Residence Inn Fort Lauderdale Pompano Beach Central

It was a very nice hotel, great breakfast very nice room with full kitchen and living room. Great bed. Nice pool but the water was too cold to get in cause it’s not heated. It’s in an industrial area so there was nothing nearby but we would stay here again

Everything was fine. Except that I did not see a parking fee advertised anywhere and no one told me about it at check- in. Internet went out at 11 pm on Saturday. Told the front desk. They said they were working on it. When I went to breakfast at 7am, the manager did not know it was out.

I booked and paid for my room in Pompano Beach Florida. Upon arrival. We were informed that the pool would be out of service for our entire stay. I should have been notified due the booking process or offered assistance in locating a different location. While this may have Ben ok in Wisconsin or Michigan, it’s not ok in FLORIDA.

I have stayed at this property several times recently. It’s a good midrange hotel and convenient to where I needed to be. It has a nice little kitchen are with a large refrigerator and some dished, silverware and glasses. The bed was comfortable but it was difficult to cool the room. It wouldn’t get cooler than 75 during the day and 72 at night. I was a bit frustrated at the house keeping. We stayed 6 nights and housekeeping only came once. The gym was small but had what I needed, except, no cups for the water, no towels, nothing to wipe down the equipment when finishing workout and it was 80 degrees in there. The breakfast was free and available every day.

Enjoyed the hotel until I looked on my credit card account and I owed $4.14 from the hotel. Called the hotel and asked what that was and they said it's the charge for parking. Had no idea about this charge and no one told me at check-in. Usually normal hotels will tell you if there is a charge for parking. The guy I spoke to after I stayed there said it's on our website. That may be true, but why aren't you telling that to people when they check-in that don't go on your website to look at the details? Not a big fan of surprise charges. I understand its only $4.14, but warn the customer at check-in instead of assuming they read the website. Not happy with this stay because of this.

Stayed one night before a cruise.good breakfast.loved the egg/english muffin sandwich. Elevator was broken but staff was very apologetic. Fixed by morning.

The carpet is old and dirty. The staff was cordial and nice. I think to charge for parking in Florida, specially in Pompano Beach, is completely unacceptable. Worst is that you only know that you will be charged, after your stay. If I knew they would charge for parking, I would not stayed.

First room was not fully cleaned upon arrival. The young man at the desk was able to switch our room to our satisfaction. Pool is not heated (or atleast was chilly if it in fact is) and the firepit shown in the photos was not working- we were hoping to be able to sit and enjoy this. Parking lot does fill up in the evenings. Was able to find parking but we were aware of others less fortunate - not sure what the solution to this was for them.

Overall OK for a night or two. I stayed for a week. - They billed me for purchases I never made. - It was hard to get housekeeping to clean our room, they would keep telling me it has been scheduled and no one showed up. - The water in the pool was extremely cold, appears that they were not running the heating / not a heated pool. - Like that they had a full size fridge and microwave. Get your own pans! The kitchen had 2 pans - one of them was so large that it did not fit the tiny stove-top which almost flush with the fridge.

Decent hotel...just off Route 95S but noise not an issue. Kitchenette was nice to have... Surprisingly housekeeping never came during the 7-night stay, even though we were told they would come every other day. To be honest, we didn't pursue it, as we were fine as long as we could get new towels (which we did). Little gift bag at check-in was a nice surprise. And Marcos (Marcus?) remembered our name during the week, which I thought was pretty neat. Breakfast was decent - til 9:00 during the week, 9:30 on weekends. Wish it was a little later. Printer in lobby was not working. According to the sign, has been out of order since 1/28/24. Parking was unusually priced at about $4 per night. Why. The hotel is in an industrial park with (essentially) nothing else near it. Why the need for any charge at all.

Surprise parking fee, room smelled musty and was humid, bed was like a rock, linens smelled like mildew, fridge made a noise like an nba shot clock going off every 45 minutes.

