Stunningly beautiful place, like arriving on the set of Knives Out, although instead of dysfunctional family inheritance skullduggery & drama, you're met with a warm, friendly, helpful staff and a gorgeous (& historically cool) bar and dining room. Rooms were excellent, well appointed and immaculate. A nice surprise.

We loved our room. We loved the main house and the atmosphere created outside by using patio heaters and fire pits and soft music. The owner, Carl, was extremely generous with his time allowing us to spend part of our evening with him. The breakfast was over the top delicious.

A beautiful property right in Lake Cayuga with spectacular views of the lake and countryside. The Inn was very picturesque and the staff was very friendly and courteous. A perfect first time finger lake experience. They have wonderfully landscaped gardens with fire pits scattered around making for lovely evenings sitting by the fire. Rooms are spacious and beautifully furnished. All in all a great experience.

Everything was absolutely perfect and beautiful. The inn, the grounds, the view, etc. were absolutely breathtaking. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and outgoing. We were there for four days, and wish we could’ve stayed longer. We will be back!

Didn’t realize we weren’t staying at the inn. Restaurant was not open. Had to drive to the inn for breakfast. The room was clean but in poor condition: the light in the shower was hanging from the ceiling and did not work, the paint on the side tables was peeling and the closet doors were not installed properly, leaving them scratched, cracked and dented. Not what we expected.

My husband and I stayed in a Lakeview Room that was very clean and modern. All the staff, from front desk to housekeeping to kitchen staff, were very friendly and professional. It's a beautiful property with access to Cayuga Lake across the street via the state park, and just a 20 minute walk to Taughannock Falls. We enjoyed having dinner in the restaurant one of the nights of our stay. We will definitely be back!

Exceptional property. Wish we had been able to stay for longer than our one night but hope to return some time in the future! Beautiful room: immaculate, spacious, and well appointed along with a lovely view. Staff too were lovely and helpful from check in Easy walk to a public lake across the street as well.

Room wasn’t really clean. Bedding wasn’t changed from last occupancy. The baseboard heater made a loud noise every night even though it was shut off. Called front desk about and nothing was done.

Hotel in an amazing position overlooking the lake, set in beautiful grounds. Lovely walk to falls from hotel. There’s no hot drinks available in the room but these are set up on the landing. Bed comfortable. Downsides were mostly due to cleanliness. Windows need a bit of a clean as cobwebs on/in them and some coffee cups dirty.

We stayed in the Lakeview building which is across the street from the main building. It was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was really nice with the dining room having a nice view of Cayuga Lake. What we really liked was the proximity to Taughannock Falls. We walked from the hotel directly to the trails leading to the Falls. You can also walk across the street to visit the park along the lake which has swimming, kayaks, etc.

Beautiful hotel and amazing location. We had an issue with the heater randomly kicking in during the middle of a hot summer night, driving the room temperature up to 85 degrees. We were given a 10% discount for the inconvenience. The hotel was sold out, so moving us was not an option. I'm sure we'll go back, but we'll pay for a better room next time.

I stayed in Lakeview and the room and view were really nice. It was like you were staying in a Bed and breakfast but better. Nice amenities in the room like a refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker, ceramic coffee mugs. Very homey. And the breakfast buffet was plentiful.

The hotel itself is gorgeous. Our room was located above the bar area and was very loud which we were not expecting. At all. The bathroom was adequate but honestly I’ve never seen such a tiny shower in my life. It would never work for someone not average sized. The room was beautiful and the view of the mountain behind hotel was breathtaking with the fall foliage. BUT… the heat could not be controlled in the room so we ROASTED all night. It was the most uncomfortable and disappointing stay ever. I never write negative reviews. And this not a reflection on the front desk staff ( who seemed to be there for 18 he shifts. ). She was lovely. Just be very clear what room you’re booking before staying here.

One of the very first places that I've stayed at where the pictures and the ad actually matched what you got. I had the Lakeview spa wrong big wonderful, king-size comfortable bed. There was also a balcony there was a jetted tub as well as a glass walk-in shower with a waterfall shower. Wi-Fi was excellent. All amenities were excellent but definitely recommend and will be staying again soon.

