect day! I would highly recommend the stay at cabanas Jimenez.

We enjoyed our stay at Cabinas Jiménez. The room we booked is no longer available, so the owner kindly resettled us into a different room with the panoramic view of the Golfo Dulce that we were looking forward to. In addition to enjoying the beautiful view, we used the supplied kayaks to explore the mangroves and a deserted beach several times. We also used the supplied bicycles to explore the town of Puerto Jiménez and surrounding area. Cabinas Jiménez is in a great location, with a lovely beach and many restaurants and sodas within walking distance. Our room was clean, comfortable, and had a well-stocked mini-kitchen area. Staff were pleasant and helpful. We recommend staying at Cabinas Jiménez for your stay in Puerto Jiménez.

John and Annie don't have a no for an answer, rooms are small but comfortable, and clean, a little outdated, good wi fi, no tv, ac is a diamond in the area, no restaurant or breakfast but evermore l everything is walkable, ride from San Jose is 6 hours, going towards the Corcovado park or Carate beach can take 2 hours more in an 4x4 car. You can take a plane from San Jose $140 and get there in 25 minutes. There is not Ev charger in the area, somehow John manage to get me electricity to use my own household charger. Very nice value for your money.

A lovely stay. Clean, spacious waterfront suite with a fabulous water view where you can relax on the porch protected from the sun and rain and enjoy your breakfast. Excellent service, effective A/C. Pretty quiet overall. Nice pool. We would happily stay here again. 10/10, no notes.

I stayed at Cabinas Jimenez for a couple days to get ready for a multi-day trip to Corcovado. It was perfect. It was a bit of a walk from the airport but manageable and would have been an easy and cheap taxi ride if I had chosen that. It is close to restaurants, grocery, etc. The bed was very comfortable (not a given in CR) and the air conditioning worked great. Most of the time I didn\'t even need it, given the breeze from the Golfo Dulce. I had a room with the full outside kitchen which would have been great if I was staying longer. The private veranda was very spacious and comfortable. I left my bags with them while I was in the park and they made this very easy, even though I left at 5 AM. Very nice to have free bikes and kayaks available. The only downsides were that the "suicide shower" heater and wireless router were not working. I have used these showers many times and even with the flow turned down very low there was no difference in temperature between on and off. Honestly it does not matter that much in coastal CR. A slightly cold shower is fine. The internet was available in the lobby, so also not a big problem. I will definitely stay there again.

amazing staff- check in with Annie was incredible. so friendly and informative. we were able to leave our luggage there as well as our car for 3 days when we went to the corcavado. everything safe and secure. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

We arrived at Cabinas Jimenez early and our room was not ready. The owner, John, happened to be at the front desk. Instead of making us wait, he upgraded our room, which was clean and ready to go. Gabby, who worked the front desk, was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and personable. Perfect place to de-stress and de-compress.

Overall our stay was great. The owner John and his team are very nice people and seem to genuinely care about their guests. They were very responsive to our emails and calls prior to our arrival. The property is right on the water and the free kayaks were a great bonus. We had an outdoor kitchen area that was very convenient and helpful. You are a short walk from the bus stop, grocery stores, restaurants and the main city center, where our tour to Corcovado National Park started. The air conditioning in the room was much appreciated. This place is a good value for your money.

Expedia messed up my reservation - they change it from 4 people to 2 people and the description of the room was incorrect. (This is not the first time Expedia has messed up my reservation for a hotel room in Costa Rica). John and Annie did a wonderful job correcting Expedia's mistake and making sure we had comparable accomodations. I would defenitely stay here again....I would just book directly with Cabinas Jimenez next time.

The staff was so kind and helpful and it was great to be able to get out on the water and Kayak. The location is walking distance to town for cafes, grocery and restaurants. The price is affordable and the room was very clean and cosy! I would definitely stay again if I travel there!

Puerto Jiménez is a nice clean little Pueblo. There is a cute cafe called Monka up the street that we would recommend. Several seafood restaurants and we ate at Delfines which was excellent- so fresh! The hotel is situated in a nice secluded area right on the the waterfront. We saw several kayaks and people swimming in the bay. The ambiance was nice with the boats, the waves, and the sunset & sunrise. The AC in the room was excellent and made the heat tolerable. Be prepared for the heat! Our feedback has more to do with the pricing. It was a little bit more pricey and the hotel charged a 7% fee for cc use I totally understand the fee however if it was posted in the posting u did not see it. We loved our stay at Cabinas Jimenez. The room was super nice and with efficient AC and fans, the location is quiet and right by the water, we loved that we could just borrow the kayaks, and the staff was helpful and had great recommendations for what to see and where to eat.