While the lobby was nice, the room definitely showed the age of the hotel. I can handle that, though. The fact that the room had not been truly cleaned, however, was just gross. There was food stuck to the floor in the kitchen, a glop of shampoo or bath wash in the shower floor as well as hairs, and hairs on the little table next to the couch. The breakfast was, at best, mediocre. I will say that the front desk staff was friendly, though, and when I spoke to the head of housekeeping about the condition of my room, she was kind and apologetic

Everything was clean . Confortable. Breakfast was great also. Property condition was excellent.

The most important aspects of a hotel stay for me are: Cleanliness and level of quiet. I couldn’t have been happier. The customer service from the on-site employees was second to none! I look forward to staying again!

I have never seen a residence Inn in this part of a condition. The couches are sagging. The appliances are old. The floors are old with dirt ingrained in them. The air conditioners are old and leaking. These rooms are very small for residence Inn. This hotel is very dingy.

I liked the lobby, breakfast, gym, corner front room, lake walk with trees and birds. I did not like the pool area with lack of winter sun, cockroach in first assigned room, dirty floors in suites.

I have zero complaints with this hotel. 2nd stay. Nice room, clean, comfortable bed, good size desk to work from, a sofa to relax on , kitchen, good water pressure and very quiet despite being near or at capacity. Yes the location is somewhat unusual but it's close to what I needed and is not an issue in my opinion. Staff was pleasant. I would recommend.

When I got to the room. The toilet paper was almost run out and a little disgusting knowing I would be using a role of toilet paper the previous guest was using. Seeing that, we did our own cleaning of the toilet and tub due to the fact we found pubic hair in the toilet and urine stains that we had to clean ourselves.

The room should have been cleaner. Door knobs were dirty and the shower had hair in it

One of the nicest hotel I’ve ever stayed at. So nice to have a kitchen with full size fridge/freezer. Excellent breakfast as well.

Bed/sheets/pillows smelled strongly like a man’s cologne….zero cell service…wireless internet unusable, “free breakfast” closes during prime time everyday at 9 am..they clearly don’t want to provide the breakfast, never received marriot welcome package, many dogs barking all day. Will never stay again.

Only downside was the noise factor. Being so close to the highway it’s kind of unavoidable. Not much the hotel could do about that.

Full kitchen with full sized fridge in the rooms is a nice touch when you’re traveling and plan to have a lot of food with you. Rooms are a nice size overall. Bed are okay as far as comfort levels. Breakfast was really good as well.

First room was dirty and the air conditioner made a horrible noise. They promptly gave us another room. We were supposed to get a room refreshing every two days. I was down at the front desk every day till day number 5, when they finally did a full clean. Then two more days and no clean. Day before we were scheduled to leave, the people in the room next door were smoking and we had to close the bathroom door to reduce how much smoke smell came into the room. Called the front desk and they sent someone up. And it stopped. Then at midnight the room started smelling of burning toast. This continued until the people next door checked out much later that day. The front desk manager and another employee came to check on our complaint about the smell. They verified it smelled strongly of burning toast. They investigated. An offer was made to switch us to another room. I declined because we were leaving the next day. However we ended up staying another night. Finally by the time we left, we were able to clear most of the stench out if the room. Some of what happened was not the hotels fault. However, with everything in mind, it was one of the worst stays I’ve had. I was frustrated that out of a 10 day stay, the room was only scheduled for a cleaning one day. And I had to go down and complain to get that. Then the smoking and burning toast smell for days to top it off. The everyone was verbally apologetic. It cost about $1,900 for this.

Surprised that the room was so big. It has everything for an extended stay. Sorry that I am only staying for one night.

Difficult to get in and out of property location. Mattress in pull out couch was horrible

This residence inn was like the ones we would stay in. It was a older and not updated place. Service and especially the food provided was excellent. I was disappointed with the hotel shape which we would always look to stay at residence inn because we felt like we were home away from home.

Spacious room and comfortable bed

In baseball jargon our stay was, "A walk off home run!" Perfect room, hospital clean and all personell were outstanding.