Several electric outlets in the room weren’t working. Challenge and inconvenience trying to find an operational outlet. A/C unit.s fan was vibrating and rattling making for a poor night’s rest.

Event coord changed the room we room booked 9 mo in advance w/o permission or any notification of the change, even upon check-in. This error meant we had no balcony, desk space or love seat. The bedroom & bath rooms were a nice size but were not at all what we wanted. The credit to our account was appreciated but certainly did not replace the amenities that we had expected. No dining since chef walked out. Wedding party that took our room woke us up w/ yelling in the hallway late in the evening on our last night. The hotel was in a convenient location for dining & wineries.

Checking on was poorly handled. Kenzie wouldn’t give us our room key until she had confirmation that the room was ready. This was right at 3 pm. We gave our cell # and also checked back several times. After waiting about 40 minutes, wr saw her tear out of the front door and leave. My wife checked with the new person at the desk and she promptly got us into our room. Not a good starting experience. The rest of the stay was good.

Amazing trip! Can't say enough about how great we were treated by the staff! Our room was beautiful, clean, comfortable and spacious. This is a very unique property and has to be seen to truly be appreciated. Make a point to stop in for a drink at their cozy bar! You will not be disappointed.

Wanted to hike and enjoyed the falls. Hotel room was clean and comfy. Arrived at 2:50, room not ready, check-in was at 3, so waited till 3:30 to check-in. Got to sit out and enjoyed the view while we waited. Breakfast first day was good, service great, second day was totally different. No eggs, coffee, toast, croissants were hard, no silverware, don’t know what was going on there. Rang the bell for service twice no one came, so then had to open kitchen door to get service, since you could hear them chatting. A little over-rated, I expected more. The area is lovely to visit.

If you are a traveler who lives far away, please do not choose this place. The customer service team is not answering the phone. This place is different from regular hotels. It seems like a private business without such a team. If there is a problem, they can never help. For example, they take money no matter what weather problems, airplane problems, or anything other than your fault. You can't even contact them via phone. If you can contact this INN, they do not help you. Do Not choose this selfish owner place.

The staff is friendly, professional, helpful. With a cozy bar area, a beautiful patio overlooking the lake, and clean, comfortable rooms, we couldn’t have had a better stay. This was a girls’ weekend but I’d like to come back with my husband. The food was excellent- the breakfast buffet was delicious and more than adequate. We stayed in Lakeview and the view from our balcony was gorgeous!

You couldn't find a more picturesque property! The proximity to the neighboring state park, local restaurants, downtown Ithaca, and Cornell University, makes The Inn at Taughannock Falls one of my favorite places to stay when visiting my college kids.

We made the reservation 3 to 4 weeks prior to our stay. We were not told that the restaurant would be closed because the wedding was taking place there. Surely they knew the wedding would be taking place there. We got there after a 4 1/2 hour car ride and were told that there was no availability to eat at the end. Considering The cost of the room, the entire reason for staying at a boutique hotel is to experience all of it and not have to leave the grounds. We brought this up to the front desk and there was no offer of remuneration. The location is beautiful right across from Cayuga lake Our room was adequate, but overall this left a very bad impression.

We really enjoyed staying at the Inn. The room was very clean and comfortable and the balcony was a nice addition to just sit and take in the sights after a long day of hiking the nearby falls and parks. Would have liked if the restaurant was open for dinner but I guess it was still early in the season so it was only open on the weekends. Our stay was Monday - Wednesday so we didn't get to enjoy the restaurant for dinner. The breakfasts were good although I would have appreciated an option for fruit as a lighter breakfast option. Still we had a wonderful time and loved the ambiance and location of this Inn. It's a beautiful spot.

Everything great. Only disappointment was complimentary breakfast buffet from 8 to 10. Get there before 9:30 or you will be scraping scraps from the pans. Attendant looked at them before me, closed the lids and did nothing. What was left was inedible.
