We appreciated our stay at this hotel. Breakfast has very good options and plenty of seating. The site on the Keuka lake is quite stunning. Dinner options will be about 1 mile away… a nice walk after eating out. Gym and pool facilities are in good condition. For those with electric cars, a word of caution. The hotel website says that there is a charging station. Reality is they have 2 GFI outlets linked to lighting posts at the far end of the parking lot. So, bring your charging cords! While we were there, we were 2 electric car owners and my GFI kept shutting off , probably because I was the farthest from the hotel. On our second night, I was the only car using the outlet and it went out in the middle of the night, reason unknown. I believe that in the times we live in, it would only be normal to have a bona fide charging station available at this hotel.

A bit challenging to find using any type of Google assistance, but worth the frustration once you get there. We particularly liked the lakefront patio and the on-site restaurant, although small, was a definite plus and the food was excellent. Room was quiet, comfortable, and clean. Would definitely stay there again.

We had a king bed room on 4th floor. Bed was too firm for me but my husband slept fine. Whirlpool could have definitely been warmer. It did have good power though. Breakfast was the usual stuff, eggs, sausage, make your own waffles, cereals, etc. they did a good job keeping it supplied but the warm foods definitely needed to be warmer.

We were so happy with The Hampton Inn Penn Yan. Our lakeside view room was clean spacious and comfortable. Loved that we could walk to dinner at The Main Deck next door. And having entertainment in the lobby bar was so fun. Pool was clean as was the hot tub, which we enjoyed as well. Thanks for a great stay!

When we arrived we were informed that there would be a wedding on the main patio and it would be closed for the afternoon through 7:30. That was disappointing. On Sundays the bar is closed (the day we arrived). Also, because of the wedding that day and a large group the next day we could not get food there at all Sunday and only after 7:30 that night. Many good choices in town though. When the bar was open I asked for the drink, “Sex on the Beach”. The bartender refused to make that drink because of the name. He said it was against his moral standards. I asked what he would make with the ingredients and he made me a Fuzzy Navel. I just don’t agree and felt he was rude. We will return because it is a beautiful spot on Keuka Lake. Manager was apologetic as both situations were out of his control. The room and hotel are spotless. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub.

This stay could not have been better! Staff is amazing, beds and pillows really nice, very clean rooms, nice pool/hot tub area and the outdoor with lake view and firepit was great. Shout out to the breakfast crew, so friendly and the food was wonderful!

The building is very well updated, but our room was very dirty. We had stained blankets, hair in the tub, dirt up the walls, mildew in the shower around the handles, cheese chips in one bed. The staff was very friendly, but they’re so short staffed for the breakfast they couldn’t keep up with guests. The bar was excellent and quick. I pointed out a very large stain on a blanket to housekeeping before we left and she didn’t seem alarmed at all, very concerning for their future. I took pictures, I wish I could post them.

The room I booked is a lake view room. The view of the room is very good and the room is big enough, BUT,,,,, The blanket on the bed may NOT have been changed for a long time. The very bad smell made me unable to sleep all night. I strongly suggest that the management can quickly check every room, don't let this problem affect the reputation of the Hamptom Inn.

Hotel is grossly understaffed. The staff as lovely but forced to cope with cleaning and upkeep beyond their ability. Rooms get cleaned every few days but even though start at 7am our was not serviced until after 4pm… Rooms need more than a once over to bring them up to a 4/5… and I do not see that happening anytime soon. Common areas especially exterior neglected, dirty and never saw anyone working on it. Could be a great property but not with current management and staffing level. Breakfast pre-made, low quality, with horrible coffee. Internet very good. Nothing within walking distance. August and most restaurants in town and nearby towns had limited hours Monday-Thursday so very hard to find a decent meal without searching. Not a lot to do when hot and lake water deemed unhealthy to swim in…For the price I would go else where, area needs a financial boost to help the large class of impoverished locals. But the scenery is awesome, from the lakes to farmland just wish facilities better and I would have returned. Great wineries but cannot just sit and drink…

This is a wonderful property with a beautiful view of the lake. The three star review is because our room close to the lobby was noisy until 1 am on a Sunday night. There is a bar close to the lobby where guests from weddings go after the event and it closes at 1 am. We weren't able to sleep until 1 am and the personnel at the lobby didn't seem to care.

We reserved a room that had a view of the lake which of course was an upgrade. The smallest windows I’ve ever seen. Disappointed to say the least. Room average. Breakfast ok. Staff very nice. Hotel has a great location too bad they didn’t install larger windows when it was built.

We had a premium room “lake side with a patio”- which included an obstructed view of the lake by the building itself. On our lakeside “patio”, all of the air conditioning and heating units were a part of the ambiance. The room itself was okay although the USB chargers were fully dismantled (missing) so we weren’t able to charge the phones. Staff was friendly and helpful. The luxury room and the hefty price tag, definitely NOT worth it.

It was a very big and nice room. It was very convenient for us with our bicycles. It was a let down that there was no on-site restaurant which we thought there was. The Wi-Fi was horrible. The staff were very friendly the view from the patio room was awesome

I love this hotel but this time have tiny little complaints . Heated pool was not warm enough and second day when I asked them it came out they lowered the temperature and I was upset because we really couldnt enjoy enough pool time .They heated the pool second day and it was nice. Also dont know why the room was also cold termostat was not working properly we couldnt get warm enough .But other than that its still a very nice place to stay.

After checking in to the hotel, we got to our room and notice it was not the type of room we reserved. When I called to the front desk, the same gentleman said that a room with a king sized bed and sofa was not available. Supposedly all rooms were booked and they overbooked the hotel. We were not told that our room type was changed during check-in. I guess they thought we wouldn't notice. Disappointing.

Every single person we interacted with went above and beyond to help us. The facilities were clean, the location convenient, and the view and amenities were top notch. Even though breakfast was busy, they worked to make sure everyone had a hot meal. Late checkout was no problem. Just a wonderful experience.

Love that you can sit outside at lake level or a seating area off the lobby. This is our 3rd or 4th time at this Hampton Inn. We had dinner at the restaurant this year, since it was raining and we didn't want to have to drive somewhere. Very convenient to many wineries and downtown Penn Yan. Staff very friendly.

The Hampton Inn Penn Yan was great!! It was right in the middle of everything including the wineries! The staff was friendly and welcoming and the rooms were very clean! Their continental breakfast was really great as well!

Generally was pretty good, non-personable woman who signed us in. Never greeted never thanked didn’t offer water as a Hilton honors. Also mail at the desk always outside the front door smoking which many people commented facility was excellent in general.

Great location right on the lake! We were taking our daughter to visit Keuka College and decided to come the night before. Close to many restaurants and breweries which we really enjoyed. The hotel bar was a nice suprise and staff was very friendly. Great over all stay and would highly recommend!

This Hampton was very nice and the first one I’ve been to that had a restaurant and bar in the hotel. The food was good quality and presented well too. This is the best hotel in Penn Yan and is in a great location as it sits on the lake there. Great views on the lake side.

The room was very drafty and cold even with the themostat set at 76! Breakfast left a lot to be desired. Some of the food was inedible. Flavored (supposed to be strawberry and banana) waffles with cake like consistancy, slime like sausage gravy, unidentifiable sliced sausage??? Worst Breakfast included experience,