I give this place 3* in experience of my stay. Walked in a little early, was nice to have got a tiny bit earlier check in that's probably the only part I would give 5* over. Guy (the front desk) pretty nice person and polite. The young girl in the morning shift, not polite at all. She is very rude. My husband often wakes up earlier than I and, he goes and sits minding his own business down in the lobby at all hotels, never ever been an issue, whilst I am still asleep. He got thrown out of the lobby, because the "the lobby is closed, that's why the lights are off" - We get that, she could be polite about it and no need for attitude and making noises under breath (urgh) like it's a major inconvenience. We are GUESTS, not people who walked off the streets. BREAKFAST - May as well, go to a IHG hotel or a Comfort Inn. This was awful. First and foremost the best are McKibbon group owners of this hotel, as you see the difference. Go to the one by Tampa and you, will see cheese, charcuterie boards, real good selections. This breakfast was awful, even the lids don't fix cups for coffee. As for coffee and hot water during the day. Do NOT expect it. It is "breakfast only" So, if you want a Tea or some hot water. Go to the room! They have the set up down there for "looks" ROOMS - Nice size. Bed comfy. Bathroom, 7 pubic hairs in shower, uncleaned and unsanitary. Called down to front "sorry no more rooms available. I will have someone clean up" No one came at all. NOT, Marriott standard.

Marcos on the Evening Shift, checked me in. He was very hospitable and explained the amenities in the room.

The staff was very welcoming and warm. The front desk attendant extended my check out so I could shower after SCUBA diving before I got on the road home. I extremely grateful.

Front desk gentleman very rude

We stayed at this hotel for one night before taking a cruise out of Fort Lauderdale. The hotel is conveniently located approx. 22 min drive from the FLL Port Everglades cruise port which makes it an ideal stop. The staff is absolutely amazing; a special shoutout to Jabari Campbell at the front desk who was very kind, welcoming and helpful. Parking was easy right in front of main entrance. The hotel is located in an industrial area which looks nice, adjacent to a lake, close to the I-95 and close to the Tri-Rail. The room was clean and spacious with a comfortable bed. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful. We would definitely recommend this property and stay there again when in the area.

The property was ok. I stayed 18 days housekeeper only cleaned room twice.

I never ever have my incidental fees released for $50. Can you please tell me why I don’t get my money back. That’s absolutely unprofessional and unacceptable

I enjoyed my time there. Jabari at the front desk helped make my stay very enjoyable by being so friendly and helping me get the kind of room I wanted.

Older property, refreshed, inside a commercial area. 1/2 mile to get out of the area. However limited nearby facilities.

Property in good condition, appears to have been recently renovated. Clean and well kept. Bed was very comfortable. Property is tucked away and not easy to find. Not much in walking distance.

We were on the main floor looking out at the pool. This gave us easy access to the side door and parking lot. You need to have a car here as all restaurants are 3-5 miles away. The hotel charges a nominal nightly fee of around $4.00 to park.

This property is close to interstate 95 which makes it easy to get around.

Urban atmosphere with Shopping & Restaurants not in my opinion not in walking distance but not to far away. Tri Rail Station not in walking distance but fairly close that provides access to the Airport, both cruise ports, Downtown Miami with further connections available

This property is nearby where we live so it was a great place for visitors to stay. We were pleasantly surprised by how nice and new everything looked. The room was REALLY nice. The guests really had no complaints--the only thing that's kind of disappointing is that breakfast ENDS at 9 am, so if you're not up and downstairs early, you're going to miss out. They really need to end it later, since it's supposed to be included. But that's not a deal breaker. We'd recommend...

This hotel was amazing. Very clean. Condifable bads, the staff was incredible friendly. The pool was clean and cozy, and the breakfast was very generous. We are traveling a lot and this is one of our favorite.

First Class facility with subtle amenities that aren’t usually found at other facilities in this price range. Extremely clean. Friendly staff. I was very impressed. No restaurant but breakfast offered a good selection.

Very clean hotel and staff was very helpful. I thought the breakfast could have a few more options like pancakes and waffles, but I was happy that it's available and it's a hot breakfast. Will definitely return.
