The room had light that didn’t work. The heat did not work. When I went down and told the front desk they told me that I had to just deal with it. There is only one way in and one way out and you can only turn one way. The walls are really thin you can hear everything that is going on outside your room.

They only had 1 staff member there at all times. No towels at the pool and extremely restricted hours at the pool as well even tho the sign said 6am-10pm. No toilet paper in the lobby bathrooms. The room was ok. It was large and pretty clean. I certainly would not use anything in the kitchen tho. I did appreciate that they had five products in the bathroom. But with our overall experience I would not stay here again. There are too many choices in a place like Erie.

My fav hotel in Erie for sure!! Great staff. My first room had a weird smell coming from the ac so they moved our room, no questions asked. Kids loved the pool.

Our room smelled like cigarette smoke so we bought our own air fresheners. The cooktop burners were broken (it would flip the breaker everytime it was turned on) so we couldn't cook some of the food we purchased. We also couldn't adjust the room temperature as it stated. There were only 2 options: 65 degrees and freezing or turn it off and wait until it got too hot and needed turned back on again. The laundry facilities were free so that was helpful. Our room was never cleaned so we were able to at least wash and reuse our bathroom towels.

The room was very specious. The pool and gym were nice. The bathroom could use some work- wear and tear made it look dirty. I wish the parking lot had an entrance from the mall. Pulling out onto Interchange Road with signs that blocked cars was dangerous.

Room not ready when we arrived at 4:30. Not good. Luggage carts were anemic. Come on! Otherwise, stay was very good. We liked the room and the hotel proximity to Presque Isle and dining.

The walls are paper thin. During one night I heard sex, a scary movie, people stomping around all night so much that my entire room was shaking, and little kids using the hallway as a racing track. I did not rest well. Besides that the comforter was a bit dirty, like there were smudges on it could be blood could be poop who knows. But it’s reasonably priced and has easy access to restaurants and stores and main roads, so it’s at a convenient location. Also there is fitness room, a pool, washing machines, and a nice convenience area to make coffee and grab food and such.

Location was hard to access from all that’s around. They were doing renovations when we were there and that wasn’t noted anywhere. Initial room wasn’t clean and we had to be moved. Will not stay again

The room I booked I was told wasn’t available. The pool was absolutely disgusting. My room was dusty. Their was construction being done on my floor and all of the work tools and objects needed to complete tasks were laying all over the floor which was a tripping hazard and also unsafe as I was staying with a toddler. Housekeeping cart and trash cart was also left on floor the entire three night stay.

It needs a deep clean. Someone else’s hair was on the wall of the shower and the bathroom had a general grubbiness where you could tell the floor wasn’t cleaned properly. The pool is small and was full of children who did not care about sharing and being respectful of others. The staff were friendly.

room was filthy. big hair ball on top shelf in bathroom. mold around faucet that they could’ve wiped off bathroom walls had stuff all over. Microwave had greasy fingerprints on the outside of it same with coffee pot. Refrigerator had food in butter, dish area and underwear fruit and vegetables would go. Rugs were not swept, and the roof must leaked and they tried to fix it on the wall in the bathroom looked terrible. The only thing that was cleaned where the sheets pillowcases bed.

There were bags of trash in the hall all weekend. They were the same bags as when I arrived to when I left. The elevator had a water bottle on the floor all weekend. I took my own lysol wipes and lysol spray for the room. The elevator floors were not clean at all. The front desk staff tho was super friendly and polite and knowledgeable.

The property seemed run down. Staff not professional. We arrived and receptionist had coworker sitting on rolling chair across receptionist desk and did not move or give privacy when being registered in. Room was filthy had film of dust on fridge and greasy fingerprints on microwave and dishwasher. Stains on bed cover. Asked to be moved to another room. This one was better but not by much. Bathroom still had stains. I would have stayed at another hotel but I had prepaid the rooms. The area was nice but the hotel was a let down. This was the first time I stayed at a Candlewood but I don’t think I ever will again. Too much money paid for such a bad experience.

This room had ants and was very dirty. I will not be staying here again. Only thing positive is there wasn’t any bed bugs in our room. Very dirty. Hair in in drawers, yellow pee & pubic hairs on the toilet, old wore out linens, ants, dirty utensil drawers, floors were dirty, bed was hard…this was a terrible experience!

Found out at check in that we were bumped from the suite we reserved. Room we got was not comparable but still spacious . Bathroom shower was grimy and had mildew. Very noisy night. I am not sure what all was happening but very disruptive. The morning brought the realization that there is no breakfast here, except one waffle maker. Coffee maker in lobby was also broken. Keurig was there as replacement.

Was put in wrong room upon checking in, but luckily they had the style of room I booked originally and made it right. Remote for tv didnt work properly, seemed like the batteries were dying. Hotels.com website said checkout was 12pm when in fact it is 11am. No issues with parking or location. Overall, a decent 1 night stay.

The place was clean, the suites are nicely set up, with lots of desk space (which I need) and a galley. But the bulb over the bathroom mirror was out, my room wasn't serviced (though I stayed two nights) and from 1am to 3:30am there was a loud party in the next room (folks kept trying to come through the connecting door) and though I complained to the front desk, nothing was done.
The place was clean, the suites are nicely set up, with lots of desk space (which I need) and a galley. Room was huge. Pool was nice for the kids and husband, I thought it was little cold but I'm always cold lol. Heater in bedroom worked but not main living area. Most outlets had something in them so couldn't use them. So had to make do with what ones we could use. The staff was so nice. Gave us extra pillows n sheets and blankets for the pull out couch. Shower was nice and warm and bathroom was very spacious. Kitchen area was nice and tons of space. Only set back was the outlets. Would so stay again though. We had 1 king bedroom and that was super spacious. Weekend stay was nice. Though be nice if exit and entrance had different outlet that wasn't on main busy one way road. But doesn't take away from how great this hotel and staff are.

I made a reservation online for a room with two queen beds. When we arrived there were no rooms available with 2 queens. Had to take a king with a roll out bed. I showed up only to find out that my reservation had been canceled. There were no rooms for me there or at any other hotel in the area so my entire trip was ruined. I received no notice that the hotel was overbooked prior to me arriving, which could’ve allowed me to change my plans. On top of that the front desk person was rude as if I should’ve known better. I will never use Expedia again.

Check in was a nightmare! This property was clearly going through a change of management/? on that day. The Manager told us that it was his last day and that everyone it had been a rough day and everyone was sad. He was attempting to do right by people but it appeared things were way out of his control. They were assigning rooms and when the guest got to the room it was not cleaned. This happened to me, my daughter, 2 others we were traveling with. I also spoke with 2 couples in the elevator who said they were also having issues. The next day, when I checked out, I overheard a woman employee complaining about the guest. I feel this location should compensate the guest that evening.

Although the staff seemed very nice, they did not do anything they said they would do, no matter how many of them promised. They were also problematically disorganized. Although there are signs in the lobby labeling the facility non-smoking, all of the common areas smelled strongly of pot smoke, even the upstairs hallways. The lobby was stiflingly stinky, as the staff was smoking so much pot on the back patio that it constantly wafted in. Not to mention, why would we want to deal with high employees? It is no wonder they did not handle their jobs well. The "free coffee and fruit" breakfast consisted of hoping that there would be enough cups left, and the same one sad apple sitting in a basket for three days. The snack/breakfast room (pay for items) was sparsely stocked. The rooms were clean and did not smell of pot smoke, thankfully. Several objects in the room did not work (lights, DVD player, etc.).

Absolutely the worst hotel experience I've ever experienced. I booked 2 rooms via hotels.com charged my card immediately for both rooms, one for myself and one for a coworker. After traveling all day we arrive to check in and there is only 1 room in there system. After arguing with the desk clerk all that was offered was an apology and a roll away bed as we would have to share a room, very disappointed. We got to the single room and waited an hour. No roll away bed arrived. I went down to the lobby and the girl had left that promised us the roll away and the new crew had no clue. 2 hours later, it arrives. Next morning, we check out and the manager happens to be there. They print me off a receipt for the one room. I said i was charged already for 2? She very rudely said i dont care, she didnt want to see my confirmation email and said you have to call hotels.com. She than printed the receipt off and threw it across of the counter to me. The room was very specious. The pool and gym were nice. The bathroom could use some work- wear and tear made it look dirty. I wish the parking lot had an entrance from the mall. Pulling out onto Interchange Road with signs that blocked cars was dangerous.

Was put in wrong room upon checking in, but luckily they had the style of room I booked originally and made it right. Remote for tv didnt work properly, seemed like the batteries were dying. Hotels.com website said checkout was 12pm when in fact it is 11am. No issues with parking or location. Overall, a decent 1 night stay.

Room not ready when we arrived at 4:30. Not good. Luggage carts were anemic. Come on! Otherwise, stay was very good. We liked the room and the hotel proximity to Presque Isle and dining.

The walls are paper thin. During one night I heard sex, a scary movie, people stomping around all night so much that my entire room was shaking, and little kids using the hallway as a racing track. I did not rest well. Besides that the comforter was a bit dirty, like there were smudges on it could be blood could be poop who knows. But it’s reasonably priced and has easy access to restaurants and stores and main roads, so it’s at a convenient location. Also there is fitness room, a pool, washing machines, and a nice convenience area to make coffee and grab food and such.

The overall stay was not acceptable for the price. 1st We we’re told we could check in after 3 PM, we arrived at 4 and room wasn’t ready not enough staff so had to wait til 530 before we could check in. 2nd no coffee in the room they didn’t get any from their supplier so only coffee was at the front desk. 3rd we rented a room with a kitchen and it had a 2 burner stove and only 1 worked, the silverware was absolutely disgusting and look like it was never cleaned. Their breakfast consisted of waffles and waffles and on Wednesday they had waffles and nothing else. There was mildew all over the shower head. I highly recommend going to another Hotel as this one is potent managed and no one there cares.

All the dishes and utensils were in the dishwasher dirty when I arrived. Food in little store was sparse—poor selection. No carts available at checkout. I’ve been at much nicer Candlewoods. Nice fellow checked me in, but you needed at least 3 of him to take care of all the management deficits!

Found out at check in that we were bumped from the suite we reserved. Room we got was not comparable but still spacious . Bathroom shower was grimy and had mildew. Very noisy night. I am not sure what all was happening but very disruptive. The morning brought the realization that there is no breakfast here, except one waffle maker. Coffee maker in lobby was also broken. Keurig was there as replacement.

There were splatters on the wall in several places. The floor had spots on it as though whatever it was dried there. The coffee maker had dried coffee in the pot and the coffee maker was covered in greasy fingerprints. The sofa bed, which we didn't need because of a delayed flight, had crumbs in it. The foot rest of the recliner was broken and had a loose piece hanging down from it. Seeing all that made us uncomfortable. We were stuck there for the night but checked out a day early.
